The scale is going down:) Down 25.5 pounds!!!!! PTL. I have now lost 98% of dd's weight or 67% of ds's weight!!!! So happy I started this healthy eating, but wish I had started it earlier

I did my four mile run/walk this morning with both kids in the jogger. We got a bit wet by the end since it started raining! It looked like it might rain, so I brought along the kids raincoats, thank goodness. I got on the elliptical for a half an hour this afternoon during nap time:) I really like to feel the burn!

B: Kashi ceral with blueberries, skim milk and sweet and low. one cup of coffee.

Snacks: Piece of swiss lorraine and turkey, nuts, celery and npb, sugar free vanilla pudding (my favorite!)

L: Southbeach dilled shrip salad with herb dressing...YUM!

D: brocolli and porkchop with sugar free apricot preserves and mustard suace:) YUMMY!!!!!

Will edit later to add snacks and other meals:)

The food journaling part is tough for me. It's hard enough to work 40 hours a week, take care of my young children and cook all these meals:) Let alone write it all down. I should and will try, but today I only have a few seconds to jot down some fabulous results from the past two months....

*I had a VERY high blood pressure reading at the end of April, Today it is in the normal range 113/77 (I did this through weight loss, minimal alcohol and a low sodium diet).

*I noticed I am not getting out of breath anymore! I would carry my toddler upstairs for bed and I was winded when I read her a bedtime story and prayers. Not anymore though:)

*When I started walking/running four miles I was walking more than running. Now I feel much stronger and I run 80% of the way:) I am feeling stronger on the elliptical after one week of using it

*I have officially lost 26 pounds:) 100% of my daughter's weight. WOO HOO!!!!!!!! Now I am working of getting to my son's weight of 38.5 pounds (as of right now I have lost 68% of his weight).

I am feeling a bit guilty about my mini brag yesterday...okay, it was a big brag. Honestly, I have been searching for other ways my health is improving other than in the weight area. Yes, I am still losing, but like to look into other benefits of eating right and exercising.

I am about to head out for a morning four mile run/walk behind the baby jogger. I got on the elliptical later today. I had a crazy weekend at work, but have two days off in a row 8) . I need to spend time with the kiddos, exercise and organize toys  . The toys are multiplying before my very eyes.

Breakfast: eggbeaters omelette with onion, green pepper, mushroom and canadian bacon. Coffee with skim milk and a glass of Crystal Light.

Lunch: 1/2 whole wheat pita with Turkey and lowfat and sodium swiss. 20-25 grapes.

Dinner: 3/4 of a burger (no bun), mashed yams and a glass of wine

snacks: 1/2 pita with roasted red pepper hummus and 20 peanuts

I've had about 8 glasses of water so far today. I like to have 12 or more.

Feeling great. The pounds aren't coming off as fast as I would like this week, but TOM is right around the corner. I did take some "during and during" photos today and was astonished that ten pounds could make such a big difference. I took them at 15 pounds lost and 25 (actually 27) pounds lost. My muffin top (or I should say muffin  ) is shrinking:).

I feel like a loser as far as the journal writing goes. The eating is fine and so is the weight loss. I have been bad regarding having more wine than I should, eating after the kitchen is closed (8 pm) and I like to drink more water than I have been. I am getting in at least 64 oz, but I like a lot more and probably should have more since I work out a lot.

I am in a slump this week mentally. It could be TOM or the fact that we are about a week away from the first anniversary of my brother's death. Either way, I am mellow and a bit sad....

I am feeling better today. Dd slept in a bit, so I was able to get on the elliptical for thirty minutes before she got up for the day.

Happy 10 year anniversary to me and dh:) We are having fresh crab tonight after the kiddos go to bed. Will be breaking a few rules today...eating after 8pm being the first of them! Plus, I have to have a beer with my crab AND salt:( I can't wait!!!!! Will eat clean until then though:)

After my run this morning I was down 32 pounds. I did eat breakfast before my run, so felt great running. In fact, I felt awesome and was able to really push myself to go at a faster clip. I am 17 pounds away from being "overweight" on the BMI charts:) What a celebration that will be!!!!

Have to BUMP my journal up:)!

Yesterday was my first ever HUGE cheat day. I had PIZZA and Double stuffed oreos. Bad day, but needed to do it. MIL diagnosed with cancer in several areas of her body:( To complicate things, we do not get along:( So, I had a day of emotional eating and got back on the program today.

I am terrible at journaling my meals   ...but like to journal successes and challenges 8)

Last week I had a bit of a rough patch, but all is resolved PTL:) I gained seven pounds (5 overnight  ) and lost it again. The five overnight was from WAY too salty food and I felt like a huge balloon the following morning , which lead me to a LONG walk/run (7 miles, four of which I ran) and I drank the entire Mississippi that day:) All is back on track.

Before I started Southbeach way of eating, my belly was really big. It was so big I got onto a kiddy rollercaoster with my son and was humiliated to find out I couldn't ride it b/c my tummy was too big and had to get off the rollercoaster:oops: ...well, I got on the rollercoaster again this weekend and I was small enough to ride!!!!!! WOO HOO!

My baby turned two today:( Here she is with her new favorite shoes, despite the fact that patent leather shoes are way to hot for a hot muggy day!
