I'm rather disappointed at my GAIN of 2.5 pounds. However, after some reflection (and a workout that involved kickboxing ... that invisible guy got his ass handed to him!), I am a bit more lucid and can analyze a bit more objectively.
Yep, it stinks, but I've earned it, at least some of it. I didn't do as well on my water as I should have, I've eaten some pretty salty stuff the past couple of days, not to mention the candy extravaganza on Easter. I've been eating more grains, too ... 2 or 3 servings a day. On the positive side, I've also been doing some serious work with weights in my workouts, as well as working big muscle groups, so I may very well have gained a bit in muscle, even in a short time. And I'm still down 2 pounds overall, which is a slow, healthy rate for the weight to come off.
Taking a deep breath. Now ...
Started today doing 60 minutes of mostly weights and toning stuff (lunges, dips and the like) and some ab/core things. I ate a good breakfast, drank my water, and am off to a good day at school. It's sunny here, and I know I'm moving in the right direction, so I choose not to eat a bag of Crazy Bread and indulge in a trip to my favorite local bakery (or the Hostess crap I'll see when I stop to buy bread at the outlet store) to stuff away the empty feelings of failure. Never works, anyway.
Had sick fun with the kids and chocolate bunnies ... I'm really kind of a twisted mama, but my kids think I'm pretty funny.
Happy Tuesday, one and all! May we eat healthfully and take good care of ourselves today.
