Get them into South Park - that's good stuff!

As I kid I loved cartoons. Bugs Bunny, Scooby Doo, Tom & Jerry, Mighty Mouse, Casper, The Smurfs, all that fun stuff.

I can't say I really watch any cartoons these days, but what few minutes I have seen here and there as I flip stations doesn't do much for me. Plus, having the kids at school talk about it all the time is enough to make me not like them.

Have a great Saturday!

Afternoon, all!

After staying up late to do laundry and ending up doing "laundry" instead  , I really had to get moving this morning. Got up and immediately started actual clothes-washing laundry and other cleaning things around 7:30am, and have kept going ever since. Yay, me! Just stopping in to log my food and say howdy before I jump back in.

Hope everyone's staying warm ... we collected another 2-3 inches last night, so the outdoor egg hunt is not an option. Ah, well. Spring lasts longer this way, I guess, and now I'll have more time to to all the yardwork that didn't get done this week!

Have a wonderful Easter, if that's your thing ... if not, just enjoy the weekend! I'll try to check back later.

Just a quick check to see how everyone's doing ... I had a very nearly traumatic visit to Walgreen's, where I discovered a Russell Stover WHITE chocolate bunny filled with peanut butter. Big one. Heard it calling me before I even turned into that aisle. Walked past it several times before picking it up and looking at the nutrition information. Actually wasn't half bad, for a sugar-filled yummy thing. Placed it back on the shelf, paid for my stuff and left without a backward glance.

Hooray!

Now yes, I did come home and have some jellybeans while I filled baskets, but that was in the plan. One serving is 27 pieces, which is what I ate. And now I feel exceptionally ill. Seriously. Like, may need to get this outta my stomach ill. I'm hoping not, and I'm going to go drink a bunch of water to dilute it, but I am very regretful now. Penance!

Happy (official on the east coast, anyway) Easter!

Oh yeah, food for the day ...

B - steel-cut oats, NPB, Granny Smith apple

S - never had one

L - small piece of pork loin, a pound (literally) of roast asparagus

S - 1/2 WW pita w/NPB and strawberries

D - 3 Ryvita sesame rye crackers w/FF cheddar (broiled in oven), tomato soup, salad with Newman's RF raspberry walnut dressing

S - steamed milk w/SF vanilla syrup, jellybeans (blech!)

E - yoga, about 35 minutes

Haven't had all my water, but I'll do that now. Journaled here, and did exercise, so it's been a good day for Beaglebug goals. Better still, I went through about 8 loads of laundry so far, all of it folded and put away, and moved most of the clothes in my closet onto wooden hangers (I've only had them sitting around for 4 months or so ... about time!). Also have cleaned various spots around, and am going to keep going for a while.

Y'know, I was going to write some pithy thing about all my Easter candy cravings and how beastly advertising is, but I feel SO yucky right now that I'll pass. Going to go drink a quart and feel sorry for myself. Hope you all have a better night than I!

Happy Easter!

Sorry the jelly beans made you feel icky. Good 2nd grade term there! Anyway - just makes for a memory that will help you resist next time.

Enjoy your day!

Brooke ~ I thought about you when Laura mentioned the jelly beans. I think it was last week we had to talk you off the ledge, wasn't it?

Morning, all!

Yep, ate a lot of stuff yesterday, some good, some bad, and am now starting afresh. Not even going to post a menu for yesterday because it's ancient history now, and I'm trying to stop the cycle of "I wasn't perfect! I suck! I failed once again! Therefore, I shall go bury my pathetic loserness in baked goods of all sorts!" Sounds like most of you made better choices than I, so good on you! I shall strive to follow your most excellent example.

Back to school today, and we're off and running ... lots to do, so not much time for lurking and posting. Off to a great start on the day:

E - 55 minutes mixed weights/step/aerobics/squats/lunges/dips and stuff; 32 oz. water

B - steel-cut oatmeal, NPB and a Granny Smith apple, 1 can Diet Coke

S - Easter egg of the hard-boiled variety

No day but today, right? So I shall do my best to insure it's a good one. Off for more water ...

Hi! I've seen your posts and just wanted to check out your journal! So, you didn't get to hunt eggs? I guess they should've come up with "white" easter eggs this year to hide in the snow!!! No snow here, except a few flakes, but VERY cold for this time of year (32).

Nice to meet you!

Better choices? Did you read what I ate yesterday? .... bread with a hot cheese dip, stuffed mushrooms (apps), then potato leek soup, prime rib and stuffed pork roast, roasted veggies, and broccoli, carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, and fruit. Oh - and a couple of chocolate eggs too! I have made better choices than that stuff, that's for sure!

Good luck with school today!

AnneG - I was reading yours while you were reading mine - sounds fabulous! But see, you can start with the "eating for two" thing - I have no excuse other than I just decided to take a day off!

Anne of the green, welcome! My 9-year-old decided to set up his own egg hunt indoors for the 3-years olds, so eggs were hunted, yes. They ate most of their candy yesterday, so not much of an issue today ... couple of bunny parts in the fridge for after dinner. Usually they'll have a bunch (like at Halloween), be excited for a day, then forget all about it 'til I throw it away 3 months later. Decided to avoid that by only doing a little candy this year. They were pretty sugared up yesterday, though ...

Running home for lunch and to clean a bit ... living room is trashed and DH has students starting at 5pm. Laundry is, indeed, at rolling foothills level, though I am striving to reduce it to flatlands by next weekend.

One step at a time ...
