The final impossible 20 - Possible??

Postby ssaritha » Thu Feb 01, 2007 12:36 am

OK, I decided I will start my journal too and here it goes.

I am 27 (just turned couple of days back, miss 26 :( ), married, mother of 21/2 yr old son. After my son I tried SB and lost more than 35 pounds (because I gained tons of weight with pregnancy and after the baby stress did it) and kept it off for 11/2 yrs now. But this 130's is not my goal, I was down to 127 last Sept, but vacations, holidays I back to 130's. Hate this cycle, so decided I am going to do it right this time and SB is the one for me (I am only 5'2", so would love to be 114). I love being on SB (Phase 1 being the toughest part), but doesn't feel like diet. There are lot of things I have changed and it's become a lifestyle, but now just time to get rid off the last 15-16 lbs and reach the goal. So I am here and I will post everyday as to what I did and how close or far away I am from my goal. I like being on this journey with others and this is a great site.

So today starting over like (101th time) wasn't that good, but I am not going to start beating myself up and just give up the whole day saying I will start tomorrow, because today is yesterday's tomorrow. :P

BK: (hubby got Burger king so just took a bite of sandwich and one bite size hash brown - didn't like it)

Skim decaf latte

L: Rotaissaire chicken, couple of steak fries and bit cole slaw (I wasn't good, will get this right soon)
S: 6 cashews
D: Tons of vegges, some chicken and black eye peas
S: probably Sf jello

Thanks for listening everybody, looking forward to reaching goal with u all!!!!

Welcome!!! Having a journal to write in everyday really helps gear you in the right direction. Post your meals, that helped me at first b/c i would feel guilty writing i cheated, therefore i wouldn't..

Secondly, i would pick a day to start completely phase 1..right now it seems you are easing yourself into it, which is smart. But committ to a day that you officially phase 1.

once again, welcome aboard!!

Happy beaching

Vicky

hmm, Day 2 Not as good as I wanted to be, but this how it went

Super hungry yesterday (could be because ate dinner really early the day before and no snacks after - oh well)

BK: 1/2 hardboiled egg and 1 hard boiled egg just the white
SK latte
S: 4-5 cashews
L: Chicken breast with veges (cauliflower, brocolli, carrot and peas)
Was still starving
V8 juice
Small cracker with 1 tsp of peanut butter (I am not a fan of peanut butter but this did the trick for me, I wasn't hungry after that)

S: A few fritos (guys were eating some so ended up eating a few - I know this bad, I will get this right soon)

D: Vegge Omlette, tons of veges and bit of black eye peas (it was good)
I ate couple of bites (tiny) of son's pizza.
I am going to be good Friday (Please help God!!!) -

My hubby wants to take me out too, last Monday was B'day and we were all sick so we went to one of the chain restaurants and today he wants to take me somewhere nice. :P Let's see.

(Oh, my scale finally budged the right direction - oohoooo!!!) I belong to the daily scale club, I will soon stop it -it's an addiction, my 21/2 yr old checks his weight too, he is super skinny like his dad.

(The best thing abt this, I told my hubby no b'day gifts and when I reach 125 and maintain for 2 wks I get $$$ (a good chunk) - so I can shop when I reach goal. if that's not motivating, what else. Oh, got to go, will catch up alter. Hope you guys did well yesterday. Have a great SB day!!

Hi,

Thanks Vicky for stopping, support makes a big difference. Thanks again!!

Ok, Finally successfully did day 1 yesterday. I was busy yesterday, so couldn't really post.

BK: coffee with lf milk
Eggs

S: String Cheese

L: Chicken with veges/cottage cheese

S: Sf jello, cashews

D: Salad with brocolli slaw (it was yummy), bit of chicken
Egg, lentil, bit of lamb stew, yogurt

S: (My little cutie was having cookie, I was soo tempted) - had some lf cheese.

So it was pretty good. Today is a different day. I don't eat untill dinner on Tuesdays, but I am still going to be honest and stay SB. Usually I can have milk and fruits (I fast every tuesday), I am trying not to eat fruits for this week and next. Wish me luck!

How are you all doing today??

Great job!!! Your day 1 looks good!! just make sure the yogurt is plain non fat, that's the only kind allowed on phase 1 unfortunately but you can do a ton of things to spice it up.

hope you are having a great day!!

Thanks Vicky, yogurt has been ff plain yogurt since Nov 2004 (first time I started SB). I used mix splenda with yogurt, but cut down artificial sweetners since Jan.

Ok, Day 2 - Oooh - I made it.
(Tuesdays I fast till evening, so I usually drink milk and i think I mentioned this before and eat fruits but the first 2 wks of SB no fruits - so don't wonder how come I am not eating)

BK: Coffee w/ lf milk
L: Grande decaf skim latte
S: Cheese stick/ vege soup (met some friends at local bakery/cafe, soup came with fresh bread- didn't tough it yeah!!!)

D: Tons of veges, paneer (Indian cheese something like tofu) with onions, peppers and lentil (yummy), plain ff yogurt

S: S/f jello

I did good today. TOmorrow I have to remember to have 2 cups of vegies with my BK (usually eggs). Thanks for whoever is reading my journal and helping me stay on track. Happy SB day!!

Ok, OK, don't kick me out of phase 1 (I did one big no no, wasn't a big damage though)

My son has been sick, running to doc, picking up prescriptions working has been a very crazy day

BK: 1 egg, bit of tofu with veges (it was yummy), coffee with lf milk

S: SOn had chicken fingers , so had like two of them (Not so SB friendly choice)

Late Lunch big salad with bit of rotaissaire chicken

D: Veges, Rotaissaire chicken, bit of lentil, the big NO NO of the day I had 1/4 of a bbq chicken pizza. Minor slip up, but I wasn't really craving anything. if it was any other day, I would have probably messed up the complete dinner and eaten whatever. But I didn't want to do that, so one good thing.

So wasn't such a good day, but I will do better today. My cravings have really gone away, there are cookies and cup cakes around the house (I have a 21/2 yr old, so can't really throw them out), I am not even tempted to touch them, so that's good. One more week, i can't wait to get to P2. The scale is still, but I have 10 or so pounds to lose, so I am not expecting miracle to happen in P1, as long as I am more controlled and don't crave junk. Thanks for visiting and encouraging me. Happy SB day!!

I don't know what's wrong with me, Friday was messed up. Today morning, I don't feel good about posting here, but I have to.

My baby has been sick, so woke up at 4:00, and left for work at 5ish, so can come home early. His dad stayed with him home.

BK: Coffee with lf milk
S: Grande decaf skim latte with sf syrup
L: (wasn't untill 2:30, I had to go for an appt). Rotaissaire chicken, 3 steak fries and coleslaw - THAT WAS NOT GOOD CHOICE

D: egg with chicken and veges and a cup of noodles. I was too hungry and there was nothing else in the house, with the baby sick I didn't have time to cook and was sick of just having eggs. So I messed up and I feel awful today. But I am hoping if I have to I will do an extra day. What do you guys think? Thanks for listening.
