I'm still working on the finger chording thing. My fingers don't work that way either. I used to play the piano (wish I still did), and your fingers have to be cooking a little for that though.

Hey Muriel...I just did a quick check in your journal and blog and I see that we have something in common! Let's just say I'm originally from Utah   . I'm in Virginia now.

You sound like you are doing great, really. Your kids pictures at the Halloween party were ADORABLE!! I need to show them to my 6 yr old ds. I noticed the pass-along cards behind them  .

Well, have a great day tomorrow.

What a small world, both my husband and I are from the SL area, we both grew up in Sandy. I'm from closer to Draper and he grew up right between Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons.

What took you to Virginia? That's quite a change.

DHs job. I'm really into history and political science so I love it here (we're in the DC suburbs).

I'm pretty sure we will be going back because my husband loves it so much out there. I kinda like being a little...I-don't-know..."different" out here.

I think it's been great for my 4 kids. I have a teen ds and I feel like she just thrives out here as opposed to how my teen/high school years were  . I don't know if that makes any sense!!

I just attended my first aerobics class at the gym in many years. I used to be quite the gym rat, and since having kids (and becoming poor), I haven't made it a priority. I figured I could do everything I wanted at home on my own, which is true to some extent. One thing I noticed while punching, kicking, and running laps, is that I work so much harder when in the company of others. Who cares if I look stupid and weak in the comfort of my family room, but I had to darn well look like I had all the energy in the world in front of others. I couldn't look like the weakest link. While I probably will only go when invited by a friend with a free pass, I got a great workout and am just coming down from the "high".
