I have been terrible about posting in this journal!!!! I guess it's better to remember to run than to post, right?

I'm doing the Pookie Challenge this month so must stay on top of things.
In other news I am still unemployed (more time for exercising  ), and the countdown is T-minus 6 months to wedding dress. Time to get it in gear.

how exciting you're planning a wedding. my son was married in 2005 and i just said, "here's some money....use it for whatever". i stayed out of the planning part. i have seen too many crazy brides to even get near. i am sure when it's my daughter though it will be a different story. i wish i would have found this WOE before his wedding. i looked awful. don't repeat this to anyone, but honest to god, i felt like aunt bea that day. you know aunt bea from the andy griffith show. it was terrible. i don't think i had ever been as fat as i was at that time in my life and then i went and had my hair done (my daughter in law really wanted all the women to have this done. a nice little female time together. so i did it. never again.) i have kind of wild hair, long and curly, wavy like. and this lady put it up on my head. oh my gosh! and then i want to slap all the people that told me that the dress i had picked out looked good. for pete's sake, i was looking for honesty. not false compliments. it was bad. i truly felt like i looked like aunt bea. i cringe whenever i see the pics. thank god i'm not in too many of them. well, now that i am having flashbacks, i'll shut-up........
i saw you paid me a visit so i wanted to return the favor and see how you are doing. it's always nice to know people are watching. adds a little more accountability to the whole thing...............

KT- The wedding pictures are my main motivation right now. Yeah, I know I know, health, fitness. But seriously, those pictures will haunt me forever if I'm not happy with them. Mostly I want to tone up the arms since it's a strapless dress.
I have the same type of wild curly hair and I've gotten coaxed into putting it up.... not good. Not sure what I'll do for my wedding. Probably down but pulled back. we'll see. I want to get a clear idea before I go in and end up with something i don't like.

------------------------
Starting weigh in: 146

Week 1

Exercise Plan
M: Run 3 mi DONE!
T: Abs & Legs DONE!
W: Run 2 mi DONE!
T: Run 5 DONE!
F: Run 4 + Abs
S: Rest
S: Run 5
-------------------------
The scale is already down a pound or so. Yay!! 144.5 today :D
Today I run 5 miles. Not sure how I'll get this exercise in once I actually find a job, but I'll figure it out.

i know what you mean about the pics, they are forever........impressive that you are going to run 5 miles. my sister runs and i have always thought i would like to but then i just stay on the elliptical. i always tell her she was made for running but i wasn't. she's 5' 8" or so and thin with long legs. i'm 5' 3", short legs and big boobs. i know i could do it eventually but on the elliptical i don't get too much of the boobs jumping around. at my age i'm trying to keep all the tendons and ligaments in that area intact, so they can do their job, haha...... maybe one of these days.....well, keep up the good work. you're already seeing some downward movement of the scale.....good job!

I got married 3 months ago. I started SBD about month before the wedding because I was afraid I won’t be able to feet into my dress if I keep eating like I was eating. And sure enough I lost just enough for my dress to feet perfectly and pictures were great.

Dee that is a great result. I already feel better about pictures- I just want to tone up my arms if nothing else. Strapless. Eeeek!!!

So today I went for a run that was supposed to be 5mi but i got a bad stitch and just wasn't feeling it so I stopped after 1.5 So I'll give it another try this afternoon to finish up the 5. Let's hope it goes better this time.

Hi SP. I was insane about my arms for my wedding pictures. They were fine but b/c I was tiny on the bottom and still a 36DD on top(I am only 5'2) in some pictures I looked like Dolly Parton  . Thank goodness we chose a photographer that used only digital. They gave me a boob reduction  at least in the pictures.
And hey, you are getting married on my b-day. Great choice of days.

Wow RG that is a lot of "boobage"!!! So what did you do for your arms? I found a workout on self.com called "jiggle proof your arms"

http://www.self.com/fitness/workouts/slideshows/2005/12/26/010828wo_jiggle?printable=true

I like it so far. It kicked my butt the first time i did it. It combines moves a lot so you are really doing 2 exercises. Also theres this handstand thingie that is deadly.

oooooh Tits is getting maaaaried!!! hee hee I will toss you a virtual bouquet!!
Today we went hiking and it just about killed me. DOn't know why. It was a new park we hadn't been to before but it was no different from others we do. Maybe cause I ran yesterday? I was such a wimp and DBF was way ahead. grrrr. Ah well. Hopefully that won;t kill my run for tomorrow.
I read on coolrunning.com that people find weightloss starts kicking in at 25 mi/week. YMMV of course but that is what I am shooting for (am up to about 20 now)
