Being & Becoming

Postby Leigha » Sat Dec 30, 2006 10:15 pm

Well.....here we are a day away from 2007.

Will 2007 be any different to 2006 in terms of realizing my dreams and becoming the best person I can be? I don't know- I'm going to take it 1 day at a time, be kind to myself, (instead of beating myself up everytime I feel like I've lost the plot) and FOCUS on what I want out of life, instead of on what I don't want.

It's going to be a FABULOUS YEAR!!
:D

Hi Leigha - I liked your title Being and Becoming, so I thought I'd drop you a line. I think you've got the right idea - focus on what you DO want instead of what you don't. I'm going to write my goals down from the point of view that I've already achieved them - that's so much fun! Have a great New Year!

1ST JANUARY!!!

My wish for the year is that I'll always be able to find the hope, motivation and determination I feel today. New year is such a wonderful time in terms of 'starting over', putting all my mistakes behind me and starting fresh. What I need to do now, is to view each DAY the same way in terms of a fresh beginning, so if (and when) I fall off the wagon, I can jump right back up there and carry on without feeling like it's the end of the world.

I've done a quick Angel reading on what I need to remember this coming year and I got-

Archangel Michael is making his presence known to you.
He is the symbol of true courage, stemming from knowing that God's love is the only power there is. Michael is letting you know that as you make changes in your life and as you encounter challenges, you are safe and secure. God and the angels help you to stay true to yourself during trying times. Have heart to heart discussions with Michael often. Pour out all your concerns to him. Don't worry about overburdening him. Michael, like all the archangels are able to be with everyone simultaneously who needs him. He has no limitations of time or space, so he can help you and others concurrently.

Sounds like a great start, m'dear! Wow, when I first looked at your ticker I thought - what? She wants to weigh 75 pounds?!? But then I realized it was kilos. I'm so metrically challenged.

Seems my throat chakra is a little 'out'

The truth remains when I have communicated what there is for me in the here and now and released everything else.

Hey sweetie, what about veggies?! A lot of (good) fat and proteins but almost no veggies in your menu! Well, except the greek salad. You should have veggies in every meal! And I wonder if two yogourts a day isn't too much? I'm not sure but aren't those limited to 1 cup/glass a day?

Anyway, I'm with you. Just keep beachin' :D

Hiya Justinne-
I hear you on the yogurts- but I did check that out and the size I'm eating is tiny- so 2 a day is fine (I think Redroxco gave me some advice there)

As for veggies- you're right- I need to eat at lunch time too - breakfast time I can't stomach veg though (except for mushrooms) and I DON'T DO tomato juice.

Todays' menu-
B- yogurt
L: ham and cheese (didn't have veg :( )
S: nuts
D. grilled chicken and mixed vegetables

Will up the veg intake- thanks Justinne!

veggies...what veggies?? You notice I didn't post my menu for day three becuase I knew someone would bust me on the veggies! I can recall many unhealthy weeks going days w/o veggies in the past. Oh well that's why we are here right? To step up the healthy eating...lets both try to do better tomorrow!

Trying out my new glasses- things look rather weird through them, but that's to be expected at first, I know.
Student didn't turn up for class and now I have some time on my hands till the next class at 5-30. I think I'll do some reading....starting Harry Potter (4th book)

Hey sweetheart, how's it goin'?
Hurray for veggies! Now, that's exactly what I meant the other day :)

Oh, and I wear glasses too :D I like looking through a brand new pair, it's a great and weird feeling. It takes a moment for my eyes to get used to them :)
