Mind, body and spirit group

Hi! My name's Leigh. I restarted today (after only being on the beach a short while- Christmas kind of put me in a tailspin!! Sad ) I have 105 pounds to lose and THIS TIME I'M GOING TO DO IT!!!! I've wasted enough time and made enough excuses and it's time to get moving!! I thought it would be good to start a 'group' to motivate myself and hopefully others on our way to SUCCESS!!

This group is for people wanting not only to lose weight, but find a balance in their lives between mind, body and spirit and to develop and nurture other parts of themselves on the weight loss journey. Anyone with me?

How wonderful!

I've been working on balancing myself for the last 6 months (Reiki ll later this month) or so but my weight rocketed.....I have found it hard to do all 3 at once (mind body and spirit) but this is the time for regaining my proper weight now. It has suddenly slotted into place.

SB worked wonderfully for me in 2004 and the food is delicious. I've survived my first day again on P1 and feel calm and excited by the turn of the year!

How wonderful that you're going to be doing Reiki II!!
It's a constant battle trying to maintain that balance (which I've lost, if I ever had it!) My DAY 1 went quite well too, except for a nasty headache that was on the brink of becoming a migraine...

Have you got any labradorite? Do you work with crystals too?

Good morning

Leigha, yes I do have a large piece of gorgeous Labradorite....I am thinking of trying to make it my avatar on this board. I also have a kyanite necklace which I haven't worn for a while....very special kyanite is to me.

I am part way through a crystal practitioners course...I have found it stretched my mind (crystalography and geology) and very calming and serene. Now I am adding Reiki to the mix and it's all rather lovely. Since practising Reiki and crystals my house plants have literally blossomed from being sticks and dying!

This morning I decided to do an internet shop instead of going to the supermarket. I know what I'm like and I'd be too tempted by bad things. I've just had my omelette and am about to have my first coffee of the day....already had 2 glasses of water!

I shall work on the avatar.

Oh and I'd love an Angel card reading....I have the little Angel cards myself as well as about 50 other decks of cards. I'd be glad to recipricate.

How is it that this works?

Papabanucci have you held a crystal and felt the buzzing or energy in it?

Holding or wearing a particular crystal will make me feel a certain way....kyanite is wonderful for me and I discovered it by accident.
For others it will feel like a stone!

Labradorite is just beautiful and I now have it on my coffee table....it will
act as a focus and remind me of my goal.

If you want to get into the science of how, why or if crystals work...well I
can't explain something I'm still learning but if you experienced it for
yourself you'd get that at the very basic level the crystals have energy
and can ground, excite, calm, bring tuff up, warm, cool...etc dependant
on the crystal. Try popping a Hematite under your chair and see what
happens.

Crystals grow in specific shapes (internally) known as systems there's a
great book by a German guy who look at the science of crystal healing.

principles underpinning the fascinating art of crystal healing"

Crystals can be used in different ways-

Worn on the body, used on specific points during meditation, used to make a gem elixir, carried around with you in your pocket....I have been working with them for the past 15 years and it's a never-ending learning process!!
