Hey girl!

Well, if all my calculations are correct, we scored 102 points for the week! Good, but I know we can do better!! :-) I'm a perfectionist!

The diet looks pretty good for today! Great job! How's the foot feeling? Be sure to take it slow at first, you don't want to aggravate the tendonitis again.

So far we're one of the only groups to even post any info, so maybe we'll win by default! haha. Maybe they're just scared, because they know that we're the BEST!

No one beats the THANKSGIVING HOTTIES!!! Muahahahaha!

Have a great Monday, and keep in touch this week! :-)

Today things happened that messed up my eating, so i will just write what happened and what i ate in order (if that makes sense)-
did my walk today!!!
B: 1 flaxmeal muffin, w toast, oatmeal w/ 2 pkts splenda, milk. I think the splenda gave me a bit of a tummy ache.
during snack/ lunch time/ Dh had a 'meltdown' (he was depreesed mainly about not being able to work, ect. plus was getting cabin fever). So my lunch/ snack consisted of 1/4 c peanuts. I then got hubby out of the house by taking him with me for a few errands. Had about 2oz. beef jerky for snack while out driving. It was the best thing i thought i could find at the dollar store. I didn't think about the fact that it would have brown sugar in it (looked at the ingredients after i ate some). it was a 3.75 oz bag, but i didn't eat all of it because it was too spicy/ salty for me (gave the rest to dh). Also had 1 strawberry hard candy.
D: leftover chili, bowl of salad, water, V8.

I need to keep working on getting more veggies and water.

This weeks workout/ diet plan:
M: walk - COMPLETED!!!
T: walk/ crunches, arm weights- COMPLETED!
W:walk_ COMPLETED!
th: walk-COMPLETED!
f: walk/ crunches, arm weights-COMPLETED!!!
s: walk-COMPLETED!
sun:off
Beachy days: 7/7

Hey girl!

I like your pacman ticker, that's cute.

Well, sorry to hear that you had kind of a hectic day, but its good that you attempted to do the best you could despite the circumstances. I don't think it was that bad considering. At least you had your walk, right? Did your foot do okay?

Today was good here, I did my weights early this morning, and just finished my aerobics and stretching. It felt really good! :-)

Dinner tonight was my favorite, I wrote about it in the group boards. Yumm-o! Lunch wasn't all that great, but it was beachy! Those frozen SB dinners are okay in a pinch, but I really prefer cooking!

I am going to try my best to have another perfect beachy week so that we can get the bonus points! It still looks like half the people have lost group members and aren't posting, so I really want to do our best to keep on track! We're doing great so far! Yahoo! :-)

Have a great day, and I'll talk with you again soon!

I am so glad your foot is feeling better! Tendonitits is soooooo painful! Try to wear shoes as much as possible right now. Hopefully, IB will take care of it. Still sounds like you are doing an awesome job and not letting anything get you down. What a trooper!! Can't say I would be that motivated. Have a great night!

I'm kinda depressed today because i don't feel like i have lost anything- no inches, no weight. What's up with that?? I have been doing this for 3 weeks, and.. nothing. just my luck, i would get a body that would take to loosing weight VERY slowly.
I am happy with this lifestyle, though. I don't want to go back to what it was before- that's a BIG part of what got me here in the first place. I'm just frustrated that i seem to be the only one not loosing. I just gotta keep trying, and eventually it will happen.
I joined Spark People yesterday, and did their daily calorie count. WEll, i'm not eating too many calories. Yesterday, i had a hard time getting ENOUGH calories (but i did it). I know that not eating enough calories can actually stall weight loss, so i will have to watch that and make sure i keep getting enough.
Todays' menu:
B: 2 eggs, 1 pc w toast, 1c v8, glass water
S: 2 sticks celery w/lf pb
L:1 c iceburg lettuce w .5 oz raisins, diced celery, french dressing
S:1.4 oz beef jerky
D: leftover chili, 1 piece w bread w/ margarine
d:lf fruit flavored yogurt

Exercise:

Hi Becky!!

Well, don't give up!!!! You'll probably find you'll lose a HUGE amount all at once- everybody's body's different. Hang in there- YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE LOADS!!!!!! I reckon you should just make sure you're eating enough though, as from what I undersdtand the body stores whatever you give it if it's under what you need- and then the weight loss plateaus.

Sorry to hear about DH's problem. Sounds like he could be suffering from allergies. How does he sleep at night? Does he snore a lot? get hayfever in spring/autumn? have you got pets in the house?

AND you're into chakras!!! I studied colour therapy which is fabulous too and use that when I work with crystals. Do you do meditation at all?

Chat soon!

Got my computer fixed today. It was only the mouse that wasn't working, so we replaced it. And it only cost about 12$. too bad i can't replace my foot, and my thyroid, and too bad those things couldn't only cost 12$. By the time i get my perscription this month, i will ahve spent 150 $ on health care this month. I don't know how 'they' think that people who don't have insurance can possibly afford to pay for their own healthcare. I know i can't. I don't have insurance becuase i can't afford it. I always laugh when i see these adds for 'affordable health insurance' because i can never afford what they say is 'affordable'.
Well, my foot was really bothering me today, so i didn't go outside for my walk. i did my walk in the house. Not something i want to do very often. for dinner tonight, i made shepherds' pie, and for me i did mock mashed potatoes (cauliflower) instead of regular and i liked it.
I will post my menu for the last two days tomorrow, if I remember to.

I know what you mean about medical insurance. Back when I lived in South Africa- we had to pay for EVERYTHING ourselves- I was always in debt (I have a lot of medical problems) and just never seemed to come out at the end of the month. Shocking!!!
Thank heavens, now that I live in Spain we have a national health system-and everything is covered (except for the dentist) and you pay 40% of the value of medication. I am SO grateful as I'm always having to go for Catscans, x-rays etc, tests.....

Hey Becky!

Thanks for the advice. I really don't know how people do in home care for a living. I consider myself a patient person, and I'm actually really lucky that my MIL isn't any worse than she is, but I still feel like I have a leash on 24/7. I can't go visit my family, I have to try to set up sitters so my family can come visit me, I haven't gone out with just my husband and son in I can't remember how long, and I don't even want to think about things like Valentine's Day. I tell my dh all the time how frustrating it is, but there's really nothing else we can do right now. We already have someone else to come sit with her one day a week, it is the only person she'll allow, and it's really expensive. Even on those days, she wants me to hang out with them, so she calls me fifty times a day asking what I'm doing, and I have to keep giving her excuses. It really drives me insane! haha. She has become really dependent on me, and I hate it. Oh well, nothing I can do about it!
How's life on "the beach"? I loved what you said in our group. You have a great attitude. It will take you far. :-) Well, things are going well here, perfect week so far, I'm really getting into the workouts too. Especially since the weather here has been incredible for this time of year! :-)
Well, I'll talk with you again soon! Keep up the good work!

Yeah, rain or shine, I have to go to her apt every day. Luckily when I had the stomach flu, it happened after I had already taken her home for the day, and my husband was off the next day so he took care of her. But if he hadn't been off, or I would've been sick during our scheduled time together, I don't know what I would've done. She would've just had to sit in her apt I guess. I'm sure there's going to come a time like that someday, but as of yet, I am there every day. (except the one day her caretaker comes). Uggh.
Well, I'm off to do my stretches. It is ugly outside, so I'll probably just do my aerobics today instead of take a walk. Talk to you again soon!
