Thanks again for recommending the blinkies Lia: I learned that and how to use WinZip too! :)

I chose that blinkie because I am down 39lbs, and hopefully will be down one more shortly.

The final was for a Child and Youth studies course that finished today. My prof was on conference in Toronto and sent one of his TA's. She tells us upon arrival that the Prof has given her all the finals, but there is a slight issue. He has indicated all T/F, M.C answers (there was also an essay) with an asterisk.

So she says, well, in the past working for him, he has told me to just continue with any mistakes, so I'm going too. Then the class went nuts, we were pretty thrilled.

I still can't believe he managed to give her that copy, duh?? But I can't imagine he will just let it slide, he will probably make some sort of adjustment.

I just have my Italian course to finish now for about another month then I will just bum around for the rest of the summer.

Found ya! That story about the prof. is too funny.

So when is your summer term officially over? I bet it'll feel good to have a few extra courses under your belt. I was so ready for summer to start, but I'm already starting to feel a bit nostalgic for school. I definitely had more free time to watch tv and movies and stuff...now I'm so busy with work and chiro. appointments, gym, etc. that I don't get to do too much anymore!

Glad to see your journal up and running again. And I also love that flashing thing in your signature...you'll have to teach me how to do that!

Like your blinkie  Internet avatars, blinkies, graphics etc can be so addictive

40 lbs is a great accomplishment, you should show it off in blinking graphics!

Have a great night.<img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/im/ttfn.gif" alt="Ta Ta For Now" border="0">

Thanks for checking in!

Lia: Yes they are fun, there are so many sites out there, people are very creative! It took a while for me to realize I needed to load it into an avatar but it worked finally. And also with this site you need to make sure the avatars are 80x80 max so I edited it using Microsoft Picture Editor. Thanks again, its very refreshing :)

Jannah, thanks for lifting my journal out of the archives. Yes, Zopito is a pile of laughs. Yesterday after we presented our 'website' I took off, I was way too exhausted after my Powerpoint fiasco. Basically Tues afternoon I could not open my floppy with the final presentation on it. Stupid me doesn't pack it up to my computer as I was transporting the disc to and from Brock. So Wed at 5AM I redid the whole thing so that is why I left early. Hopefully when it is all loaded (there were various presentations for this website, we are revamping the CHYS one. We took a special ed perspective. One girls hubby was a web developer so theres looked amazing. I will definetely get into contact with him for some tips. Anyways when it is all up and running maybe you can check it out.

Plans for today:

B: 1 ww toast w/ light laughing cow, banana, coffee w/ skim milk, 1 ST

30 mins treadmill

L: Hardboiled eggs, green salad

D: Alaskan Pollack

Going to a church meeting tonight so there may be junk but I doubt it. The coordinator is a Tim Hortons junkie. This year I will be helping to run our Vacation Bible School, I have been doing so since 1999 with the exception of last summer. It is in this kitchen that I gained the majority of my weight so I definetely will stay out of there and pack a lunch. Also a bit worried about exercising as it runs from 8-1 and I would rather exercise first thing in the AM. I will figure something out.

Ok I will update later

Today is a bit tempting as my Mom is baking those little pastries that look like fruit, ie pears and bananas, then dipped in sugar. And no, company is not coming, and we do not need pastries! Sometimes this house is a revolving door of carbs and sugar!

This morning I had my progress exam for Intro Italian. It went well but I was stuck on a few things. My Dad is an immigrant and my Mom from another region of Italy so there is a lot of grammatically incorrect dialogue in this house.

I'd like to go back to bed, but I can probably do the treadmill, which I will end up doing :)

Todays Plans:

B: 2 ww toast w/ light laughing cow, Coffee w/ skim milk, 1 ST

L & D: Chicken breast, tuna or vice versa, greens

SBD Snacks and lots of water

Uh huh---- sounds good but I am supposed to be on a diet. I had enough fun when I went to a function in May-- I ate enough cookies to make up for it, lol. I prefer to eat sweet and baked goods at weddings/showers/holidays because I appreciate it more. If it is not a holiday, I shouldn't be eating them!

Thanks for checking in :)

Today went well.

Slight revision to the menu. Had ricotta on ww for lunch (bread, again!) and 2 bunless burgers with green salad for dinner. My Mom bought frozen veggies: corn, brocolli, carrots. 2 years and she still forgets I can't have carrots or corn! No biggie as I usually have other veggies.

Went to Walmart for a bit, picked up a few things, also some Fiber one. I will probably put it next to Premium Plus WW Crackers and Uncle Bens which I am too scared to eat as they bump me up on the scale. No rice for life, thats a great plan Victoria, a great plan.....

Did the treadmill as well! 30 mins @ 3.5. I suppose I could step it up, I would like to try a preset program but I was not alone in the family room today and I didn't want to chicken out, or trying running and then have to stop.

Tomorrow is another day: Going to the gym: very excited........

Hey Vic, sounds like you've been having a great weekend! Meals look awesome, almost Phase 1-friendly! I too find that the grains bump me up a bit on the scale. I'm usually extremely carefull on Phase 2 not to get careless and overdo my grain servings.

How did your church meeting go? Any temptation from the TImmie's junkie? LOL, I love Tims, but I don't miss it TOO much when I'm dieting. I usually go for the steeped tea with milk and sweetner.

Are you done your summer term anytime soon? My friend who is in the co-op program is doing a summer term right now, so she's really busy with school. Nice that you don't have a full courseload though.

I'm so glad that you're back updating here, it's nice to have someone around my own age, who I "somewhat" know. The diet support is great, you sure know how to keep me going!

Square One mall yesterday was good. I didn't see the store you told me to watch for. I didn't really do any shopping. Just got my hair done, and browsed a bit with my sister, who also got a cut and colour at a different salon. I bought a top for 5 dollars at Urban Behaviour, but when I got home it didn't fit, so I gave it to my sister, at least for now. I think if I lose maybe 10 pounds or so it'll zip up, so hopefully by the end of the summer it'll fit, cause it's really cute!

OOOhhh, I went to Starbucks too!! (THis is a biggie for a small town girl like me.) I decided I didn't want coffee, so I tried something new, that I think you would like!! They now have "Shaken Iced Teas", and I asked and sure enough they are sugar free! They come in: Green tea, black tea, and Passion which I think is like a berry flavour. Basically it's a tea syrup, mixed with water and ice to make an iced tea. So I got the black tea, and had them add sugar-free vanilla syrup. It was still slightly strong, so I also added a sweetner. So, in case you ever wanna try it out, here is what to order: Grande(or whatever size) iced sugar-free vanilla black tea. I had to memorize it so I wouldn't forget next time. Anyway, I thought you might like that since I know you've got a Starbucks on campus. It's not a frappucino, but hey, it's still a tasty summer treat!

Well enough of me rambling in your journal! HOpe you have a great week at school! Catch up more with ya later.

Jannah: so nice to hear from you! I enjoy conversing with you also, sharing the struggles of being F/T students trying to lose weight and other things we can relate to e/o about.

I didn't go to the VBS meeting. I share a car with my parents and my Dad asked me why I wasn't going and I said: because my hair is dirty OK? LOL. I was sssssssooooo tired and exhaustion hit me at once which always happens. I will go next week. I tend to get 'used' quite a bit but I do it also because I have a passion for it. The coordinator already sent us events right through to 2008 so that will keep me plenty busy! I also need to keep up community service because I need that oh so wonderful form
filled by the priest before I apply to the Catholic board. This priest is new also so I need him to get to know me.

Yes I am done my Child and Youth course. I am going to ask Zopito if I can TA for him in the Fall. I also applied for another course which is politics, culture and discourses of childhood all wrapped into one. It will be a lot but hopefully I can go to TO in the Spring again. I feel like everyone did something in Feb. but me, lol.

My Italian runs till July 7th and it is going great. Lots of hot Italians from Niagara Falls, so its great eye candy, lol. Honestly guys have never looked at me and now I get checked out. I don't think I'm hot or anything, but I definetely have a lot more confidence.

I too have only been to Starbucks a few times. When I met Anita I didn't know WTF to order, I am so clueless with Starbucks. All the flavours, hot vs cold, cup sizes, too much for me, lol. I am still learning, I just feel bad for those baristas as I could never be one :) I just printed off that Starbucks tip Jannah otherwise I wouldn't know what to order either. Sounds good. Yes we have one on campus which I go to once in a while, but it is a bit of a walk from everything.

Update from the Weekend. Saturday was good, Sunday could have been better. I keyed in over 1900 calories yesterday, that was before I ate pizza for our Sopranos viewing party. Also, my grandfather gave me a box of those Quaker Chewy Bars which I obviously can't eat, and even though they make me sick as no bars agree with me, I ate one anyways  Then I tossed the box, no more temptations.

Today is a new day :)

B: 2 ww toast w/ light laughing cow, Coffee w/ skim milk, 1 ST

Gym: Stationary bike, weight lifting, free weights, ball, stretching (Didn't make it Sunday so I went today. Aquafit tomorrow.

L: CloverLeaf tuna: Tomato & Onion, Ricotta cheese, 1 1/2 cups coleslaw dressed with O & V, Cucumber, Crystal Light

D: Turkey florentine cups, green salad (Romaine)

Lots of water

S: Either 'baby' silohuette, or 1 FF fugicle, pistachios or grapes, Caffeine Free Tea

I have to go to the doctors tonight: I should weigh in a good 15/20lbs above what I am. 1970's scales, oh the fun......

I know what you mean, Starbucks seems really tricky to me too! I usually order the same things there, and I have to memorize what I want, because otherwise I don't know what the heck I'm saying/ordering!! The iced tea is awesome though, I definitely recommend it.

Glad your week's off to a good start. Don't have much time right now but I'll check in soon. Great work so far this week!!

Have a great day :D

Yesterday I was proud of myself for keeping it Beachy! I feel right back on track. Kinda funny, my family was eating Drumsticks while I ate my FF fugicle. I still got to spend time with them though, I just consumed a few less calories, lol.

This morning I did Aquafit and now I am just relaxing until my g/f from the Falls visits. She is coming after lunch which is perfect, no temptations.

Tomorrow I will go to the gym in the afternoon as I have an appt at 9AM which I made six months ago. 9AM what was I thinking? lol.

Plans for today:

B: 1 ww toast w/ 1 tsp peanut butter, 1 medium banana, coffee w/ skim milk, 1 ST (So.... Okay.... I can't get rid of the coffee)

Aquafitness

L: Cloverleaf tuna: Tomato & Onion, Romaine lettuce, O&V, 1 cup cucumber, pistachios

D: ?? Not too sure yet, I will find something Beachy

S: Yogurt or FF fugicle; Cheese stick or grapes

Caffeine free tea

Today I wore my 'hot' jeans and I felt pretty confident. My g/f and I went for coffee--- I had a medium caramel biscotti coffee. I do like gourmet coffee flavours but I don't do it often.

Plus she brought me Crystal Singles packets! How considerate! lol I wa pretty happy. I have only seen raspberry ice, strawberry kiwi, in singles. I know lemon lime for example exists but I haven't seen them yet so I will think of her when I drink my water, lol.

Next week we are going to the Copacobana in the Falls. She told me it is not diet friendly, but as a rule I don't diet when I am with her, it pisses her off, lol. She said it is buffet style and you are served things like roast beef, chicken, filet mignon, turkey wrapped bacon, potato skins, fresh salads, roasted pineapple, etc. Apparently they slice it at the table for you, its supposed to be brazilian inspired. So that will definetely not be a beachy meal but I am drooling already :)

Dinner was sirloin tip and green salad. I had a whole romaine heart. I didn't think it was too much for me, I don't think you can have too many veggies?

Lunch was clover leaf tuna: sundried tomato and basil. Cheese stick, pistachios.

Caffeine free tea and that is it for tonight.
