I am the girl anachronism!@!

Postby Beautifully Human » Thu Mar 02, 2006 5:44 am

Hmm, so I've decided to start a journal here, just for the hell of it.

A little bit about myself(for anyone who actually reads this): I've been on SB for the second time since Jan 9...so I'm almost into a full blown p2, which I am SO happy about. I'm only 18 but I'm more mature then most people my age...in fact, I don't really like most people my age. I graduated a semester early from High School because I couldn't stand being there anymore...it just seemed pointless since none of my teachers seemed to care/were any good. Plus, I wanted to move to NY to be with my mom(my best friend EVER). So, I'm moving to Staten Island in about a week in a half. I was supposed to be moving into the city, but it didn't work out...so Staten Island will do. Just as long as I get out of Vegas...I can't stand Vegas anymore then I could high school. Hmm...I'm planning to go to college in NY to study to be a Forensic Scientist.

I was a gymnast for almost my whole life, up until about 2 years ago, so I was pretty much able to eat whatever I wanted because I worked out 5 days a week, 3 hours a day. When I quit I didn't realize I could go on eating the way I did, and gained 10-15 pounds. So that is primarily the reason I started SB. I also wanted to start early on a healthy way of eating for life. I really do enjoy eating healthy foods, so SB is perfect for me...it just sets out the guidlines. I suppose that is all for now.

My goals for March are:
-Stay on plan throughout my move to NY
-Drink more water
-Vary my meals more
-Run 2 miles without stopping

Haha, that is exactly how I felt/feel and I did the same- graduated in January instead of June!

Just wanted to congratulate you on your success so far! Good luck with your goals this month! :D

P.S. Great avatar :)

Thanks! I <3 Kurt Cobain :)

That is so cool, most people I tell that I graduated early think I'm crazy for not wanting to stay for the rest of senior year for prom and walking with your class and such....yay, someone who understands! :)

haha, the surprising thing is though, that I've never seen one episode of CSI. Kinda funny, 'cause CSI is usually what gets most people interested in that feild now-a-days, but CSI (and most shows like it) is a very blurred version of what the feild is actually like...it's very glamourized on TV (other then court TV shows).

i bet it's just tons of tiny minutia, and not these DNA-related clue revelations. but for all its ridiculous theatrics, i really like it. sometimes the plots get slightly too weird and twisted [casino mogul with a baby fetish who wears adult diapers in his secret playroom and drinks baby bottles spiked with LSD?], but it really is addictingly good.

7-11PM marathons on spike TV!

 damn...original, but very twisted. I have to admit, I do love Law&Order (especially SVU)...but all the forensic science shows on Court TV are so much cooler to me...just 'cause it's what I want to do...you know?

Hey! I just saw that you started a journal! :D that is really cool. Now I will be able to post in yours since you have posted in mine for a long time. How have ya been! I havent been on here lately because I havent felt good. I had the stomach flu and had to go to the hospital. That screwed everything up for me as far as my diet goes. oh well I guess back to P1. :( thats how it is though. Its better to keep trying than to give up right

I didnt realize u did gymnastics for that long! I did it to when I was younger and used to like to compete. Well I wont say liked because ive never been good with being in front of people lol but I did it. What were you best at? I think I did pretty well at the bars. Got third place once when I was little and felt like I was at the top of the world standing up on that thing. 8) I didnt do well at the beam though. My balance has never been very good!!! out of curiosity why did you quit? This is so funny..more so than anything else I quit because I thought the gymnastics outfit was uncomfortable and it distracted me when I was competing. would be fun to try again though just as exercise. I bet u got really really good. I always love to watch gymnastics in the Olympics as well as the skating. always feel so bad when I see them fall though!

back to the diet though haha. what has been your favorite food that you have done on this diet? What has been the very least favorite thing uve tired? I remember u are not a fan of the Ricotta deserts like me lol. My fav thing was the chicken onion apple pitas. those were really good. and of course the least favorite was anything made with that cheese. I felt very big and guilty after I ate one spoonful of it  . I am kinda hard on myself but I just like to think of it as disciplined.

going to watch american idol now to see who gets eliminated. do ya watch it? i forgot what u said if I asked u that sorry. Im still for tayler hicks, ayla, bucky, and Chris dautry on there.

talk to u later! thanks again for always giving me advice on anything I needed help on. ur an awsome person. **Jenny**

misskt- That is so awesome! The responce I get from everyone(no joke) except my mom when I tell them I want to be a forensic scientist is "Wow, you really think you could handle all that" and they just give me this look...I'm just curious, why did you decide not to get your degree in it?

Jenny- I just commented on your journal too! I've been pretty good...It's been a stressful past couple of weeks...but still been good lol. It's good that you're feeling better though.

Yeah, I started gymnastics when I was 2 or 3 and then quit when I was 15 or 16...can't really remember. I surprisingly really wasn't that good. I competed, but not in a high level. Gymnastics comes easily to a lot of people, but it didn't too me, so I had to work harder at it...but I always loved it (and still do) so much so I just kept working at it. I was probably best at floor and vault. I haaaaaaaaaaated beam...but then again I don't know anyone who didn't. That's so funny that you quit because of the gym suits...I got used to them since I was in them so often. But I quit because I had just been doing it for so long, and I wasn't really advancing anymore...it was also a ton of money. I just stopped going as often and then decided that I would quit and just tumble from then on. So I did that 2x a week for a while until my gym closed. Havn't really done any since then :( I would love to though...I miss it so much.

hmm...my favorite foods on SB? So many of them are good...the Meatza was really good, and the home made chili....yummm, I just tried the mock corn bread today..which was very tastey. OH, but the mozzerella stuffed pesto pork burger was probably the best. There wasn't really a lot I didn't like...except for the ricotta desserts, and I didn't really care for the flax muffins. Other then that there wasn't really anything else I can think of off hand.

BTW, you're welcome for the advice/support...I'm happy to give it! :D

Yup, everyone said the same thing to me...did I care? Nope! There are much better things to experience in life!

I checked out your myspace page, hope you don't mind :) We have lots in common, girly. The best part is, I found a fellow Emery fan! They are one of my favorites! ! I can listen to their albums all day and never get tired of them. The Used and Slipknot are up there too among others. Do you like Dead Poetic or Thursday? If you dig the screaming, I would recommend ZAO, another favorite ;)

Anyway, I think I've rambled enough...Have a great night! :D

Of course I don't mind :) I love Emery...I saw them live a few years ago and fell in love. I don't have any of their albums though :( ...I used to have one but my car got stolen last year and they took every last one of my C.D.'s :x But, luckily I d/l all the songs to my ipod. I'm not a huge fan of some the new The Used stuff, but I absolutely love their old stuff...I've seen them live something like 5 times...Bert McCracken is an amazing performer. Oh man, and once they did a cover of Rape Me...it was awesome. I've seen Slipknot live too...once again awesome performers. I've never listened to Dead Poetic or ZAO, a little of Thursday though...I'll have to check them out once my computer gets back up and running. :D

I agree about The Used, I bought their newer cd and tried to like them, but it wasn't working. I have seen Slipknot, they played with Mudvayne back in 2000, it was probably the best show I have ever been to. ZAO are also great performers- but have caution when listening to them, they're an acquired taste :) Let me know what ya think!
