Today is a new day! Carpe diem!

When you said the tea helped your headache, it made me think of my BF. He gets MEAN headaches when he doesn't get any caffeine. He's tried cutting out coffee so now he drinks a lot of tea and diet mountain dew. I don't know what your caffeine habits are like, but perhaps some caffeine would help your headaches??

I'm sending good vibes your way RIGHT now.

Banana-
Good vibes AND page 2? You rock!
I have cut my caffeine WAY back since the first of the year. My coffee is half-caff now. I tried taking the Aspirin w/ Caffeine when I felt the first signs last night. That always works for me. Not this time! In fact, I was buzzing so hard I had to take extra of the sleep-inducing pain pills I took later!
I used to get them so often that the doc put me on amytriptaline for a few years. When they stopped, I stopped taking it. Haven't had one in over a year. Hope they're not returning! Maybe it's all this time I'm spending chatting here?
I'm going to try to eat closer to P1 for the next day or so and see what happens...

Thanks Diva! Unfortunately, the TOM is over and my weight usually DROPS about 3 pounds when it's done. Oh well. Life is full of ups and downs! Good luck in the Challenge!
I get a really great ( ) warning sign before my migraines. My teeth get so sensitive that I can't bear for them to touch. I end up biting my tongue a lot! Needless to say, this makes eating a very unpleasant experience. The egg drop soup was comforting though!
Maybe I should open a cooking school? My friend I was visiting yesterday LOVES my cooking. Her hubby is working away for about 10 more months, so her kids aren't "enjoying" her cooking. I suck at housework, she is a major clean-freak. We decided yesterday that I should cook for her while she cleans my house. My hubby thought that was a great idea. He's seen her house...

cooking classes would be a great idea
i know i am horribly challenged in the kitchen
and have looked everywhere in our city and
the only types of classes i can find are through
the food banks to teach people to cook casseroles
and stuff so their kids actually eat.....hard to explain

but lessons for someone who wants to learn to be
more creative and use seasonings and different
methods etc is very hard to find!

the idea of trading with someone that likes to clean
is a good idea too!

Yeah, we thought it was a great idea. Too bad we won't actually do it! I'm sure my DH would love to have her come over!!! I know her hubby loves my cooking. But with him gone... Sounded like a real plan though, didn't it?! Oh well, we'll just have her over to learn a few things- like cream of broccoli soup and my chicken w/ red wine and shrooms (which is posted in the recipe threads as the best chicken recipe ever).
I did try to sell my Christmas Goodies (there I go again with the goodies! ) over the holidays, but had no takers. There's a real blow to the old ego! Those I gave tins to sure did love 'em. Maybe they'll spread the word!

Maybe I should mention my favorite Paula Deen quote is:
"If you leave hungry, it ain't my fault!"
My favorite saying of my own is:
"I'm fat for a reason!"

I just stumbled onto your journal. We have things in common: PCOS, high school pregnancies, and migraines. I actually dropped in to ask you about your migraines. I have never been properly dx with them, but I am certain that I have migraines. My dh has hemiplegic migraines that causes paralysis down one side of his body. He takes meds for it and does pretty well. My migraines are much different and seem to be cluster migraines. I was wondering: do you have post-nasal drip with yours? Do you ever experience one that lasts for more than two days?

Mine seem to be associated with changes in my menstrual cycle: menstruation or ovulation. I also get sick to my stomach with mine, same teeth sensitvity that you have, and just an overall sense of unwellness. (Is that a word?) Anyway, sorry to bug you with these questions, but dh doesn't experience any of the things that I do and just wondered if it might be different for a fellow PCOSer.

It has been so long since I had one, this is almost like a new experience for me! I've never had the paralysis. I almost always have extreme sensitivity to light and sound. The teeth hurting has been somewhat new, and I might add VERY ANNOYING (as you well know). I was diagnosed w/ the PCOS only 3 or 4 years ago and had the migraines for quite awhile before that, so I don't think they are connected. I'm beginning to think these may be glasses related. I have a docs appt Monday AM, but really think I should see the eye doc instead.
I've never had post-nasal drip with one. I doubt I have had one for more than one day. Then again, it could've been so bad I blocked it from memory! I do feel like I'll chuck, and have in the past. Mostly, I feel like jumping off a bridge when I get them. My MIL gets them so often, my DH and I wonder sometimes if she has a tumor. Hers knock her out for the day.
I think for the most part mine are just random.I can't come up with any common denominator (other than my glasses). I had my eyes checked a couple months ago and he said they had changed A LITTLE, but not enough to justify getting new lenses. If the meds don't work by Monday, I'll probably go back in.
Good luck with your PCOS and migraines. Us screwed-up girls have to stick together!
