GET OUT OF TOWN...I JUST ACCEPTED A JOB IN LA AT NORTHROP GRUMMAN!!!!!! thats pretty awesome!!! im starting in july...i cant freakin wait!

thanks for your help getting to page 3...im almost there, i can feel it. i think i feel cooler if i have more pages...more responses from people or something? i dunno...im crazy maybe. im obsessed with this journal actually. its my best friend right now.

misskt...that is a GREAT idea for watching people eat yummy treats...especially donuts. those i can pass up. cheesecake will be harder...and i get to pick the flavors. maybe ill pick ones that i know i wont really like.

yeah i totally cant wait till P2, although i dont really understand how to do it, so thats an issue. i feel weird about just plain ADDING stuff in, because thats just ADDING calories, and thats counterintuitive to the whole theme of weightloss. but i dont really eat enough as it is to substitute anything. how do you all do it???? i think this is where i got screwed up my first time on SB. oh well.

so anyways i went to the gym today. good for me. but i went RIGHT after lunch, and eventhough i didnt eat a lot, i got queezy on the treadmill. doh. im not really a gym kinda girl i dont think. i felt like such an idiot lifting weights and i get really bored and therefore dont really stick to it. and i cant figure out how to adjust some of the machines for my height...haha. i do well with workout videos, and maybe i can do lunges and squats and stuff with handweights...that wouldnt be so bad.

edited: I MADE PAGE 3 WITH THIS ONE...YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!

is it bad that i said i had a headache so that i didnt have to go out to the bars tonight? i could very well have a headache...i have them all the time. not now though...i just really dont feel like going to the bars. im not a bar kinda girl. is that bad?? i would much rather curl up with a good book!!! i guess that would be much more acceptable if i had a boyfriend. im not anti-social, i just dont really drink, and i dont like going to bars... im kinda quiet and shy, so its hard to try and out-shout everyone else there. ugh...cant college students find something else fun to do?? seriously...

funky california weather!!!

i was going to go on a run/hike on my favorite path on campus (the loop is about 6 miles). lots of uphills and beautiful views, but i got outside and it was a little raining, and looking like it was gonna do some more raining, so i just decided to go for a jog around the neighborhood so i wouldnt get stuck in the rain...well then the sun came out...of course...and after my jog (2-3 miles) i was a little too tired for the 6 mile hike. oh well. ill try another day!

my tummy feels a little funny right now...im not sure why...oh wait yes i am sure why...i had coffee this morning. i swear i shouldnt drink coffee...but i have some and i like it, so i drink it...eh...oh well!

here's my menu plan for today...ill update later:

bfast: egg beaters w/ tomatoes, roasted peppers, onions, and fresh spinach, coffee
snack: nada...oops
lunch: turkey rolls w/ spinach and tomato, cheesestick
snack: sf ff vanilla latte
snack: adding afternoon snack cause i missed morning snack...ricotta creme
dinner: chili and mock cornbread and green beans
dessert: something with peanut butter...or a fudgesicle

nope...not sick of the chili yet...amazing, but true. i actually really like it!! i was debating making something else this weekend, but i dont know what to make. chili is so great because it makes so much and i dont need to make sides or anything.

oops i forgot to mention this before, and its gonna be too much info for most people, but i need to keep track...i started my period on wednesday-ish, two weeks early. im on the pill (to control crazy cycles), so that never happens. but i remember this happened the last time i started SB also, and it sometimes comes early after ive come back from colorado...weird, huh? just gotta keep track...sorry again!

Thought I'd check in and say hi. It is not at all bad you said you had a headache and didn't go to the bars. You did what made you happy-good job. I have been known to fall asleep on a barstool @ 9pm so I am nobody's social advisor but still.....

Don't you just love Trader Joe's. Tried to go this afternoon but it was so crowded that I couldn't even park. Will try again tonight-how is that for a rockin saturday night?

Yay for page 3 . I am like you-I like getting those p.m's and responses. I guess I am a SB geek. I am happy and you seem like you are too.
Congrats on your success so far.

Gosh psg, you sound just like me. I'd much rather watch a movie and hangout with my family then go get blazed with people. I think we're just mature...at least thats how i see it! I rarely find people my age who don't get drunk frequently...i feel like such an old body, and maybe i am, but i'm okay with that and you should be too!

also in terms of the whole "adding stuff back in"...think of it this way...in p1 you ate say eggs...and in p2 you'd maybe have oatmeal instead of eggs. Or instead of having nuts for a snack you could have an apple...stuff like that! You just sorta substitute, it gives you more variety. Does that make it anymore clear?

OK so here's the deal...you weigh yourself at the end of p1, then not again until you're ready...just as kinda a starting point! I know phd2b would agree with me here! We should DEFINITELY get together for movie nights while our friends are getting wasted! Idiots...i'm not getting a DUI or PI anytime soon. So you're in Colorado right now?? I'm jealous. I have been there once i loved it so much. I went on a road trip with my friend my freshman year a couple of weeks before christmas vacation! It was a blast and SOOO beautiful. I have never been to Cali, but i'd like to go. My dad just got home (and no offense to anyone here) but he said there were just a bunch of crazies running around! I still think it would be fun. Where is you're new job? My uncle lives out there between LA and vegas in the mountains somewhere. Someday i will go! You're eating day looks a lot like mine. I have no idea what i'm eating, and i'm not really hungry. I have to make something with spinach before it goes bad, if i come across anything good i'll let you know! Have a great rest of the weekend! :D

lorka - ill come to canada and pick you up and we can go to colorado after that and meet misskt...sound like a plan???

i LOVE spinach...its so yummy. sometimes i just cook it in a pan and eat it just plain...mmm. im kinda hungry but i dont really feel like eating anything. im so tired right now! i woke up this morning and bought bagels and donuts for the buildings i live in (wasnt tempted to eat any AT ALL...yay) now i just wanna sleep for the rest of the afternoon. instead im gonna get my butt up and do some tae bo.

so i woke up this morning feeling kinda good, but now my belly is sticking out and i feel bloated and ick. maybe i ate too much cheese or something. sometimes i feel like im just going backwards. im so afraid that i havent lost any weight yet eventhough ive tried so hard!!!! ugh. oh well im sticking with it!!!!!!

just because you're bloated doesn't mean anything. what did you eat today? maybe you just had a lot of water-y produce.
