Treadmill

Postby hajensen » Fri May 14, 2004 6:38 pm

I asked my hubby to get a treadmill once we move into our home in June but he refuses... we belong to the YMCA in our area, but it is difficult to go EVERY DAY and I wanted something at home to do on the days I do not take a class or something.... I think I am going to tRY To get up at 5:00 and walk for 45 minutes... TRY... at least that is something. I like popping CJ into the stroller and elaking but he doesn't... so I will try to figure something out... I greatly appreciate the suggestions. I was also thinking of maybe watching FIT TV and doing something then, but agian, I will not be able to do it until we move and I have my own livingroom!!! :x

I do aerobics 4x a week, and have recently bought a weight trainer machine, (it was my Mothers day gift), so use the machine every other day. I am starting to use the gym for lower body machine work, once a week. I have 6 kids, but have decided to take time out for myself. I have been on SB for 3 1/2 months and have lost over 30 lbs, and counting. Exercise is a must!! Good luck, everyone. :D

I totally recommend getting some kind of home equipment too! if I have to go to the gym, I'll think of some kind of excuse not to go, but with my eliptical trainer sitting right here staring at me, it's much harder to put it off! anyway, I try to do that 5 times a week, and lift a few weights 3x... of course it doesn't always happen  but it's still lots more than I used to do!!!

haypor: YES That absolutely DOES count...i work up a sweat daily just getting my one little guy going!

hajensen:Your baby is adorable...you know whats harder than having a child?...going to WORk and having a child!!! I have been a stay at home mom since my son was born..and cant imagine how much more hectic my day would be if i went to work . Not that we stay at home moms have all leisure time...after all we are caring for our child/ren..BUT we DO have options. Options to stroll w/them, or take them to a fitness center and leave them in daycare. But working moms have like 2 hrs to spend quality time w/their kids and prob arent going to choose to go to an excersice class!

the only solution i can think of is to go for a walk, by yourself after your baby goes down, or with your baby now that the weather is nice... either in the morning b4 your baby wakes (ouch) or after he goes to bed at night.
Good Luck.
being a mom is the most important thing! we know that
