You all are amazing!! You look great in these photos, and even better in person! Thanks for inspiring me to start SB. I have never known anyone who's diet program had worked and the weight had stayed off, until I heard of you all doing SB. This diet truly does work as a healthy new way of eating! You both are proof! Hopefully by the next reunion, you will be thinking the same of me! :) Can't wait for that "WOW" factor. Take care
Sandy

I just wanted to bump this again.

You are both a true inspiration. I was feeling pretty down this morning being in a stall and I came to your pictures knowing that it IS possible and it's very refreshing to my mind knowing that I WILL get there.
I know that you are both an inspiration to others so for those who haven't had the chance to see your before and after, I bumped this so they can be truely inspired as well.

Thank you for your post!

Your inspiration

Postby idigbooks » Wed Oct 05, 2005 6:14 pm

Such an inspiration!!! So after the family reunion, my Mom got me the book. It has taken me several months to get started, since I am trying to do the cooking and keep up with two jobs and Singin' Sam, but I started yesterday. My sister has lost 51lbs in three months and my sister in law has lost 49lbs. I have some catching up to do.

Maybe by the next family reunion, I'll be down to pre-Dianna size, and you'll have to do a double take to recognize me as well.

We finally got a family photo taken "post" the weight-loss. Philip was a little disappointed they stuck him BEHIND everyone so that you couldn't see his body, but I think it's a good picture anyway.

Absolutely wonderful picture. I got an attachment from your dad as well. Five years since BR came into the world, and it doesn't seem like that long ago that I was buying a baby gift from M&D for her. Sigh....I'm getting old.

It's an awesome picture! You guys all look so happy and healthy! I'll have to suggest doing something like this at our one-year mark! (only... 9.5 months to go!)

Your pictures are so inspirational! Your before reminds me so much of the "deciding factor" pictures I got back from our trip to Hawaii in April. I saw myself and said "OMG, gotta do something!"

I'm wondering, with that much weight loss in one year... how are you feeling about your skin? You look so lean and firm. Did you implement a particular exercise/toning program? Going from a 16-18 to a 2-4 in a year, did you feel baggy or did your skin compensate well?

Thank you so much for sharing!

sa7r6a wrote:6 months after starting this diet, we have lost beyond our dream weights! My husband recently (after 7 months) lost his 100 lb goal mark. He's down from a size 44-inch waist to a size 30-inch. (I'm down from a size 16-18 to a size 2-4.)
Now that we're down, we're maintaining our goal weights-- this picture is from February. Now May, we've each lost 5-10 pounds more than what is shown from this after picture.
This diet literally added years to our lives, and improved the quality of life for us and for our children.

I have seen many before and after photos here... but I must say, I was completely blown away by yours and your husbands. WOW!

My deepest congratulations to both of you. You look great, I'm sure you feel great and your children will benefit so much from your hard work to reach this goal and by the healthier lifestyle you've begun. Good for you! :D
