We had this last night. I made it with Crystal Light Tangerine Strawberry, and it was soooo good! It tasted like a real cheat. My only issue was that I made it in abowl and I had to chisel it out, next time I will either make individual servings or use the oblong pan to make it. I think I will try Raspberry Lemonade next time.

I know about the serving size, what I made will last the 2 of us all week. The old me could have finished the whole bowl though!

The Crystal Light Dessert

Postby laurahcory » Tue Jun 07, 2005 4:47 pm

This is maybe a dumb question since I don't drink Crystal Light, but what size is a "tub"? How many ounces?

Thanks!

best,
Laura

I do believe a tub is an indiviual dry powder packet. You buy it in power form to make it with added water.

Thanks for the great recipe! I'll try it this weekend!

Great minds think alike -- I saw PhDs2B posted this recipe last week and made the CL Rasp Lemonade this past weekend-- it was soooooo great. I only used 1/2 of the coolwhip and it was still very creamy and very good.

I also poured the mixture into smaller bowls to ease the blender/CW step.
I must admit that I did not allow the first batch to freeze the first time I tried it and it was so good-- like a milkshake consistancy. I actually prefer that consistancy rather than the harden version.

I am going to try it in my Cuisaniart Frozen Yogurt/Ice cream/sorbet maker to avoid the "mix, refreeze, add CW and refreeze" steps. Will report back!!

I made this a couple of nights ago, and it tasted really gross, kind of bitter like.
