I'm on my way to TJ's soon...for walnuts, Tofutti frozen fudge pops, frozen raspberries and blackberries. They have great hummus and some fat free cheeses in the dairy case. I love their jarred bruschetta sauce for making Pizza Beans. I also buy quinoa and wild rice there. Their salsa is good, as is their peanut butter...the list goes on and on.
Have fun,

The TJ's brand of whole wheat pasta is totally consistent with the diet, yummy, and cheap, too!

FAGE greek yogurt -- plain

Thanks for the tip about TJ's whole wheat pasta. We have just started eating WW and boy is it expensive at the grocery store.

I love their frozen berries -- blueberry/plain yogurt smoothie sweetened a little splenda is really good.

I also like their basil marinara sauce, and I usually shun all jarred tomato sauces.

Some of their breads are incredibly high in fiber, another good choice. They taste better toasted--open face low-fat ham, mustard topped with alpine lace swiss or LF feta crumbled on top.

Tj's

Postby Spicey477 » Tue Nov 30, 2004 9:18 pm

I have seen no mention of the simmer sauces in your shopping lists. I just went to TJ's and stocked up on the Pepita, Cajun and Thai sauces. They all seem to be very low in calories, fat and carbs and seem to be a good alternative to marinades. Are they worse than I think they are?

I always get their natural peanut butter, bags of frozen pepper strips, salsas, bruschetta (sp?), nuts, frozen stir frys.

LOVE TJ's!!
Their hummus is THE best around - and a good price too.
Also, every time I'm there, I stock up on their FROZEN Chicken Fajitas. Yum!

Love the itemized list, Jin-- Yum! Being a former tortilla chip freak, the soy and flaxseed tortilla chips caught my eye. Are they SBD legal?? And what are parmesan crisps?
