Breakfast food ideas

Postby chelsiiiiiii » Sat Jun 23, 2012 8:37 pm

Hi everyone! So I'm going to be starting phase 1 this week, but I'm having a hard time finding ideas for breakfast. I'm allergic to eggs, so that limits me a lot as I'm used to eating oatmeal and fruit. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

There are a lot of things you can eat for breakfast if you don't limit yourself to traditional breakfast foods. You need a serving of protein and 1/2 cup of veggies. That can be some deli meat and cheese rollups and a handful of grape tomatoes, leftover dinner from the night before, a plate of seasoned black beans with melted lowfat cheese, pretty much anything that is on the approved foods list.

Another good protein option for breakfast is cottage cheese.

one thing one of my friends (also on the diet) eats for breakfast is a mixed bean salad with a small amount of either cottage cheese or a low fat meat substitute and some green veg
