I'm not really sure how the ounces of vegetables translate into our volumes of cups, so I can't tell if you're eating a good amount of vegetables. But I do have some comments that might help:

Yams are a p2 starch, not a p1 vegetable.

You seem to be eating 4 full meals and 2 snacks. That's one too many meals-- take 1 meal and make it smaller to be a snack-- you should have 3 meals and 2-3 snacks.

When you say "beans," what kinds of beans are those? Beans/legumes like black beans, garbanzo beans, etc. have limits.

When you say "vegetables," I don't know what those are-- check that those are p1 veg and that you're not accidentally including another p2 food like the yams.
My FAQ-- food lists, portion guidelines, etc.

I would be grumpy too. Like Kimboroni pointed out....you shouldnt be eating yams yet. They are too starchy...esspecially along with the starchy beans. You are allowed to have beans...but I think you are over doing it.

I also am thinking you probably should include a couple snacks instead of actual meals. Maybe you meal plan could be modified to look something like this:

breakfast- 6 oz v-8
1 whole egg with 2 egg WHITES omlette, a bit of lowfat mozz and add some veggies to your omlette like onion, pepper, spinach and tomato

midday snack- about 15 almonds or pistachios and plain greek yogurt sweetened with splenda with some almond extract

Lunch- big salad made with spinach and field greens- add soem cucumber, celery, onion, pepper, any other veg you like and some garbanzos or black beans with a couple tablespoons of dressing. Or instead of beans a nice grilled chicken breast or a peice of grilled fish or canned tuna.

Dinner- Nice big plate of roasted veggies, I like to chop up the following and throw in a bowl. Spray with olive oil lightly, toss with s&p or whatever seasoning you like and spread on a cookie sheet , roast for 10 min at 425. Artichokes, shrooms, re pepper, onion, fennell, asparagus.
Have a peice of salmon or lean meat with that anad you good to go. You can blacken you protien too to add extra flavor. If I am extra hungry, I will have a green salad with it too.

night-time snack- jello cup or sugar free hot cocoa, sugar free pudding`, handful of nuts, plain yogurt splenda sweetened. you can have any of these things.

Dont give up. The yam you have been eating isnt helping because it isnt letting you get rid of your sugar and carb cravings. Just try to be creative with your menu. The biggest key is planning out what you will have before each day begins. Have stuff to snack on. For instance...I love sweets and crunchy things. So I make my own " nadied pecans" I use spenda and unsweetened cocoa powder with spray oil. Roast for about 10 min at 400.

Good luck!!!! It really does get easier. Its like habit for me now.
