OMGosh, I love, love, love Big Bang Theory... inspite of not really wanting to. It's like not being able to look away from a car accident. Yay for Blossom! Could only be better if they brought on Darla from Rosanne in some capacity, don't ya think?

Big bang theory....a show i knew nothing of a year ago and some random lady told me i should watch it when i overheard some of the plot. One show later, i couldnt help but keep watching it. This coming from a guy who bought cable tv then didnt watch a show or even the news for 8 months! One of the drawbacks of being a computer geek i suppose! The scale being up a lot the next day is perfectly normal. Stick to your plan and it should wither away the next few days since your stomach will return to having the same amount and type of food. If it makes you feel any better i think it was last sunday went to outback, blooming onion, steak, baked potatoe and some sort of soup. Next morning i rolled to the scale and boooooom 4 pounds heavier!

Dene! I hope your birthday was awesome! If you had a journal I would have posted some nice birthday graphic for you!!

Jeffster - while I wouldn't wish four pounds on anyone - (well.... ALMOST anyone!! ha ha) I am glad that this strange phenomena isn't unique to just me! It seems like other people can slip and gain just a little! So how have you been, Jeff? Did you enjoy your Outback??

My trainer was brutal last night. I told him I was going to gripe about him in my journal, too. lol He just about killed me! We've been doing circuit training - total body. Last night there was a lot of emphasis on ABs, though.

Diet has been good - I am back down - but still up a pound and a half from my lowest a week ago.

Last night I made chicken fajitas - OMG they were sooooo good! I broke down and bought tortillas for the boys - but I ate mine wrapped in lettuce leaves. MMMMMMMM!

I don't just celebrate my birthDAY, I celebrate for a week! Ha. Unfortunately, my way of celebrating is with food. Last of the get-togethers is this Saturday with the whole family....and then....May 1, I am going clean. Planning a vaca to Disney World in Sept., so I have a goal to work toward. (Yes, I know you don't just work to a goal and quit, but this is how I'm going to motivate myself for now.)

Debating whether to start back to the gym. Since we went co-ed I've been reluctant to go, but my membership is up May 31, so I have to decide. Otherwise, my exercise is walking with DH, which is good, but I get my heart up more on the elliptical at the gym. Decisions, decisions. With my old joints, I won't ever be a runner, but I remember that my joints didn't hurt as much when I had the weight off before, so that's something to look forward to. When I did try to run before, I ended up with plantar fasciitis, so that was not a good thing.

Mmmm... I love fajitas! My parents came to visit for my birthday and took us all out to dinner. They let me pick wherever I wanted to go, except for Mexican or Chinese, since those are too spicy  . They are both 100% meat and potatoes people, and I would have killed for some b-day fajitas. Since they have since went home, tonight it tacos! I am going to have a ginormous taco salad!
Eating beachy since February 2010.

Hi Kyan! Good for you using lettuce! When I make tacos for the family, I just make a big salad and dump the beef on top and skip the wraps and chips all together. Seems to work for me most of the time.

Hi my sandy peeps!! (Sandy - South Beach....you get it!) I never promised you GOOD humor!

Hey Beaching and Smay - I never hardly eat Taco salads unless they come from Chipotle, I don't know why! They are easy enough to make! I'm just not a huge salad lover, so I guess that's why I don't.

Speaking of Fajitas... that is tonight's dinner! Daughter and son-in-law driving down and we are going to have dinner together. I also have four bunches of asparagus that I am going to roast and I'm also going to saute shredded carrots - maybe with some red onion. I can't wait!!

I am 16 ounces away from my next goal... and I just can't reach it! I shake up my exercising... I even tried intermittent fasting... cut way down on fruit... I don't eat chocolate squares any more... OR any other dessert period! I think my body is hog happy (get it?) at this stupid weight!! It's so darn frustrating! Even a morning constitution won't get me down that pound!

My daughter says forget the scale and just be happy with how good I feel... but the scale is my BIG TIME motivator!!

Oh and Bethy - I stomped on all of those almonds that were after you!! Just don't let Mike lick them up from the floor now.....

Good humor bars are difficult to resist on occasions, no icecream trucks in my neighborhood yet, but i think im lucky in the fact that when icecream trucks are normally around im in the gym sweating my butt off. It makes it a bit easier to not worry about. when i was younger i saw a kid so excited to get icecream he was running towards the stopped truck and looked back waving to his mom and dad and he full on charged right into the closed side door of the icecream truck and knocked himself on his butt. His parents were laughing while trying to see if he was okay, which made him laugh. I kinda miss those days, now if it happened the mom would try to put a lawsuit against the icecream truck for their not to be child padding on the outside or something.

I make a really really really good taco salad, but unfortunately its not beachy so i havent had it in a long time. Requires a special dressing to sprinkle in, and use doritoes for the taco shells.

Being happy with how you feel should definetly inpsire you to do well, Honestly as silly as it sounds, do you drink your daily amount of water? Something so simple keeps your body running well. Also what helps me is drinking hot green tea with a packet or two of splenda twice a day. The salada spicy chai has both cinnamon and grean tea extract in it and keeps your metabolism humming.
