If you take your lasix and do nothing but suck lemons you can beat me by 6:26 saturday evening. APIndy and Union Rags got slots 3 and 4. Then Dullehan, then Bodemeister at 6. Gemologist way outside. (not excited, mere academic interest)
I couldn't not peek, because of your downteek. I'm ticky too! Not as much as you (221) but I'll take it. Thursdays would make Much better weigh-in days than my woeful wednesdays.

No no no!! You both have it ALL wrong! MONDAYS are the best weigh-in day. That way if the number sucks it doesn't ruin your day because Mondays are awful anyway!! And if the number is GOOD - well it brightens up your day and also starts a good roll for the week! :D

See? You folks say I weigh too often (every morning) but at least it aviods this problem of knowing which day to weigh! Now, when I have a sucky day, I can just say Maybe It Will Be Better Tomorrow. You weekly weighers have to go an entire WEEK to find out if you fixed it.

Of course, I really don't believe any of you. Hiding the scales under the bed, pshaw! I call shenanigans. Kyan probably sneaks weigh ins like I sneak malted milk eggs.

What are you talking about, Willis? I weigh myself AT LEAST 8 times a day if not more. I step on the scale nekked first thing in the morning - see what it says - get off and get on again about 4 times. I take the number it shows the most! lol

Then at night I do the same thing. About 4 times. Then I might weigh myself if I don't want to go to the gym. If the number is good I am inspired... and the the number is high I realize that I NEED to go! :D I'm going to wear out the batteries in the darn thing!!

Who in the world could possibly hold out and weigh once a week? <snort>

Bathroom scales CAUSED obesity. Just like watches caused the work ethic, TV caused ADD, health insurance caused Alzheimers, STTS causes psychosis, and moisturizer causes dry skin.

I can guarantee that i only step on the scale once a week, and generally can tell if my eating and workouts have been going well just by how i feel. I dont even own a scale because i consider them evil and an obession. I believe that weighing myself monday at the gym actually HELPS by keeping me accountable over the weekend and thinking to myself "Yeah i COULD eat that, and im sure it wont hurt me, but the scale will prove me wrong come monday" Oh how true that is. Dont get too frustrated mike it will be okay! Just because theres a bump in the road doesnt mean you have to stop driving on it! Or in our case walking on the beach. Sure its a dangerous journey filled with the occasional spike filled death trap here and there but overall its not bad...ish...kinda.. :D

Obession! Don't use spell-check, that's the best word Ever. I'm utterly obessed. Jeff, you are a genus.

Bethy is absolutely right -- Jeff IS a "genus." And smart too.

Okay, so Jeff you poked holes in my logical reasons to weigh every day. I'll fall back on my blatant OCD issues to explain why I do it. If I do not wiegh but once a week, I KNOW ME, I'll do what I want early in the week and "cram for the exam" by extreme non-eating the few days before weigh in. And when that becomes a pain in the ass, I'll just stop weighing so I can eat all the time. :-)

No, this approach works for me. I may fuss and fume here about it, but I know there are daily variations and am less concerned about them than my rants suggest. But I DO wish I was not sitting at the same weight as when I began P2!!!!!

Its all about what works for YOU, and if you know that you will do what you want early in the week because of that approach then by all means stick with your current one. Each person is different, I just generally advocate the once a week approach because a lot of people tend to see a higher number then they want, then do poorly food wise because it depresses them. As long as you're doing what works for you then keep with it and stay dedicated. If it makes you feel any better i went on a week cruise recently and erased like 2 months of hard work in a week. That took some willpower to actually not get in a slump and bounce back!

The last cruise I was on was 5 meals a day of decidedly non-SBD food, plus constant and large amounts of alcohol. I put on 2 pounds a day. That was a decade ago, and I am sure with my metabolism slowed by my advanced age it would only be worse if I did it again. Of course, this is offset by the fact that elderly folks eat the early dinner and are in bed by 7 PM, so I'd miss two meals, right?
