Love me some GA! I heart Christina. And I'm glad you mentioned the cauliflower! I forgot I had some in the freezer, I must steam and smash pronto! Much better than the blechy broccoli casserole I forced myself to eat tonight!

Oh, good, Jess! We can take turns holding Christina's hand under the door. I've gone back to roasting all of my vegetables to warm up the kitchen. Spring appears to have been cancelled here in Pennsylvania. Is 70 degrees too much to ask for in late April, or what?

week 7
Kind of overdid be nice to bethy day. Woke up this morning still stuffed from the Anatomy feast.

late breakfast-the last of the half chicken breasts, 2T baba, one slice of spinach bake. tsp toum.
L-two slices of the spinach thing.
s-four swallows of milk
S-a cup of chicken chili with beans and 2Tb fage, 2 glasses of wine,
d-1 rectangle of chocolate (i should weigh them, I think they're like .6 ounce)
not enough veggies today, too much cheese in the spinach thing

goals
If I want to have another nice week of little to no grocery shopping like I had this week, it's time to gear up for my next major expedition. The all-day shop-fest really was worth the time and effort. Any day I don't have to see a supermarket is a good one :D I'll start working on my list right now in a minute and try to go shopping tomorrow (although, saturday, ew). Maybe I'll turn into a genuine once-a-week grocery shopper one day. I'd like for my day to be Thursday, please. That's when Mother did it :D . Update: have not started on the list but still have time. update update: have list. Plan is to have 2 batch-worths of everything canned or frozen and replenish when I've used 1 of them. Maybe 3.

week 7
b- half a hb patty and a slice of the spinach thing
s-eight! swallows of milk, grocery store fuel
s-15 small small salt and vinegar almonds. they're like junior almonds. I think I deserve 15 more.
L-salad w/ 1/2 hb patty (that's it for them, now I'm meatless), fr. feta, and one of those brown tomatoes (kyoto, akimbo, komodo? you know). VERY Good salad.
The tomato was entirely good enough to eat and tomatoes are my favorite food, I don't Ever eat them out of season.
s-another slice of the spinach thing. 1/3 of an orange. 2 more almonds. A glass of wine. Starting another glass of wine. There's nothing to eat
S-Invented Lebanese hamburger salad. 3 oz hb fried and well drained, back in the pan and add zaatar to toast seeds, butter lettuce, 1 oz feta, half a lemon's worth of juice, small dribble olive oil, a little minced garlic, toss of parsley, TB tahini sauce. It was awesome. (still working on second glass of wine)

Hm-two glasses of wine, 17 almonds, no chocolate. I can live with that.
HM-way to0 much beef though, don't be running out of chicken like that again. Also almonds AND tahini sauce. Oh well, it was saturday.

Bethy, the midwest was teased with weather in the 70s in March and now we're getting punished with 50s and rain!

I think I'm going to be making that spinach dish tomorrow for the week, sounds like you like it! :) Have a good rest of the weekend!

It gets better in the fridge, Jess. I like it cold. The second time I increased the garlic a good bit and added a pinch of nutmeg, a little lemon pepper, used good fresh greek feta. I'm thinking about adding some meat to the next one. I get on these jags  We're having that same weather after that same tease. I grilled all the way through the winter, didn't miss a week, snow grilling, sleet grilling. But now that it's 57 degrees, I've decided it's Too Cold and I'm not grilling anymore until the weather starts acting right. It just better start acting right next week is all because it's Derby time :D

Be careful what you wish for, our 50's are supposed to be 90's by the end of the week. I was really enjoying not paying for air conditioning!

Heading to work for my marathon meeting. What a glorious way to spend a weekend! But at least I know things will slow down to 3rd gear in about another week.

For one thing, 15 of these salt and vinegar almonds are obv way less than a serving. Many of them are pistachioesque and none are anywhere near the size of a pecan. Of which 15 are also a serving.

b-leftover lebanese hamburger salad.
L-one slice of spinach stuff
s- 20 salt and vinegar almonds. (Emotion...a powerful and irrational master ...there seemed little doubt that Janet was, indeed, its slave.)
s-about 3 oz of crockpot chicken (do not crockpot any more chicken) just trying to avoid almonds.
S-about 4oz pork roast and 1/2 cup sweet potatoes. 2 glasses of wine
sigh.....then:
 about 40-140 (who was counting?) salt and vinegar almonds. NOT SPEAKING to Mike. My seven week record, broken, like my spirit. The horror! The Horror!
