 Lisa, I love it when I can make it there! I've been subbing so much for Turbo at different locations that some Sundays I just can't move to get there :( And such is life but loving teaching right now, even though i'm SO sore today :|

Jeff  ... no need to haunt me, you're part of my life now :D I've missed you too and hope all is well!!

So I totally HATE my job still and finally fed up with it and updating my resume today. The department is just now where I can function effectively; i'm working 10-12hrs a day. It turns out this is more of a budget rep role and that just isn't me. I'd been optimistic about it but things just aren't going to change so I have to do some changing. Wish me luck and send prayers/good vibes please and thank you!
While I wouldn't want to do it full time, I'm LOVING teaching Turbo Kick :!: :!: :!: This week I started instructing a strength class called BodyFit. OMG I do Turbo between 3-4 times a week but that isn't isolating muscles and Man am I feeling it still today  I taught my first class Monday then another Tuesday, took Turbo Wednesday and teaching Turbo tonight :| The plus is tonight is my first night with a new class and is bitter sweet. I'd been teaching downtown and felt like I built that class up now I have to leave them. Not sure what the numbers are in this class and that is what it's all about...the numbers! The ladies will miss me but think I'll be rotating instructing the Wednesday class which is like 55-65 women, easy and I hurt em' :P
Spring/summer has been full of campus visits. Her #1 choice right now is UofMN and think we favor there too. It's up to her ultimately and is applying to all Big 10 schools so she's thinking of her future at least. We have assistance, which we pay for but worth it, that keeps us on track and not sure what we would do without them. There are lots of steps and if you aren't familiar with the process, it can become very overwhelming. She's taking it all in stride, working hard and looking forward to applying to college. 1) UofMN, 2) UofI, 3) Spellman and 4) UCLA. We've been everywhere but to UCLA but going there in October. She began to geographically think of her choices when we started the visits so why UCLA is last visit; not to mention the flight my gf found couldn't be beat ($230 for all 3 of us, round trip, non stop on Spirit Airlines)!
Told you all about the adoption and there were some additional time added but it's finally final and she has DHs last name...well we hypenated it. This is not only good because she saw it this way anyway but also she now qualifies for his benefits which include college assistance. I told my gfs it was final so they're giving them a 'Baby Daddy Shower' later this month  It'll be fun and a relief for both DD & DH.

I've been working out and maintaing my weight but not eating so well  That is me being accountable for my actions. We've been going through so much lately that my diet isn't always the greatest and that is due to my schedule. By the time I get home in the evening Whiz has already been walked so I've missed out on that a lot. Working on balancing things out but again, holding myself accountable. I got on the scale the other day and was holding at 126.2lbs so staying within my range and alright with that. There are days I feel i've exceeded the range but only get on the scale once a month unless I go over/hit the top of range; then I get on every 2 weeks to ensure I'm staying on track. Luckily i've only met/gone over range once this summer  Just something about beer and pizza in the summer time, sitting on the patio and soaking in the rays 8)

Well, i'm going to get some work done and rest before my class tonight. I call it 'Thirstay Thursday Turbo...Who's Comin' to Get Some?!' Wishing you all a wonderful day, sending all my love :D 8)

You must look absolutely amazing with all these classes and teaching so many classes. Good for you. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to teach BodyJam or Zumba, but, my life is just too crazy right now with work, kids, travel (see my journal)... life is good!! Not complaining! Hope food is going well for you. It is for me!

MrsGJr Back At It Journey

Postby mrsgjr » Wed May 30, 2012 2:49 am

Home is where the Heart is and my Heart is right here with you guys!! :D 8)

Lisa, Jeff, Judy, Sh & SharleyB...THANK YOU FOR BEING MY FRIENDS!! Since my last logon, my life has gone in a total roller coaster and I'm finally able to get off and breathe for just one moment  Please know you were/are always in my heart and mind so thought and prayed for you often!!

While I'm not going to go into the full story right now, here's a quick summary: 1. got a new position within the company in November 2011, 2. daughter turned 18yrs old, 2011 3. foot surgery to remove a bone, February 2012, 4. one week later daughter moved out in with a friend and began missing many days at school (wait until I tell you all this story and sorry for the tease!), 5. daughter did not go to prom, May 2012, 6. wasn't sure she would truly graduate until a week before graduation and did walk the stage on this past Sunday, 5.27.12, 7. going to ISU. Welp, I think that's a pretty good summary of what's going on minus my emotion, LOL

With that being said, I'm back on the Beach...and my Hubby Bear, and a possible gf, has joined me! I've gained about 16lbs since February and while I understand I had no movement for 8 of 12wks, that is a lot of weight and I know that my eating has veered far, far away from the Beach   Here is when you know you're sliding back: A) Little Cousin: Oh Wanda, that is you. My mother said she thought that was you but then she said my cousin isn't that big! B) Evangelist Auntie: Fred, what is Wanda doing to you over there? You gon' have to find a diet soon! WTF is what most people would say but when it comes from family, it's not the intent to hurt feelings but to 'Keep It Real!'

Start Over Date: 5.29.12
Weight: 140.4lbs

5.29.12
b - cup of coffee w/ creamer & 4 equals, 1/2 venti iced skinny Carmel macchiato, 1/4 omelet with tomato, spinach, onion and little cheese
l – chipotle chicken salad, pinto beans, tomatillo, sprinkle cheese, guacamole
d – vienna hot dog, grilled fish, grilled zucchini & peppers
*Lots of water!!!
Exercise: Jogged 1/2m with dog

Hubby may join us here but not sure. He's heard all about you all so if he decides to create an account, I'll pass along his name

I sure hope you all are taking good care of yourselves! I'll be back to post in your journal, as well as my own since I got yelled at before :P All my love 8)

MrsGJr Back At It Journey

Postby mrsgjr » Thu May 31, 2012 1:57 am

Day 2 was successfully ... kinda  While I didn't cheat, I didn't eat

Hubby Bear made us a great breakfast, I got a workout in then bam...work got hectic! I even took the lunch out of fridge at work, sat it on my desk and still didn't eat it. Making lunch for work was an accomplishment in itself, lol. That's alright because I came home, had a snack, grilled some chicken breast that I'd marinated last night to prepare for work salads and even made Whiz breakfast for tomorrow (yes, he's the baby now :D ) Having leftovers for dinner and already thinking stir-fry for tomorrow

Update: 1. The assistant to the National Sales Director was retiring so spoke with a colleague, who happens to be a good friend of his, about the approach. She told me my name was brought up but wasn't sure there was interest; where I assured her there was. I asked if she thought I should approach him, she said yes, got an interview and am now the Executive Assistant. While my decision was validated in December, it was more so when I found out that the manager of the department was taking another role in the company but one where others would look at as a demotion...then the gentleman I hired is leaving Friday of this week. God works in mysterious ways and He has proven you should open up your heart, mind, listen and let His will be done! I'm a much happier person today and Love my boss and working for him. He's a genuine guy and so laid back which suits my personality. 2. This story is way long and will elaborate later on this topic. 3. Bone I was born with successfully removed and on the road to recovery! I started teaching my strength classes again about 4 weeks ago in lieu of therapy per the therapist and doctor, lol. Went to therapy about 3 times in 4 weeks (that is when they told me to come not cause I missed a session) and she gave me a great review with the doctor. They agreed that I was/would do the home therapy and released me to teach the strength and ease back into Turbo. Today was my FIRST Turbo class that I'm taking and thought I was going to pass out because I'm so much heavier and I went Hard. My foot is a little sore but not painful like it was before surgery. 4-6. Refer to 2.

Hubby is doing better than I thought he was on the Beach. We went grocery shopping yesterday, sat down and came up with some meal ideas, trained the dog together (and he did well), got ready for the next day and feeling pretty good today. Next weekend is not only my worst time on P1 but I'm going Ft. Wayne to see my sister-in-law. I'm staying with some friends and I KNOW they will NOT be happy so I'm trying to plan meal times before I get there so they are on board without even knowing...well until I don't drink anything. I need P1 now to get myself back on track with eating. My life has been a roller coaster since December...oh yea lost 2 VERY close relatives within 3wks, one passing away on Christmas Eve :( That on top of the kid has just been a downward spiral for me on the eating and drinking front. I'd even began to drink more soda and juices instead of water and tonic for my alcohol. It's alright though as I'm back on the Beach and not because I'm trying to get into a swimsuit either 8) This return is due to the fact that I KNOW what I need to do and what is required to achieve my goal :!: :!: :!:

Well wishing you all a wonderful evening and see you as we travel the Beach tomorrow...aaaahhhhhh 8) :P

5.30.12
b - omelet w/ pico de gallo, ff cheese, 2 cups of coffee, non dairy creamer, equal (7)
l - -_-
s - sunflower seeds 1TBSP
d - filet mignon, salad w/ cucumber and cherry tomatoes (2)
s - sf cherry pomegranate jello :D
Exercise: Turbo 45min of Intensity but loved every minute of it! Can't wait to start teaching it again :?

Hi Wanda!!! Wow! You sure have had a busy, crazy, stressful life lately! I am so glad to see that you are back in here. I had a surgery that took a bit to recover from too and I gained about 8 lbs. I get so depressed when I can't exercise and that leads to poor eating choices. I am back on too and making my health a priority again. We can do it. You have done it before and you can do it again! Hope you have a great day!!! So awesome that your DH is in it with you....makes it so much easier!

Oh Wanda!! I'm so happy you're here and you posted what's been going on. I've been keeping up with you a bit but had no idea of all this craziness these past many months. You are in the right place. Congratulations on the new job. Sorry to hear about the passing of your relatives. Hoping your daughter is doing well. Love the pics you post on FB of you and your hubby bear. Makes me smile.

I've been out with a worn ligament in my foot... no Zumba or BodyJam for me for the last month and you know how hard that is for me. I really feel like those classes change my body, so now I've gone the other way, feeling all soft and flabby... and need to get back to them. My physio is helping and I think I'm getting close... fingers crossed. I know how bad it feels to have that extra weight on your body. You will get that 16 1bs off and you will get your body back. Teaching classes is amazing and is my dream to do as well one day. You are my inspiration lady.

Thanks for being here. Lots of hugs!!!

Hi Maureen! Thank you and i've been following you on FB :-) I know what you mean to get depressed over not being able to exercise. It's frustrating when you can't move your body the way you want to and with all I had going on, Lord knows I needed it. But that's alright as we're back where we belong...on the Beach 8) I'll be here, and there, supporting you all the way!

Hey Lisa and yes, you wouldn't know what's going on there on FB. This is personal business and only my family can be aware of the situation in my life  Thank you, thank you and thank you! I wish you a speedy recover from that ligament bothering you and happy physio is helping. I'm not back 100% either but closer than before so know you're recoup and be just fine. All my love!

5.31.12
b - cup of coffee, non dairy creamer, equal 4
l - 1 1/2 Vienna hot dog, grilled onion, salad w/ tomatoes, ff cheese, chicken, Italian dressing
d - nuts, diet lipton green tea
Lots of water
Exercise: BodySync 45mins, Zumba 15mins

6.1.12
b - greek yogurt w/ 1 equal, coffee, non dairy creamer, equal 4
l - chipotle chicken salad, pinto beans, little cheese, tomatillo, guac
d - port tenderloin, pinto beans made w/ canadian bacon
Exercise: None

Ok, now that that's out of the way, I'm on day 5 and feeling a little overwhelmed but remain focused. DH is doing alright but craving for juice; he loves OJ and I love apple juice  He is eating late night though which I told him he has to stop. I told him to eat until he's full and if he's not, he should get himself seconds to avoid having more than a snack later. What he eats is a salad but that is still heavy, I think, at 10-11pm instead of jello or nuts...something like a snack not a meal. He just confirmed that he's not been eating until he's full so gets hungry afterward. Give me your feedback on that please and thank you.

Saw DD this morning and talked for a moment. She was fearful of losing her bf, gave her my opinion then got a call from her bf crying! I don't understand how DD can think that everyone else around her has changed and she hasn't. DH said that he's not confident she will finish her first year of college based on her thought process lately but we have to see that she has an opportunity to go. If she falls short, then she only has herself to blame. UGH the teen years  :x :? :(

Today's menu is going alright so far but will miss a meal  I've been on the move so much that I just don't have time but at least the meals I am eating are SB friendly. We are going to sil next weekend and I'm almost dreading it as I'm craving a stiff dirty martini w/ stuffed olives in a bad way  I looked back at what I ate when I was doing P1 but don't see anything; looks like I started the journal at P2. I'm trying to keep a variety of foods so that neither of us get bored...normally by now I'd be nauseous by the smell of eggs but it's amazing how pico de gallo goes with it, LOL. Sure that I'll find something and thinking about a stir-fry real soon!

Welp I'm going to hang with DH today. We decided that we have to stay at our house as if we go to our friends homes it would be too tempting. I know, we could practice self control but feel like it's too early for those temptations especially with the weather we're having. Could easily drink a vodka & arnold palmer Right this second on the deck! We're going to succeed over the next 10 days and I know you'll all be rooting for us  :D

Take good care of yourselves...All My Love 8)
