I didn't have any sweets. But I set a personal record for  devilled eggs.

Can I just dump the crumpled foil wrappers?

Moved the (few) leftovers to my son's computer desk. Will not say how many chocolate or malted eggs I ate. But I will confess to my nice slice of cheesecake topped w/berries and whipped cream. And bread, but at least I dipped it in olive oil. Dinner was vegetarian to help assuage the guilt.

My stomach is going to take today to recover. Felt awful and bloated. Why do we keep doing this to ourselves?

I made deviled eggs too! First time ever making them myself, thanks for the inspiration bethy. :) I only had about 3 full eggs.

Did break open the box-o-candy from my loving mother. Did eat a lot of it....one Reese's egg, a bunch of mini robin's eggs malted milk balls, a bunch of jelly beans, a few sweettarts ducks & clucks. Hmmm not TOO bad overall, I guess! Made sure to eat lots of veggies and drink lots of water too.

You notice how we almost all like malted milk balls? We should figure out a way to make South Beachy ones and open a factory.
(I'm trying to do my taxes, it's making me need to keep hiding my head in here.)
(I have NEVER not filed my taxes as soon as the w-2's are available before. I'm having a heart attack. If I find all the papers I might just go throw it all in the nearest H n R block office and run. Help!)( I have to itemize b/c I bought a house <don't do it Lissa> and I can't find the mortgage interest thingy is my current crisis.)

How many Peeps are in a serving in P2, and does the color make a difference? (These are yellow.) And since they are chicken shaped, do they count as a protein? Thanks.

i found it i found it i found the mortgage interest form!!!
I get a little break.
I only like white peeps and they are extinct. One peep HEAD and TAIL ONLY is a serving and counts as your sweet treat allowance for the day. if you like your peep heads AGED a little, to improve texture, you can have two per day. I've been wondering, given the remaining color options, whether orange or green would taste less like food coloring than yellow. Pink and Purple are obviously just going to taste disgusting.

Lol bethy....too late, I already OWN a house. I'm buying a second one. Cuz why not? So I've been doing my own taxes and itemizing since oh....2004. It's not so hard once you know what stuff is called. I highly HIGHLY recommend using online turbotax. So so easy and free! This is the first year I had mine done before April....and only cuz I needed the return for the house-buying.

More candy today but it's almost all gone now. Have so far succeeded in not opening the last bag of Doritos in the cupboard. Or buying any alcohol. Prepping to make a nice pot of lentil soup for the week. Soup to candy is like nachos to alcohol, right? Soaks it all up? :?

Thanks, Lissa, I've been using another online tax service but it's always been standard deduction since I started using it. And I've been thinking about switching to Turbotax cause so many people like it. But it's hard to decide to switch because the other one has all my data and stuff. I've got my stuff together now, so all I have to do is quit flip-flopping, pick one and get started. LOL. Piece of cake. Flip a coin. No big deal. So why haven't I done it??? Because I'd rather get ORGANIZED to do things than actually do them. Pass the wine, let's watch TV!!

Happy to say that I really skated on the sweets because I simply didn't have any in the house! The kids had a few in their Easter Baskets, but too few for me to sneak any without them missing them (not that I'm the mom that goes through their Halloween candy or anything. ). I did have more than my fair share of devilled eggs (huge hit around here!!), and have been suffering the water retaining consequences of having salty, delicious ham! But, I did limit the siren call of that tasty protein by getting a pretty small ham. I have also been exercising pretty intensely this week, in the hopes of mitigating the indulgences. For desert, I served sliced strawberries that had been marinated in a brandy/agave syrup! Very delicious, with very little guilt!

Devilled eggs are SO yummy. I had gotten out of the habit of making them and they were so good I'm thinking they might have to be Not Just for Easter anymore.
