We can do this together, HG.
Have good stuff - PERMITTED STUFF, I mean, not the bag of Utz that's sitting on the shelf next to the Pringles - ready in the fridge and pantry. Then take it one meal, one snack, one decision at a time. Don't worry about how hard you may think it's going to be to do this tomorrow or next year, just worry about Breakfast. Don't worry oabout thetens of pounds, concentrate on today's nutrition and intake. Then find ways to stay active and productive. Drink lots of water -- it fills you up, and besides, most of us don't like to munch while running to the bathroom.

And post, post, post here.
With diabetes in your family, you have more reasons than some do to get your weight in hand. So come on, girl! You are too important to the world to be done in by a doughnut. Even if it does have sprinkles on it.
We're here to help. And to be helped. Scream when you need us!
