so happy to see you back in here posting. I went up 10 1bs too since my Disney vacation and Christmas. It felt terrible. I could feel it in my jiggly stomach and my tight clothes... blah  So I got mad at myself, read every post I made in my journal since the beginning, and started a new P1 on Jan.3rd. I kicked myself hard in the butt, got to the gym, was super SB strict and have lost 8 of those 10 1bs - thank God!! I'm pretty much where I was last year at this time, but that's okay. I have 11 1bs to goal and I know I can get there if I get my focus on. I hope you feel that way too. We're always here for you. Jeff is back too... he's on a cruise right now.

Judi....

I was thinking about you a lot this week, and then you came back to the boards yesterday! (Actually on a day that I needed Dr. Judi) DH had surgery yesterday for melanoma at the same site he had it 3 years ago. This time he had Mohs so we know that the margins are clear for now. DD posted a note on Facebook urging her friends to stop tanning!

I did not have a great food day yesterday-naturally. I am resolved to start each day fresh. If I have to eat off plan-for a meal-I will start again with the next meal to make a better choice. I never seem to make time for exercise. I still have to deal with that..one of these days.

Take care-

Well, for sure, this IS the best support group ever! That much is very very clear.

Lisa, Chris- thank you for visiting. I am planning on sticking around.

Mary Ann, sorry to hear about DH's melanoma. I deal with this daily where I tell people to avoid the sun, and they think I am spreading some dogma- of course, if they get something, they suddenly are scared. Anyway, hope he is well taken care of medically, email me if you need any help.

The past week I have really watched the calories I ate, and limited my protein to about 7-8 oz a day. I dropped two lbs, first drop in a long time, so I am now getting psyched. I ate a little off yesterday. I notice that when I am very tired, which is every day when I get home, I tend to go off more easily. Anyway, today I am trying to be back on track.

Hang in there everyone. Have a good weekend.

Hey Judi,

Hooray for the 2 pounds!!! I think portion control is important at this point when we have been at this WOE long-term. I am down 1.5 this week myself!

I'll send an e-mail. I am Ok with DH's situation, but if I tell you all...you might suggest a question or two to ask when we have his stitches removed on Thursday.

Keep up the portion control this week and don't let yourself hit that wall when you just grab anything to eat when you are too tired to think!

Take care-

Well- good news is, I dropped one more lb. I really want to watch it this week, as this is the first time in AGES that I was able to move the scale. So yes, portion control. Will have to work hard to get rid of those extra 10 remaining. And from there, try once again to go down.

There is a woman here who is starting a wt loss group, more a therapy than food related group. I decided to try it. Perhaps it would help me figure out why I sabotage my own efforts at times. In any case, it's a limited time ( 17 weeks, once a week), so it's not that bad.

Mary Ann, let me know what you need- I will be happy to help if I can. Thank you for the encouragement. It's good to feel better about oneself. Kudos to you on your loss. I know it's not easy, and you seem to be able to muster up self control with ease. Well, at least you make it look like it! :-)

Lisa, Chris, Maureen (where are you?), OnaMi and my other friends, I looked around on your jrnls- sorry had no time to post but Lisa, congrats on your loss, and Chris, you and I are in the same struggle boat. Let's all hang in there.

Hi, Judi! I'm still here. Had a busy weekend getting my son back to school in NY, eating went totally off-track while I visited family there and I'm still trying to get back to basics now that I'm home. I HAVE been exercising and my meals are fine, just eating bread, cookies, crap. The good news is that I have my annual physical today so will probably be read the riot act about my weight! Nothing like my very thin wonderful physician's assistant looking me in the eye.

Making a pot of chili for tonight. I need stick to the ribs food and I need to hide the bread (and wine  )!

Just a short entry, we are going soon to the setup of Michael's very first real gig
We are excited.
Since the last lb, I lost another two, now 5 lbs total since late December. Takes portion control, minimal indulgences and avoiding misssteps as much as possible.
I am very psyched that I held on to the last 2 lbs, I thought it was water wt and would go right back up. So now that is stuck, I will hope by the end of next week maybe a little more will be gone. But mostly that nothing goes back up.
Will tell you more about the wt loss group after the 2nd session.
Veronica thank you for stopping by!
Will also let you know re Michael's party!

Hey Jeff, love the blanks!!!! lol. I sure can fill'm. It's good to see you too. You are so positive, hard not to feel good about things reading your posts.

We had a great event on Sat- Michael did great and hopefully this event will be the beginning of his opportunities. On Sunday, I guess just coming down from it all, I ate more than I have been the past few weeks, but nothing freaky- just more protein than needed, a little starch I usually avoid and all together probably too many calories. This morning, back to the routine though.

It's really just great to see everyone here, kind of like family, so cozy.

I will look around your individual journals, but have a great week, everyone!

Hi, Judi! Glad Michael had a great first gig! And you deserve some mommy time for the great job you're doing with him.

I'm so glad to see everyone posting again. It really really helps to be able to check in here and read everyone's posts, especially when I'm about to open the snack cabinet....
