Thanks Susan! You are right! Last week I worked on the eating within 30 minutes of rising and also becoming mindful of how I felt eating certain foods. I avoided sugar or had very little of it and this week I am adding the task of being aware of white flour and removing that from my diet. Small changes but I feel they are all in the right direction. Had our big paddle tournament this weekend to benefit those with Breast Cancer w/ financial needs in our area. We played four matches in one day. Won two and lost two but had a great time. Body is worn out but worth it for such a great cause! Getting to like all this water and I am coming to the realization that sometimes I mistake thirst for hunger!!!!

I'm still here!!

Things are going great so far in the food dept. No sugar for the last 2 weeks - and i needed it! Basically have been phase 1 for 2 full weeks and I feel great. No more Coke Zero - rather than 4-5 A DAY (!!!!!!) I've had 3.5 in the last 2 weeks. Just water and milk. And I forgot how much I really love water! I have also been mindful of that munchy feeling between meals and have been drinking a glass of water when my mind wanders to the "what can I snack on" mode and that's been a pig help.

A few pounds down, numbers on the scale I haven't seen in a few years, and best of all my pants are already falling down! :D

Now to get back to whole grains & such and keeping things in check - and keeping it up - for good. I turn 40 this year. I don't like being the Fat Mom, nor do I want to be 40 and fat.

@wiley - Nice job on the tournament. Worth cause for sure. And good for you for working on you. Pat yourself on the back!

@susan - cooking butter in butter - bwahahahaha!! Still riding?
86 lbs Gone! :D

Don't ride much in the winter. I just can't tolerate the cold. I bought a Stairmaster back in the fall. A real one! I'm using it while the weather is crummy along with my CardioCoach workouts. I find it less boring than riding on the trainer. Plus it kicks my butt.

BTW, you get no sympathy whatsoever for turning 40.

I didn't do a P1 this time. I have to eat my high fiber cereal in the morning to keep things perking along. I'm looking to ditch 8-9 lbs. Any more is gravy, so to speak.

I am here and still plugging along. My commitment to drinking water and eating well has continued. Trying hard to not think too much about it.Trashy Mama- you and WGirl really keep me going and inspire me. Jams and Doc too. I find a tremendous freedom when eating well from the inner chatter. When eating crap I spend so much time thinking about food (what to eat next, what not to eat, how to end the downward spiral and not binge, etc) It is such a horrible time and mind suck. The eating within a half hour of rising continues to be a challenge. Just not finding anything appealing at that time in the morn. I keep trying.

Hello Gals! I have been working really hard to remove white flour this week in addition to removing sugar last week. I can say I have had little of both. We went out for dinner one night and instead of a ww quesadillia that I ordered a white flour one came instead. I ate it and was fine. I have been spot on with the breakfast goal and water goal. My clothes and jewelry feel loose. I am taking it one week at a time making healthier choices and trying to eat every 3 hours something beachy. I am always looking for foods that taste good at 6am. All I really want at that time is something warm. It is too bad the oatmeal triggers me. I have tried it too many times paired with a variety of proteins, etc. but still it makes me hungry all day. WonderWoman-I am proud of you. You are a great example for your boys. Eating healthy takes time, planning, and perseverance. Great qualities for you to model for your kids.

I have been stringing clean eating days together likes pearls on a silk strand. Taking it a day at a time. Feel a tremendous sense of freedom. Toes in the sand.

Morning beach friends- I speak w/Holistic Health Coach tonight for my second session. 41 days of mindful eating since we first spoke. I have not been perfect but I have really improved my diet and attitude about food. Not living in the extremes. Eating breakfast soon after I rise and drinking lots of water. Clothes are looser and I feel like I can handle the urges to eat out of control better. Still exercising often but eating well really makes me feel fit!

I am here. Just wrote you. Hubby was diagnosed at 52 w/ prostate cancer so we are doing tests, planning surgery and just basically freaking out and trying to educate ourselves. Puts my food addiction and struggles on the side burner. I am doing ok w/ food but heartsick.

Bad, bad news - thoughts are with you and your family. My dad has been fighting thymoma for the last five years and is really struggling these days, so I know where you're at. Life gets messy but hopefully you are all realizing what's important - and I'm sure that's not calorie counting or scales these days. Who can blame you. Hugs to you. Always around if you need to chat.

I am committed to eating well. I feel like I can handle life better when I am not condemning myself for bad choices. I am eating very little sugar and white flour and eating less sf franken fake foods. Working it while riding rocky roads. I must.

Just making my every-few-months drive through.

Hope all is well with Mr. Wiley - think of you often.

All is going well here - down 35-40lbs and still plugging along. Just not so easy anymore with life as Mom and with 40 being just a few months away.

Back to playing referee - be back again to say hi at some point.
