Hey Buddies-O-Mine - good to see you here!!
I hit a road block (or two) but I survived. First was taxes. I'm self-employed so it is a freaking nightmare when January rolls around. It literally takes me a solid week to go through each and EVERY receipt I've received for the entire year and tally everything up. Ugh ugh UGH! I missed Yoga on Thursday...

.... and Friday night I was so stressed that I let my other personality take over my body and go berserk!! I drank three of my special drinks (7-Up, vanilla ice cream and orange juice) and ate BBQ Corn Nuts for dinner. Yes - corn nuts! A whole bag. And not one of those wimpy little bags, either! I know I have food issues, but I never realized that my eating was motivated by stress, too.
Then on Saturday morning I had my taxes done by my accountant and went out with my daughter and son-in-law to an English pub where we had fish and chips. I was given a large gift certificate for Christmas and we had had this planned for some time.
So getting up this Sunday morning - you would think my scale would explode or something. Today was official weigh-in day.... and I am down another pound! Wooohoo!! Think what I might have lost if I hadn't gone off my rocker! Still... I will definitely take that pound! HA HA - I feel like one of those contestants on the Biggest Loser who doesn't lose much weight... but says, "Well... I'll take the pound".
I went to the gym and did an hour of interval on the Dreadmill. I could barely walk out of the darn gym after I was finished! Once again I was literally stunned by the massive amount of people there on a Sunday morning. How long can they last?? Hopefully a long time, but I doubt it. Soon enough it will trickle down to just a small group of us. Once again too, the majority of the people were young and thin. NO ONE was obese. Out of the hundred or so people. Not one. I saw a couple of older guys with a bit of a belly and that was it.
We had a family break-through of sorts. I told my boys I was going to be planning meals for the week and were there any requests - they had two. Greek Sloppy Joes and African Red Bean Stew. BOTH South Beach dinners. Since I am on the Beach and I cook South-Beachy that might not sound impressive... but I have twin teenaged boys - and they will always at least ASK for something they like that isn't Beachy. Pretty cool!
