I don't think you gave it enough time to decide if it's for you or not.
People can lose too much water weight in p1 from the reduction in carbs, so when you add those back in p2, some of the water weight comes back. That's normal and healthy. It's not like you're gaining back 4 lbs of bodyfat. That water weight can start to even out around 3-4 weeks on p2. You are right in that range. Over the next several weeks, you would likely see those pounds drop off again as you lose bodyfat.
There are lots of ways to lose weight. Some of them are going to be faster than SB, yes. But they aren't sustainable, and, even worse, they can result in loss of bone and muscle. So when you are done losing weight you are even worse off from a health standpoint than before the diet, even though you liked the result on the scale. Ultimately the weight comes back once you start eating "normally" again.
With SB, the idea is to train yourself to have a new "normal." Then the weight leaves and stays off.
So do you want to lose weight healthily and sustainably? Or do you want to do some crash diet that is bad for you and doesn't result in lasting good habits and weight loss?
