Anyone starting phase 2 tmw (Sunday Aug 28)?

I'm starting phase 2 of my tune up tomorrow. I plan to add back an apple with PB as my mid afternoon snack. And then quinoa, because, well, I love it.
I can't eat wheat breads (gluten) and find most GF breads inedible (or too high in sugars), so it won't be bread.
Six pounds down, six to go. I expect it to take til about Halloween given my age and hormones. :-)

Anyone else starting tomorrow and want to team up for support?

I am starting phase 2 today Aug 29. I lost 5.6 lbs on phase 1. Hope to reach my goal weight by the end of the year. So tired of having this muffin top and having to pass on nice clothes that don't look good on me. I keep telling myself that persistence will pay off. Watermelon is one of my favorite fruits I've been eating a lot of this year but read it is a big no no. I thought it was mostly water! I'll find another fruit to add daily for the first week and see how that goes.

Congrats on the 5.6 lbs!

En the end today was phase 2 day one for me. I think it went pretty well. (I stalled a day to make it a monday) I added the apple, as planned (okay, and a glass of red wine). I did cardio at the gym AND walked to work and back.
I'll be curious to see how the wine does... water retention seems to be my mid 40s nemesis.
Hope your first day went (is going) well.

ps: I hear you on the water melon. It's a great natural diuretic, but a no no for SB... for a while anyway.

Made it to the end of week 3 on the SB Diet! Yeah! I think I lost up to a pound this past week. I say "think" because I notice sometimes my scale is not consistent when I step on it a second time after a few minutes. Anyway, my jeans are not as tight as when I started 3 weeks ago, and that is what matters. I resisted ice cream when I was out on Saturday and was so glad I had the will power. When I got home I had a kiwi after dinner and it was so delicious. I do find that although I am not hungry I have the habit of wanting to munch on something. Bought packs of sugarless gum to help me with that.

With a scale, you can never be 100% sure anyway. It weighs everything - fat, muscle, water, clothes, the food in your stomach, etc. You're right to focus more on your actual size. Jeans being less tight and fitting better is a good sign of progress. :)

I'm on my 7th week of SB diet and despite one week of bad eating (went out with friends, ate wrong food and got my sweet cravings triggered) then getting back on track, I am continuing to lose slowly. My waist has shrunk about an inch!
