Hi Lisa! Wow! That is an awesome compliment from your DH! Woot-Woot! All of your hard work is paying off! I am so glad that you are in a positive place right now. That really stinks about your asthma....Beau had a rough weekend too and his doctor said there were tons of asthmatics coming in the hospital this past weekend. I used to have asthma when I lived with my parents who both smoked. It was awful and scary when an attack came. I sure hope it is doing better and you are able to exercise. I know how much it helps you! I am excited for us this fall! We are both on a good path now and we need to keep it going! You are going to be so skinny for your trips! :D

So nice to see so many visitors in here. Thanks guys!!

Kyan, I've had exercise induced asthma for years so I use the inhaler 1/2 hour before I work out and it controls it. I never start wheezing for no reason... so that's why I'm so concerned. BUT I went to the allergist Tuesday and he put me on a new antibiotic to treat my never ending sinus infection, and prescribed me a new inhaler (Symbotol) that I use morning and night. It seems to be doing the trick. Today I used it before my BodyJam class (the class I couldn't make it through last Friday), and I didn't wheeze once. I was so happy I had a big smile on my face the whole time!! Thank God!! I'll run through the antibiotics then cut the inhaler to once a day, then only when I exercise, and hope to go back to normal. Asthma sucks!!!

Hey Play-doh! Nice to see you!! It was a nice compliment from DH but I'm still 7 1bs (ish) heavier than my lowest SB weight and I believe a little less toned... so maybe it's been too long since he's seen me naked (LOL) !!! But I do feel pretty good these days and have a Christmas goal (with Jeff & Judi) to get to 140!! 10 1bs to go!!

Jeff, look at you go!! You're doing awesome... wow!!!

Hey Judi! Glad you joined the challenge. Will have to go there next. Love Michael's new song. He is SO talented!!! He should go on the X Factor.

Hey Maureen, sorry to hear Beau hasn't been feeling well. Hope he's better now! You are right... I'm planning on getting into good shape for my trips! When I was in Club Med in Cancun in March, I told myself I would not return there until I was more comfortable in my bikini. It's such an athletic type of place with tons of sporty people and the women there just made my mouth drop open!!! Soooo..... work to be done!

So it's been a good week. Went spinning twice, BodyJam today, have been eating well and feeling motivated. All is good. Busy weekend ahead. Will try to check journals.

Hi Lisa, I was going to say the same thing as doghouse! You're doing great and I'm inspired by you!

What do you think is helping you get the pounds off these days? Have you made changes in your plan or are you just focusing more and sticking with it better?

Keep in up!

Hi guys, thanks for visiting. I've only been getting in here on the weekends due to crazy busy schedule (mine and kids) during the week. I dropped another pound this week, so dropped into the 140s for the first time since my girls cruise last November. YAY for me!!

Play-doh, a while ago on here Veronica told me about My Fitness Pal for the iPhone (and regular computer). It's a calorie counting tool which I'm actually against...BUT I was spinning my wheels for a year, getting nowhere, on and off Phase 1, trying to get it moving... and nothing. So I started questionning maybe I'm not eating enough?? Maybe I'm eating too much?? So I thought I would give it a try and I put everything I ate into the iPhone app and sure enough, I was eating healthy SB food, but WAY too much, based on my current weight and my desired goal weight!!! So, I now journal everything I eat into the app and every day it tells me how I'm doing, gives me encouragement. You can put your exercise in there too and it calculates it all. There's also a 'friend' area in there like Facebook so I have a few friends that we give each other encouragement. We are all doing super well. I'm now at 6 1bs lost.

The biggest thing it's done for me is made me SO aware of what I'm eating and how much I'm exercising. I found before this, I would eat the same on non-exercise days as I did on exercise days. NOW I eat more on exercise days and less on non-exercise days and I found that's what's making the most difference. It's an awesome tool I have to say.

Anyway, it's been a good week. Still on the enhaler but working out great with no breathing issues. Am heading to my first Zumba class in a long while today at 3pm. May even get there tomorrow too which is great for the weekend.

Hope you're all having a great weekend.

HI Lisa! I am so excited for you that you are doing so great!! 6lbs is awesome! I am having a good day and feeling optimistic that I will be back on track. I also joined the Christmas challenge. We have 12 weeks! I saw that you have new friends on my fitness pal....wow, that would be amazing if you can keep up with everyone! Good for you and everyone because you are very positive and motivational, and you also seem very full of energy! Must be all of the working out you are getting in. I finally joined a new gym with lots of different classes to keep things new and fresh! They were having a deal and it is only $19.99 a month with 1 dollar sign up fee until yesterday. All classes are included and tanning (even though I don't tan) and it is open 24 hours a day plus I can bring a guest everytime I come so I can take my daughter or DH or a friend for free. They have lots of zumba, spinning, bodypump, etc. They even have a room with tons of cardio equipment that is showing movies on a huge screen. I can't wait to start next week. :) Have a great week!

That's awesome Maureen!! What a great deal and sounds just like my gym. Yay for you!!!

Today I got a rare kid-free afternoon so I went to the gym and did 2 classes back to back. One Zumba (high cardio) followed by BodyPump. I haven't done pump in 2 years and just know I won't be able to walk tomorrow. We did so many squats and lunges, and tons of bicep/tricep work. I kept the weight really low and was able to do everything. It was good.

That is so awesome that you got to do 2 classes in a row! I wish we had afternoon classes at this gym but everything is morning or 5:30. the evening is def out for me because of the kids so I have to try to make it to the morning classes. I just want to remind you that if you are really sore from a workout, don't be worried if there is a little upward blip in the scale. That always happens to me when I do weight training then all of a sudden, the weight drops off after a few days. I am getting really excited for us! You sound awesome and it is catching! Beau has surgery for his ears on Wednesday and I hope I don't let it ruin me but anytime he has anesthesia it is a scary time. Hopefully it is quick and easy. We may even get to come home that night and I will try to do a little cardio. I don't want to mess up on the first week! Here is to a great week!! :D

Absolutely Maureen. You are back on track and you won't let Beau's surgery mess that up! I know it!!

I am sore today but not as bad as I expected. I was going to go back for a cardio class this aft, but both kids have play-dates so DH and I are going to spend a couple of hours kid-free together... I gladly gave up my gym class for that as it doesn't happen often. I have a gym date tomorrow with a work friend to do BodyPump again at 4:30 after work. Not sure what I'm thinking there... BUT.... I'll go back for more! Plus 2 spin classes this week and BodyJam on Friday-yee haw!! LOVE IT!!

funny Play-doh! Did the second Pump class yesterday and felt pretty good today. Did the 45 minute spin class and was dripping sweat through the whole thing. Hard!! Will do it again on Thursday. It's such an intense workout and quick which I like. Plus the music and energy in that class is awesome and the instructors have AMAZING bodies!!! All of them! Inspiring.

Hey Lisa,

I am getting back into posting on the boards and I looked through your journal. You are doing great!

I am excited for your upcoming trip! Our family has been to Disney World too many times to count-I'll be glad to answer any questions you might have. We have stayed in every type of hotel on and off Disney property. (I do prefer the Disney hotels.) We started going there when DD was 3 and DS was 6...now they are 20 and 23.(YIKES) My husband had business meetings in Orlando all the time and I took the kids to the parks during the day and he would meet us at EPCOT at night. I had to come up with some plans to make sure each kid was able to have their fair share of favorite rides and attractions. If you can-buy a guide book and let the kids read about the rides and shows beforehand. Have them list the things they want to do in each park and then map out your day. Lines are much shorter in the fall and before Christmas than they are in the spring and summer.

Thanks Mary-Ann. Still doing the research but am thinking we'll stay off-site at a budget hotel that has shuttles and breakfast. I think that will be better for us.
Still doing the research.

So this has been a good week. Hit both spin classes and the BEST BodyJam class yesterday. Won't get back until Monday. It's Thanksgiving long weekend here in Canada so I'll hit my fav Zumba on Monday morning. Weight remains the same this week. Body feels good. Very moitivated to get this weight off by Christmas. Hoping to hit 140...
