I thought this might help some newbies with P1 dessert ideas.

Omg...this is sooooooooo good. I just made it for my hb and I but with out the whipped cream (he doesn't not like whipped cream), I froze it to make it like an ice cream. My hb thinks it taste like a reese's cup and i think it taste like a snickers.

Can one eat this as a dessert everyday? :D

yes, but you need to count the PB towards your nut allowance and the calories in the fudge pop and any whipped topping towards your daily sweet treat allowance.

It is definitely time to "bump" this back up for all the new readers to this forum. This dessert absolutely saved us from cheating with desserts when we were on Phase 1. I still love it!

This is another great recipe that SBers need to keep handy. We still eat these--we freeze ours for about 20-25 min. before eating them.

So good !!!!!!!

Quick question, and it may sound dumb but, I'd like to try these but am not really sure whether or not the fudgesicle should be completely melted. Do I just sort of "shave" the fudgesicle off of the stick with a spoon, for example? Or do I put it in the microwave and totally melt it down to liquid then add the other ingredients and then refreeze it for a bit? I'd imagine if it needs to be totally melted that I need to let it cool completely before adding in the cool whip (otherwise it too melts)? Thanks!

I microwave the fudgesicle in a bowl just until it starts melting. Scrape it off the stick in a bowl and then smash it around so that you can stir in the Cool whip. You wouldn't want to melt it so much that it gets hot and pure liquid--just enough to soften it. It will still be cool and you can stir in the Cool Whip right away. Then freeze it right in the same bowl for about 20 min. We do!!
