I still weighed in at 160 this morning so I looked thru my menus to see if there was anything that might explain why I held on at 164 for so long and then dropped 4lbs in 2 days and I found something. The day before I dropped the 3lbs was the first day I didn't eat an egg, so now I am wondering if just that 1 egg a day was stalling me. My sister suggested that it is the yolk of the egg causing the problem, but since I am sick of eggs, I won't be trying that for at least a few days.
I have also had pork on 2 days in the form of just 2 strips of bacon and apparently my body doesn't want pork, I may even be allergic to it. I had my bacon right before bed on Saturday so didn't notice any ill effects from it. Yesterday I had slept until nearly noon because I was up most of the night. At about midnight I had my salad with the bacon and chicken I got at DQ when my fiance had to have a blizzard. I do eat slow, but within 30 minutes of me finishing the salad my sinuses got all clogged up (I have had this problem my entire life until I got on SB and yesterday I had realized it had been a month since I took a decongestant) and I suddenly felt exhausted! I had been wide awake and planned on showering and doing housework, but I had to lay down instead and then I got horrible tummy cramps! I was so tired that the pain couldn't even keep me up! I mentioned this to my sister this morning and she tells me that pork has the highest chance of giving intestinal parasites, salmonella, and some other things I don't remember now, not to mention how much trouble our bodies have trying to digest it, and we never fully do digest pork. So, pork is off my diet now forever, my tummy is still upset.
My sister had me do a test with my multi-vitamin this morning. She said that most multi-vitamins do not dissolve quickly enough to be absorbed by your body. She wanted me to put 1 multi-vitamin in a glass of water and see if it dissolved within 4 hours. After 5 minutes the coating had dissolved and by 30 mins it had dissolved completely, so I do have a good multi-vitamin at least, but she still wants me to add a vitamin d3 supplement at 2000 IU a day while I am dieting and then 1000 IU once I have finished. She says this is important for women to do before they reach 40 as it can help you from ever getting osteoporosis and the extra amount while dieting is needed as dieting can cause you to lose bone mass as well. Oh and the reason for the vitamin d3 is to help your body to absorb calcium, she says I do not need to add calcium because I eat lots of green leafy veggies that are a good source for that.
I have been feeling quite terrible this week, bloated and constipated since Monday. My temper is short, or even instant, I am constantly angry or enraged it seems. My migraines have returned and PMS along with IBS. I even threw up my banana and vitamins this morning. I am not sure if this is a ToM thing with all my hormonal changes or if my body is telling me there is something it doesn't want in the bread and cereal I have been eating. So, today I decided to lay off grains, still getting in all my fruit (I will be eating my last banana later and it better stay down!). I can not remember the last time I got enough sleep either
