Haven't been eating very well this weekend, in fact I think I may have doomed my weight loss! Yesterday I woke up to 161 on the scale and then had Arby's for breakfast and then McD. for dessert (was to be DQ but their CC machine was broke)! And for breakfast today I just had 1 pancake.

Yesterday's menu:
Breakfast: Arby’s; ham & swiss croissant, celery
Snack: forgot
Lunch: salad, chicken, carrot, tomato, ranch
Snack: skipped to have early dinner
Dinner: Great Wall Buffet; shrimp, bean sprouts, zucchini, mushrooms, broccoli, mongolian sauce, garlic, sesame oil & rice wine stir fry; string beans, black olives; strawberries & grapes, tasted a few little things from buffet as well.
Dessert: McD’s: grilled chicken ranch blt (my own ranch) & pickle

I did not do a good job of keeping track of food yesterday. It is all WoW's fault, that game makes me forget to eat!

Breakfast: buckwheat pancake /w smart balance and sf syrup
Lunch: chicken ranch salad /w tomato, carrots, CSA lettuce mix
Dinner: Pizza Hut del.: chicken caesar salad (did my best to not eat any croutons, but it is hard to tell them from the chicken sometimes!)
Snacks: 1 apple and later 1 string cheese stick

Today I have done better, only been up for a few hours tho so only breakfast so far; 1 string cheese stick (my protein since I ran out of eggs yesterday making his breakfast, plus am sick of eggs, think that was why I had the ham & swiss croissant.) I measured 1/2c baby carrots then took out 3 of them and replaced with 3 pickle spears (I had to eat them, the jar leaked when I set it on it's side to fit it on the door, didn't want them going bad! They are at least 3 times as big as the carrots so I prob got 2/3c of veggies.) 2tsp ranch to dip carrots in, buckwheat pancake /w smart balance and sf syrup & 1c of milk.

I think this weekend my body was telling me it is time to stop being scared of bread, so next shopping trip I will get a good whole grain bread and some cereal and lunch-meat. (I think I will be going to the Fresh Market for this as I don't want to be eating sandwiches that have added sugars and starches in both my bread and meat and that store is the only place I know of to get real sliced turkey/chicken lunch-meat without crap added to it.)

So, Saturday I weighed in at 161, Sunday at 164 (I imagine that was the bad starch and high salt combo of Saturday's meals), and today 160. Seeing these numbers makes me glad I weigh everyday, as I can see now that eating off plan for 1 day will not ruin my weigh-loss goals. I sat at 164 everyday for over a week before Saturday's weigh-in. It was like I dropped 3lbs overnight and then put them right back on, only to lose them again +1! When I started SB, I was hoping to lose 30lbs before my wedding, but now with it 2 weeks away, that goal is just unrealistic. I will hope for another 5lbs, but that is still really pushing it, so I will just be happy if I can maintain the 20lbs I have lost thru my ToM that is coming up soon.

I need to grab a snack and then go pick up my CSA share.

Yesterday's menu:

Breakfast: 1 string cheese stick, baby carrots /w 2tsp ranch, 3 zesty dill pickle spears, buckwheat pancake /w smart balance and sf syrup & 1c of milk
Snack: 1/2c blueberries & 1/4c walnut halves
Lunch: my fiance made dinner when he got home from work, but since I got up so late was my lunch, it was a chicken stir fry with EVOO and fresh herbs, onions, zucchini, yellow squash, eggplant and sweet peppers
Snack: sliced banana in oats /w milk
Dinner: Chicken BLT salad /w ranch

I had planned on having an apple and milk for my other snack, but the bacon thing ruined that. And since I posted all that info in a p2 thread I will copy it to here now:
I still weighed in at 160 this morning so I looked thru my menus to see if there was anything that might explain why I held on at 164 for so long and then dropped 4lbs in 2 days and I found something. The day before I dropped the 3lbs was the first day I didn't eat an egg, so now I am wondering if just that 1 egg a day was stalling me. My sister suggested that it is the yolk of the egg causing the problem, but since I am sick of eggs, I won't be trying that for at least a few days.

I have also had pork on 2 days in the form of just 2 strips of bacon and apparently my body doesn't want pork, I may even be allergic to it. I had my bacon right before bed on Saturday so didn't notice any ill effects from it. Yesterday I had slept until nearly noon because I was up most of the night. At about midnight I had my salad with the bacon and chicken I got at DQ when my fiance had to have a blizzard. I do eat slow, but within 30 minutes of me finishing the salad my sinuses got all clogged up (I have had this problem my entire life until I got on SB and yesterday I had realized it had been a month since I took a decongestant) and I suddenly felt exhausted! I had been wide awake and planned on showering and doing housework, but I had to lay down instead and then I got horrible tummy cramps! I was so tired that the pain couldn't even keep me up! I mentioned this to my sister this morning and she tells me that pork has the highest chance of giving intestinal parasites, salmonella, and some other things I don't remember now, not to mention how much trouble our bodies have trying to digest it, and we never fully do digest pork. So, pork is off my diet now forever, my tummy is still upset.

My sister had me do a test with my multi-vitamin this morning. She said that most multi-vitamins do not dissolve quickly enough to be absorbed by your body. She wanted me to put 1 multi-vitamin in a glass of water and see if it dissolved within 4 hours. After 5 minutes the coating had dissolved and by 30 mins it had dissolved completely, so I do have a good multi-vitamin at least, but she still wants me to add a vitamin d3 supplement at 2000 IU a day while I am dieting and then 1000 IU once I have finished. She says this is important for women to do before they reach 40 as it can help you from ever getting osteoporosis and the extra amount while dieting is needed as dieting can cause you to lose bone mass as well. Oh and the reason for the vitamin d3 is to help your body to absorb calcium, she says I do not need to add calcium because I eat lots of green leafy veggies that are a good source for that.

I got salad greens, parsley, blueberries, 4 ears of corn, a really huge zucchini, a green potty pan squash, a green and purple kohl rabi, 2 onions and a cucumber from my CSA.

After I posted my menu last night and before I got to sleep, my fiance started munching on a bag of cheese fix munchies. I ended up picking about 10 cheddar sun chips out of the bag (I LOVE sun chips, even plain) and then I got a sugar craving so I had 1tbs dark choc chips mixed with 1tbs NPB.

Even though I slept a lot yesterday, I still managed to get in all my meals, even if they were not all that great. ToM arrived last night and aside from cramps, I feel much better than I have the last week.

I posted this in the p2 thread on Saturday, adding here to keep journal more complete:
I have been feeling quite terrible this week, bloated and constipated since Monday. My temper is short, or even instant, I am constantly angry or enraged it seems. My migraines have returned and PMS along with IBS. I even threw up my banana and vitamins this morning. I am not sure if this is a ToM thing with all my hormonal changes or if my body is telling me there is something it doesn't want in the bread and cereal I have been eating. So, today I decided to lay off grains, still getting in all my fruit (I will be eating my last banana later and it better stay down!). I can not remember the last time I got enough sleep either

I ran out of fruit on Saturday because my blackberries had molded  I am going shopping today now that I am feeling better.

Tuesday's Menu:

B: baby carrots & ranch
S: 2% string cheese stick
L: sliced turkey & kgf
S: yogurt, blueberries, vanilla, sweetener
D: Taco Bell: 3 crunchy tacos
S: 2tbs npb

Today's Menu:

B: banana, 1/2c uncle sam, 1c 1/2% milk, 2% string cheese stick
S: baby carrots, celery & ranch
L: 2% string cheese stick, spinach & spring mix salad /w baby carrots, celery & ranch
S: 2% string cheese stick
D: broiled steak, CSA corn, spinach & spring mix salad /w baby carrots & ranch
soon:
S: 1c 1/2% milk & yogurt, blueberries, vanilla, sweetener

I decided to see how I do on a normal day with calories and such, so I put my food for today into myfitnesspal.com and discovered that I don't need to be eating those cheese sticks because I only do it to add protein and this is what it said I had remaining: Calories: 179 Carbs: 56 Fat: 3 Protein: -35. I am pretty right on for fat, but I am eating too much protein and not enough carbs if what they say I should be eating is correct. Nearly everything I eat contains protein so I definitely won't be adding something just to get more from now on. It says: If every day were like today... You'd weigh 153.2 lbs in 5 weeks! I think I will make this a goal once I get back from Vegas.

It was really good! I also had a glass 1-1 1/2c of 2% milk with that meal I forgot to include.

Been eating pretty well, I have had fish nearly everyday for at least 1 meal, and 2c of skim milk most days as well. Eating minimal grains since can't be sure how good they are. Had dinner last night at house of blues, seared ahi tuna caesar salad /w no bread YUM.

Time to get ready for my wedding soon, can't promise I will post before I get home.
