Hey, I just hit my 5 year anniversary for my Celiac diagnoses! Don't worry about the weight gain, remember, you just did Dukan. Your body is just finding its balance. When you get to P2, try some socca. It makes a great GF flat bread or pizza crust. When we went to a baseball game last week, I made a batch up to munch on to go with our veggies, nut and such.

Thanks for the suggestion!! I will definitely check it out - I've been looking for something similar. It's looking like going to the ballpark will be a regular thing this summer, so I'll need it!

So - some bad news. Fell off the wagon a bit the last two days. I DO want to be totally honest in here, so here goes. To recap:

Friday:
Breakfast:
1 cup v8 juice
2 breakfast "quiches" (egg whites, lf cheese, yellow pepper, mushrooms)

Snack:
1/2 cucumber

Lunch:
Tofu in mustard and curry spice, roasted chickpeas

Dinner/snacks at night:
30 pistachios, lettuce roll ups (turkey +lf string cheese), yellow pepper strips, cherry tomatoes
Was SB-perfect aside from 1 gluten-free beer at the ballpark. Aside from that, I ate only my packed SB-approved meals and didn't stray at the game.

Today:

Breakfast:
1 cup V8. side salad with grilled chicken and salsa

Snack:
Black bean brownie and 1/2 cup milk

Lunch:
Side salad with feta and turkey, vinaigrette

Snack:
Black bean brownie and 1/2 cup milk

Dinner:
Edamame, salad with (here's the bad part #1) julienne carrots and potatoes on top, grilled chicken, citrus vinaigrette (this is after I'd been drinking, and I ALMOST ordered a black bean burger and sweet potato fries. Despite it all, I'm proud...)

Drinks:
Shift drink - 1 glass merlot, 2 shots (did a scavenger hunt for a friend's birthday - 1 kamikaze and 1 sex on the beach (shot, so they weren't huge)), 1 vodka + soda, sips of a whiskey sour from someone else, sips of a vodka cran from someone else
This all sounds like a lot, but I'm a 22-y.o. bartender... for me, this was an incredibly light night. I messed up and am totally aware of it. Back on track more than ever. Despite it all, my food choices were great, and I don't feel like I stepped off too badly. I watched heavy friends of mine down sugary drinks and eat burritos at the bar I was at. Regardless, I'll see how it ultimately affects me at the weigh in this week. I am aware that alcohol is my biggest competitor in losing weight right now, but working 5 days a week in a bar has been incredibly difficult. Bummed but empowered and ready to have my best day yet tomorrow.

Running to the store to pick up ingredients for veggie chili and baked falafel! Weigh in today - I didn't lose any, but I also realize that I'm close to my time of the month, and I'm fairly certain that's having a huge effect on my water weight. Still struggling with finding energy and motivation to work out beyond running around at work. So tired by this time of day.

Mini-vacation at Grandma's. My day thus far:

Breakfast:
1 cup coffee with skim milk
Mini egg white omelet with mushrooms and onions
Small bowl of peanut butter panda puffs with skim milk (oops! This is hard when I'm not in my own house!)

Snack:
Going to the movies, bringing: 10 mixed nuts, 5 dark chocolate covered raisins, 3 dark chocolate covered almonds, half a handful of vegetable "chips" made into a yummy trail mix!

The semester's nearing its end, and I have 7 days to write 16 pages and prepare a 10 minute presentation... also, I've been working doubles at work. Yesterday, I worked from 9AM to 10PM with no break. Needless to say, things have been crazy...

Breakfast:
Cup of lentil soup with cottage cheese
Breakfast protein concoction - skim milk, dollop of almond butter, cottage cheese, ricotta, stevia, vanilla extract

Snack: 15 pistachios, veggie mix of raw broccoli and tomatoes with hummus
Lunch: Almost caved and picked up a Nature Valley bar from the vending machine, but instead bought a salad with grilled chicken, feta, red onions, walnuts, and sesame thai dressing on the side
Snack: Romaine lettuce cups with turkey slices and cheese
Dinner: Will most likely be chicken salad in romaine lettuce cups or a cup of chili with kale chips - not super hungry because my snacks were big today, but I'll be up all night writing a paper so I'm certain I'll need to eat again
