Hello I'm back too!

Postby alammy11 » Fri Mar 04, 2011 2:16 pm

Hi everyone!!

Just want to re-introduce myself. It's Alammy !!!! aka, Angie from Michigan. It's been a few years since I have been here, but I have come back. My husband and I started SB 3 weeks ago. So far so good, though, the scale is not showing much of a loss. But from experience I know that with this WOE, you must be patient. That said, in my previous experience with SB, my initial weight-loss has been much more impressive.

All that aside, my purpose for this post is to reconnect with old friends. I've seen a few of you here. Anne, Nancy, Mary.
Hope you all remember me as I remember you, and we can rekindle the friendships we formed once. Sure do look forward to talking to you all here. I'm sure there is Lots to catch up on!!!!!!! :D

Getting ready to make breakfast for me and the hubster. Here is what we are having

Egg Omlets with red and green peppers, and Mushrooms and mozzerella
2 Turkey Sausages links.

It's been going very well for us. Doing this WOE together makes things a little easier. Of course, he's luck he has me to make all of his meals for him, even lunches. But I wish he would take a little more responsiblity for his eating habits.

On to Phase 2. Started yesterday at dinner with a Sweet Potatoe at dinner.

Hi!
I came here a few years ago too, but forgot what my username was! Welcome back to the beach!

My DH knows I am on this WOE. If he wants to have what I am making, there is plenty for him. If he wants to eat something else, then that is up to him. He usually eats what I am eating, although whether that's from laziness or because I am making tasty meals, I am not sure. I would like to think it's because of my cooking, LOL! I just started getting frustrated trying to nail him down to SB, I figure if he can change one meal a time, it counts for something.

I have found that the cookbooks are really helping me with variety this go around.

Hi 4dogs! Thanks for the visit. Good luck getting hubby to switch to SB. Maybe he will eventually come around. I'm glad my husband is on board with me, but I just wish he would take a little more responsibility on his own. I guess, I'm just worried that without me, he wouldn't know what to do. As long as he is going a long with you, that will make things easier than if he just didn't want anything to do with what you are cooking. Stay in touch! It's good that you are finding some good recipes in the cookbooks. Gotta keep it interesting! 8)

I've got to figure out how to insert the weightloss ticker here. No time right now.

This WOE has been going very well. We are into the 4th week here and I'm down 7lbs. My clothes are fitting me again. It's nice to have some jeans I can wear instead of those aweful black knit pants that I've had for centuries. Good thing I had those, or I don't know what I would have done.
My weight this am, was 166.2. My starting weight was 173. I haven't had Breakfast yet, so I'd better eat soon!

Hey guys, Irish, and Lawn_gnome. I am here! Just haven't posted. There is a funny game called Farmville that I am addicted to and when I'm not posting it's cuz I'm farming on Facebook. :D

I'll catch you up on what I've been doing. Last week was pretty good on SB. We graduated to phase2. But then, It was my birthday on Sunday. And un beknownst to me, my 2 kids gave me a Surprise Party for my 60th. It was at my brothers house. Nothing fancy: my 3 sibs and their spouses were there; as well as my kids and their spouse. My son brought baby Colin, 8 weeks old now and so cute!!! so he got to meet some of his family. Also, neices and nephews, a cousin, and a friend of the family. They roasted me  but it was funny! and my dear brother put together a cd of me and our family. Really nice!!

Our Condo is up for sale, so that has been occupying my time as well, for there have been many lookers. I hope it sells quick because the process of cleaning up before a showing is making me a little crazy :mrgreen

Well, back to the Party, they ordered Chicken d lite. Broasted chicken, potatos, rolls, and salad. We only had chicken and salad. And lots of red wine, of which I suffered the effects from yesterday. Yesterday was hard, because I had sugar cravings real bad all day long and I ate whole grain bread and acorn squash with my roast beef for dinner. By the end of the day, the cravings were better.

So today, I will do phase 1. I think I'd better do it for the rest of the week. My weight is up. 168 this am. DH's weight was up also. Just keep plugging away, right??? Hope to hear from you!!! :D

Hello, I wasn't a frequent poster before but a long time lurker, and I'm back to the forum as well! Congrats on your 7lb loss already, that's awesome!

But really, I wanted to let you know that I TOTALLY agree with what you mean about your husband "doing SBD" with you but not taking any responsibility. My boyfriend is driving me nuts! I have the books, I talk about the plan, I've sent him links and explanations and he just "never gets around to looking at it." So we'll be out to dinner or at his parents and keep looking at me to say can I have this? What about this? And this? I feel like everyone around thinks I'm some Nazi-girlfriend ordering him as to what he can eat! It's frustrating. While I'm happy to have the buddy with this, it's also super irritating to be on top of my own eating and his at the same time.
