Banana bread sounds yummy. I've been cruisin' through soups all weekend long. Maybe I'll give in and bake! Don't you love this time of year??! :D

Great weather this weekend and took advantage by working in the yard. Planted a couple of trees with DH and weeded out my cantaloupes. My never ending sweet banana pepper plant is going strong and I am going to try canning some of them this week. Wish me luck, I have never canned before :D

How are you going to can your peppers? We've had a ton of jalapenos this year, and I've just been tossing the overflow in the freezer for soups and such.

Going to bake my carrot cake today. I use a recipe from a cake cookbook called The Whimsical Bakehouse. Amazing cake recipes! They have a hazelnut cake with a nutella mousse filling and a chocolate butter cake with a cookies and cream filling that are both to die for!

Well, my friend from Alabama surprised me by coming up for a few days to hang out and shop at the outlet mall! I really had a great time and bought a size 10 dress from Ann Taylor on sale which I honestly am tickled with :D :D :D :D I was not "beachy" but I was not too bad. I am still the same weight and finishing up my TOM so possibly broke even  I did start my Couch to 5K this week and I feel good about that...doing my third day of it tomorrow :D Smay I am looking online for some options online for canning my sweet banana peppers. There are not many variations just mostly vinegar and sugar but when I commit to one I will put it on here. Ordering my DS his class ring tomorrow and getting ready for a "guy free" Saturday since they both have plans...may have to go shopping again!!! Enjoy your day on the beach!

Yeah for good shopping! When I was in LOFT buying jeans, a sales lady who wasn't helping me started chatting with me about how terrible jean shopping is. I didn't want to say that I was enjoying it, because everything was fitting, because she was trying to empathize with me! I love Ann Taylor too, but LOFT used to be easier to find around here, and a little less damaging on my wallet! Next time I get to the premium outlets I'll have to check out their regular store there.

My Ball book of Preserving has a recipe for Basil Banana Pepper Jelly in it. I'd be happy to post it, if you are interested, but if it's not something that is appealing to you, no problem. It's not really something I'd consider making myself, but thought I'd put it out there for you!

Good luck with your Couch to 5 K. I've thought about it, but I can't make the time commitment on a daily basis, since we don't have a treadmill at home. I used to do yoga in the local studio, and after I had my oldest, bought a few videos to try at home. Post 10 lb. baby c-section stomach muscles and the videos I had really didn't go well together! So, this past year I bought a super-easy video that I like that is more of a warm-up than anything. I'm going to ease into it hopefully on an almost daily basis, and when I'm ready, step up to my older videos. The easy one is Rodney Yee's AM Yoga. It doesn't get into sun salutes or anything, but is a nice 20 minute morning refresher. I do better in a structured class than at home, but I am pretty sure I can squeeze this one in if I make the effort to.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

I'll have to add, I love Namaste. I want to say it's on FIT TV...I'm not sure. I record them. I think I have like 10 waiting for me. My daughter is finally at the age where she can stop jabbering for long enough to do them with me. Well, almost.

Such a great fun-filled weekend! Celebrated Oma's 87th birthday, my DH got to be in a golf tourney, my DS got all his community service hours in for ROTC and my DH and I were invited to the Titans game and my DF watched the kids so we could go! Not totally a beachy weekend, though...made waffles and real sausage for breakfast Sunday for the family and I ate one of each. Then at the game we were in a suite and they had spinach artichoke dip and tortilla chips. Two things I absolutely adore cooked in cheese-I never had a chance. So there I was in this nice AC room watching the Steelers kick our butt horking down dip and chips..I even got a beer which I don't normally do and my DH sits down with fresh cut veggies and fruit and a bottle of water. It was a blast and really enjoyed my "date" with my hubby. I still weigh 161 which is some kind of miracle or the scale is broke   Start my second week of Couch to 5k tomorrow and am looking forward to it! I tried the Morning Star chicken patty last week and it was delicious. Had one with some pinto beans, kale, and SB corn muffin for dinner Friday and was pleasantly "faked out". So maybe I can behave this next week and the scale will surprise me! Have a beachy day!!
