Good Morning to all.

Up early cooking for daughter, I think she is going camping today. My omelet is in the pan. Hubby person's pizza in the fridge is calling my name.

NO !! I WON'T EAT THE PIZZA. LOL

It's a beautiful morning in the NorthWoods.

Y'all have a good day.

Good AM
New day.
Same story.
Fighting the cravings: Not good.
Desire to loose: Very strong.
Need to eat right for my "sensitivity" issues: Extremely important.
New job: Great !!!
Hubby person birthday: TODAY, he doesn't want cake (diabetic) but wants to go to Applebee's
Very good news: No side effects from new med for high triglycerides. I'm really glad about this.

OK

B - Omelet, SBD P2 muffin, V8, Water
L - Power Lunch

Power Lunch consists of approximately 1 chicken breast, equal parts of chopped celery, and chopped walnuts. Enough MW Lite to make it taste like chicken salad.
I get 15 minutes to wolf it down, but it's packed with protein and seems to keep the hunger pangs away.

I did very well staying with my plan today.

And I have figured out why I have been in such a funk this month. August was always such a fun month for my girls and me. We would go camping for a few weeks in August, we would drive over to Michigan, pick my Mom up in Kalamazoo, and head north to Silver Lake. We would go to the Band Shell in Pentwater for the Clown Band, we would head down to the beach on Lake Michigan at Stony Lake. Wave days are quite fun there. Several visits to the Charles Mears State Park in Pentwater.... Then, on the way home, we would hit the Meijer store for school supplies. Notebooks, pens, sometimes clothes, we could spend a few hours in the Meijer store. It was called Meijer Thrifty Acre Store when I was a kid. Mom died in 1998 (in August while we were camping), ex filed in 2001, the girls got older and were involved in different things. Youngest daughter still isn't speaking to me.

No wonder I've been in a tail spin this month.

I am trying to look forward. I have decided that we are going to hit one of the local fairs this weekend. Only thunder and lighting will keep us away.

So there !!!!!

Take that, and that !!!!!

Back to the Beach (maybe not Lake Michigan this year, but better eating)

Had a good day on the Beach today. I got home from work and watched the end of a preseason game with the man. We won. I am quite hungry and nothing from the Beach to eat.

I could make some hummus if I was inclined to do so.

Hope y'all are doing well.

Heading out to the county fair. Daughter with allergies and I have already made our food to take. Hubby person will probably enjoy the fair food.

>sigh<

Have fun at the Beach this weekend.

I behaved at the fair except for one root beer snow cone. I did not have cotton candy. Or the funnel cake (hubby person had that). He also had a gyros that looked really good, but the spices, onion and cucumber sauce would not have done me any good at all.

Drank plenty of water.

I'm planning a salad with zero fat cottage cheese, lettuce, celery, probably one oz of rf cheddar cheese and one serving of a salad dressing (FF) for dinner tonight.

Hubby person wants a pizza for dinner.

I have to admit that I "feel" so much better when I eat "right". Not just following South Beach, but staying away from foods that I know will bother my digestive system. So hubby person can have his funnel cake and his pizza. And a lot of other things that I really should stay away from. I am on the right track.

I hope y'all are having a good weekend.

Well, I succumbed to a piece of pizza. I was sooo hungry. I only ate one, and I did make a good salad after that.

I weighed myself this morning. Haven't lost, but haven't gained. And that's a good thing.

I know what I am doing wrong.

It's been a super busy week. Daughter has had a bad spell of asthma all week long. I do more food prep/cooking/clean up when things are bad for her. Not complaining, just takes more time. We have to be so very careful with cross contamination. I have officially kicked the hubby person out of the kitchen. He does not get the concept of cross contamination.

I've been doing fairly well with SB, I just haven't thought about weighing myself in the AM's. I'll try to remember tomorrow.

Hope y'all have a good Labor Day Weekend.

New day, new resolve.

Breakfast was late because I waited until daughter with allergies left the house for a while.

Late Breakfast - Omelet with zucchini, 1oz RF (6%) Ched Cheese, one SBD P2 muffin.
V8, coffee, water

Did some errands, hardware store, jewelry store, grocery store. I came home hungry, I'm having leftover cooked zucchini with 1oz RF feta cheese, tossed.
That should hold me until I get a nice salad made for dinner. I am trying to drink more water.
