Fallen off the beach question

Postby freetobeme45 » Tue Aug 10, 2010 2:21 pm

I have been off of the beach for a couple of months now and don't know how to get back on. Do I need to start completely over and do another phase one?

I would. But I'm not that knowledgable as the moderators are.

If you've been off SBD completely, I'd do phase 1 again. That is assuming you're not in one of the groups that should start in phase 2.

BTW, the moderators are not necessarily the greatest experts - we mainly do administrative work like deleting spam and moving posts to the right topic. There are lots of members here who have been on SBD for a long time and can offer good insights. :)

I think rebuilding the foundation of P1 if you have been off for awhile is generally a good idea. Since P2 builds on top of P1, laying a solid foundation before building the final structure always seems like a good idea to me. Whether you need a full 2 weeks of P1 or not might be more of question as maybe a week would be sufficient. If you really, really hated P1, another option might be to consider starting with an early P2 with only 1 fruit and/or 1 starch in your meal plans. I think the best thing is simply to start eating healthier again! If you are still eating healthily in another 6 months or 12 months, I don't think where you started is all that critical. You just have to figure out what gives you the best chance to get you to making this a healthy lifestyle for the long run.
