Good Morning !!!!

I'm baaaack. I was inland from the Beach. I did have a pizza with green olives and pepperoni. And a baked potato. Still, I only gained 0.5 lbs back. Not bad.

I am really trying here. I loved how I felt with just 10 lbs off. My face looked thinner even. I've had a major hair cut (maybe that added to my weight loss). Looks cute, but I still miss the length.

Oh well, off to make some humus for my breaks.

Didn't get humus made today, but made my lunch and snacks for work. Long and late at work today....

B Changed my mind, had two veggi quiches with V8
L - Egg Beater, asparagus, LF provolone, Turkey Bacon
S - celery and Happy Cow Swiss LF
D - salad, celery, chicken, SB Balsamic
S - SB P2 muffin

Hey lady!

Congrats on the 10 pounds, and the new hair cut. Isn't amazing how good and feminine a great new cut can make you feel?

Don't stress too much about the pizza or the potato. I bet you were more aware of what you ate and how much, since changing to a new way of eating. Are you feeling better, or are nuts still giving you problems, I know that tummy aches can make it very difficult to eat properly. Have a good day, and enjoy flaunting you lighter figure!

Thank you ladybugmom for the support. Yes, I've given up on the almonds. Walnuts don't seem to be a problem. And no, I can't eat properly when my stomach is acting up.

I have been trying to come to terms with the fact that I can quit smoking cold turkey, but changing my WOE is so difficult. Although, I have been eating this way for over 50 years.

Anyway, thank you for your encouragement.

Well, Hello all you Beachers. I fell way off the wagon with some heavy duty emo eating since Mothers Day (thanks daughter with the family communication major in college that didn't call  )

I'm trying to head back to the Beach. Baby steps, at least doing more for the diet instead of less.

Keep it up for me.

Bettie- I didn't speak to my mom for a long time. Don't worry she'll come around. I did. Maybe she wants to talk to you, but doesn't know how. Major and all, sometimes things are easier "in theory". Send her an short letter, that says you like her to air her grievances and you think it would be healthy. Tell her to write you back a letter. This will give her time to form arguments and really get all the crap out she's been wanting to say without hearing a rebuttal from you. Hopefully she'll do it, if not, you know you've made an effort.

If she does, realize that a lot of it will be raw emotion and pent up. It may be irrational because she's held it in and thinks you've "known all along" what's bothered her. DO NOT RESPOND. Sit on the letter and think about it. Give it a couple weeks. Then write something back and thank her for her honesty even if it hurts. You may not want to apologize for anything she's upset about and it may not warrant apology, but just being able to get it off her chest will go a long way to fixing the break.

I wish you well. Stay beachy.

Thanks chefk, we've already done the emails back a forth a few times. My oldest believes that youngest and I have the same stubborn personality, which doesn't really help. She is also living with her father (my ex) and he is quite manipulative and has been an emo abuser for years. I know that someday she will come around, but Mothers Day was really hard, and we all know that life can change in a heartbeat. I hope she realizes that sooner rather than later. I know I was (still am) a great Mom.

<sign>

Anyway, I had a late night binge last night. The day is so much easier than the late night.

Good Monday Morning to one an all. My day started out with a telemarketer. He woke me up.
While I was drinking my first cup of strong black coffee, job of interest called to set an appointment for an interview. I must have done a good job answering those 50 personality questions. 'No, I don't think it's OK to steal from your employer' 'No, I don't think anyone should do drugs and come to work'.

Amazing.

Anyway, I haven't been on the Beach. I do try, just not hard enough, I guess.

preB - leftover pepperoni pizza ( I said I wasn't behaving )
B - Egg Beater omelet with LF Feta Cheese

I should get on the scale. Not today.

I wanted to post an update for myself.

I am still not eating right and my stomach is beginning to act up. No, it already is acting up. It hurts tonight.

Hopefully, I'll be starting a new job soon. I want to look good in my new clothes. I want to feel good again.

I need to throw those damn potato chips away.

DAY 1
Restart P1

It's a new day today.

I weighed myself this morning. It's been a very long time since I did that.

180.5

Not as bad as I thought it was going to be. We took my daughters dog to the vet yesterday, I weighed myself there, 176. I think I believe my scale.

I really need to stick to this for me.

Potato chips in trash

Deep breath, here goes.

Black coffee
Egg Beaters, LF Feta Cheese, 1/2 cup asparagus ( my original SBD book says that one serving is 1/2 cup )
Water ( No V8 today - tummy still bad from really spicy potato chips )

Same day, mid projects.
I am frying up some garbanzo beans. Daughter can eat as well, so I use her sunflower oil ( only oil she can use ). Not sure where that stands in the greater SBD theory, but it's necessary. Also cleaned and cut two batches of fresh asparagus ( one of the few veggies she can have as well ). I'm going to clean and cook some chicken breasts. I'll clean up some lettuce, too. I wanted to make some hummus, but I do need to get ready for work, 5 - 10:30 tonight.

All for now.

Black coffee
Egg Beaters, LF Feta Cheese, 1/2 cup asparagus ( my original SBD book says that one serving is 1/2 cup )
Water ( No V8 today - tummy still bad from really spicy potato chips - Lay's, you really can't eat just one )

fixed a snack for work, celery and a Laughing Cow light original Swiss

Fixed a kind of plain salad to eat before work.
Lettuce, chicken, celery and LF cheese stick cut up. One Tablespoon canola oil with a few drops of real lemon juice.

And off to work I go

For those who choose to read my journal, for now I think I'll update my daily ( if that ) post but list my food through a second post on the same date. I am still trying to figure out this decade and part of that is online journaling.

Having said that, I am quite proud of myself for my eating choices today. I was on the cash register for quite a bit tonight and way to many people were buying Pepperidge Farm cookies and candy. Not to mention fun snacks for camping this 4th of July weekend. I stuck with my celery snack and was not tempted by the vending machine in the break room. I am quite tired, but that has just as much to do with lack of sleep as it does probably cutting my calorie intake by half.

Good night all you Beachers. I hope your days were as successful as mine.

Once again, a busy Mom/Wife morning. Today I work 2 - 11.

B - Black Coffee
Omelet ( From now on I'm just going to use the term "Omelet". I make my omelets with Egg Beaters, 1 T Canola oil, 1 oz RF Feta cheese and 1/2 cup asparagus.)
V8
Water with vitamin pile

L - Ice burg lettuce, chicken, 1 stick Crystal Farms RF motz, 1 T canola oil
and wait, Black Coffee

and for later at work
S - Celery and 1 stick Crystal Farms RF motz
D - Chicken Salad a la Bettie ( chicken, celery, 1T Miracle Whip )
S - One SB Living Mocha bar ( I know it's P2 )

hopefully after work
S - 1 cup decaf tea ( need to buy ) and 1 SBD P2 muffin

Just a note: I am trying to stick to P1 to restart my system, but with food sensitivities and foods I just don't like as well as daughters allergies, I am integrating in some P2 foods.

I have a new job. For 17 years, I was a stay at home Mom. And I loved it.

First, I must say that I live in a small town area of Northern Wisconsin. I'm not exactly sure what the population is, but in my little city there are about 3500 people that live here. There aren't that many choices for jobs, and since I have moved a lot for the men in my life, retail is about it for me.

I've been working at Walmart for 8 months now, and while there are good things about working at Walmart I am not happy to be on the second shift. I don't remember signing up for second shift and every weekend.

Anyway.

I have a new job at the JCPenney store here in town. I am looking forward to better hours and a different environment.
