I'M HERE!!!!!

Sorry I've been MIA for a while. I haven't had the chance to get online. There is a little cafe with WiFi that I found. So, hopefully I can check in on my white time.

I have been busy and sweating my a** off. I am so not used to this TX weather and climate. I ran for 30 minutes yesterday and did some suspended sit ups and one arm machine.

Tonight, I'm going back with a couple of the guys to get in another nice workout.

I am in charge of a command cook out tomorrow, so that should be fun!

I've been eating MRE's and DFAC food. I'm really trying to make good choices, but sometimes its really hard to keep eating the same salad or veggies. They serve a lot of bad starches (potatoes, rice, noodles). But, since we are expending so many calories, I've been eating them at least once a day. I've been snacking on fruit as often as possible and the only thing I drink is water and sometimes a Gatorade with my meal.

Anyway, I better go for now. I don't have time to hit up all the journals, but please know I'm thinking about you!

Love you all!!!!!!!! xoxoxoxoxoxo

Lisa, Jeff, thanks for stopping by!

Things have been super busy, as you would expect. I'm part of the MWR (recreation) group, and we're getting 130 people pizza and soda tomorrow night (early Memorial Day celebration). During the day, we're holding different game competitions (platoon v. platoon). It should be a nice time.

I am doing Land Navigation on Saturday (by foot). I'm trying to save my energy and muscles for it! I am battling a sunburn (my own d*mn fault), too.

I haven't gotten 100% confirmation, but I think I am going to do Combat Life Saver course. It starts Sunday and runs through Wednesday. I am excited, as this is the class I really wanted to take part in.

I know this is short, but I'm tired. Time for bed. I'll pop back in when I can.

Whoa, do I have one heck of a farmer's tan going on...haha!

We completed our Land Nav course in just over 2 hours - not bad considering we had the LONGEST course out of everyone.

I started Combat Life Saver course yesterday. It's a four day, first responder type course for military personnel. It's really cool and I'm learning a lot. I have to study here in a bit.

I finally made it to the DFAC (dining facility) for dinner tonight. I had a fried fish square and a big bowl of cucumber slices and another big bowl of fresh broccoli, cauliflower, and mushrooms. YUM! (I had a big glass of skim milk with a shot of LF chocolate as well... :D ) We did raid the softserve machine as well (it was so worth it)!

I have huge blisters on my heels right now, so I'm slowly nursing those better.

I got to Skype with DH and DS the other day, so that was nice. I just talked to them on the phone prior to logging on here, and it was good to hear their voices.

With that, I better roll out. Take care and I'll post again when some more eventful things happen.

Hey B!! Glad to hear things are going well for you out there with the exception of sunburn

Eh em, I think that with all that you are doing is why they're giving you so much starch. You are now armed with tools to make better decisions when it comes to your food intake but you're also burning lots and lots so make sure you're healthy first :!: :!: :!: We want you to come back here with only stories to tell but safe and healthy

Keep us posted on progress. I've been MIA for a few weeks but i'm back, hitting other journals before I update mine. Missed you guys... Take good care of B~ please and thank you  8) :D (sunscreen :P )

Hi Wanda, thank you for stopping by! I know that they feed us the carbs because we're busy and very active, but sometimes I just can't eat them because I know I shouldn't. For example, today I at totally SB at lunch, except for my cup of ice cream. heh heh

I finished CLS class and had a blast. I don't know if any of you are on Facebook, but look me up. I've posted TONS of pictures and movie clips.

I did HEAT (HUM-V roll over) training last night, which totally rocked. We were flipped and tossed and had to get our way out of a flipped HUM-V (on its roof and on its side). It reminded me of an unsafe rollercoaster. LOL I'm glad we did it.

I'm getting ready to go PT and do some self defense training with a few of the guys and then I'm off to another class at 6pm tonight.

Anyway, I should actually get going for now. I'll come back and post when I can!
