A Woman of Many Hats

Postby purenavygirl » Fri May 07, 2010 8:34 pm

Captain Morgan Tattoo is a spiced rum and it reminds me of a cherry and/or licorice flavor. Don't let it's dark black color throw you off.

I don't care for Jaegermeister (sp?) - so when I say licorice, don't think of it being that strong.

My cocktail was easy.

Mix the following in a big glass/cup with lots of ICE:

12 oz of Coke Zero
1.5 oz Capt Morgan Tattoo (as the night went on I think I was mixing around 2-3 oz in... :P)

Variation:
12 oz Coke Zero
1.5 oz Tattoo
1.5 oz Cruzan Vanilla Rum

If that's too much vanilla for you, I would try 1 oz Cruzan mixed with 2 oz Tattoo.

It's all on based on your preferences.

I prefer the Tattoo straight up with the Coke.

But either way is yummy.

***Wanda - I'm not quite that much of a LUSH - it was half of a fifth!***

(If I drank an entire fifth, my a** would've been handed to me on a sliver platter the next day...)

Ladies, I just wanted to pop in and say thank you for the birthday wishes.

My parents and best friend took me out for Red Lobster last night. Yummy! I had the grilled shrimp with pecans and the garlic cream grilled shrimp with a salad, broccoli and rice pilaf. I did eat the cake and ice cream they brought me... I'm sweeted out for a while now!

I had a couple of cocktails with my friend when we got back to my place since DH was working last night. It was a good time. Very relaxing and enjoyable.

I'm off to pack. Yes, I've been procrastinating BIG time. My stuff is all in a pile on my bedroom floor. So, I guess I'm halfway there. haha DS just laid down for a nap and DH works til 4 pm. I should have plenty of time to get my act together!

I won't be back on until God knows when, so here's to LIFE on the BEACH! Even though I really haven't cheated yet today, I'm going to enjoy whatever foods come my way. heh heh Tomorrow, I am going to start back on a mid-P2 diet as much as possible. I don't know how friendly the airport food will be, but at least I can give it a try.

Take care and I will pop back in as soon as I can.

*BIG HUGS*

***Wanda - I'm with ya! I know what you meant. Was just givin' ya a hard time. heh heh :D***

I made it to Gulfport. Have to be ready to go at 0600 tomorrow.

Just wanted to let ya'll know that despite the long travel day, nothing went absurdly wrong. I am just happy to have my seabag end up on the same flight at me!

I am staying off base in a hotel with free WiFi, so I will be on as much as possible with updates this week. (Nothing exciting!)

I did good on my foods today with the exception of McD's for dinner. I got in soooooo late and I have no car. I walked across the street to Wally World and McD's was the closest food joint. I stocked up on some healthier stuff for this week, so I should have no reason to grab junkie snacks. (I hoarked down some fresh mozzarella balls when I got back from Wally World...heh heh)

With that, I really need to get going. Time to iron my uniforms for tomorrow and hit the hay. I am exhausted - only 4 hours of sleep last night. I've been up since 0230. (Minus the cat nap on my flight from Chicago to Dallas-Ft. Worth... :))

B, wish I would've known you were coming through Chi-Town; could have met ya at the airport! Sure it was a brief touch down so it's all good. Happy to read the travels are going well for you too. I, for one, can relate to your bags being on the same flight

Your spirits sound good. No worries about eating a meal off plan as you've counter-planned an attack. And for me, proper preparation prevents poor performance (5 P's!). You're going to be so very active, we may be yelling at your for lack of food is my guess :P

Take care of you Lady and keep us posted!

Hi Everyone!

It's late here, so I won't be on very long...

Today's been good. I ate granola and V8 for breakie. I had blackened fish, broccoli and a salad for lunch. I had a few sharp cheddar wedges after work. I mounted the E-Beast for 30 minutes and hit the dreadmill for another 15 minutes this evening. I just got back from a Sushi bar = OMG! YUM!

I did have some peanut butter / cheddar crackers this morning.

Overall, I feel good and I've finally got a stash of water. I had a terrible headache today (I think from not enough water). I'm making sure that doesn't happen. I laugh, cause I have to pee really bad right now!

Jeff - Thanks for stopping by! I usually get a salad, but I was at a McD's attached to a WalMart and I don't think they had salads. (???)

Lisa - Yep, I'm good. Going to do my best to get back into good habbits before I leave here and head to TX. I heard that we'll lose some weight while in training. So, maybe that'll jumpstart me to my goal weight. heh heh

G'night!

Woo hoo, Beth, sounds like you hit your stride there! Good food, exercise and training - the REAL boot camp, to drop wt! Can I enlist too?.... :-)
Keep up everything just the way you are doing. You can easily get dehydrated in a hot place, esp if you are exercising, so yes, do drink more water! That can definitely explain your headache!

Thinking of you! and look, I am BACK! Starting w the hunk of a trainer again this morning.

Top of the morning to ya B! Ok, so are you there already? I ask because you mention return to TX. Clarification please and thank you.

Sounds to me like you're right back to your routine and happy you have a plan for things including water. I'd agree with Judi and if you don't drink water like that normally, you will be peeing your little self quite a bit for about a week or so

Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday and take care of you today please and thank you  8) :D

I'm in Mississippi right now. I'll be heading to TX next. There will be an intermediate stop mid-summer for me to go home and then I'll come back to TX for a few days before hittin' the REAL sand.

Things are going good. I haven't exercised since Tuesday, but I'm staying busy and trying to eat right. I just realized I haven't eaten ANY fruit this week. I have been loading up on the veggies and trying to eat a little granola at breakie.

Anyway, I better go. Time to go eat dinner with the group. MEXICAN - yummy!!!

Love you all!

Beth, your bootcamp sounds like a great vacation to me! I am starting to suspect you enlisted to run away from home and have a little fun with no kids in tow ;-)

Enjoy yourself, don't forget the sunscreen, and being that you do whatever you can to be healthty there, I would say you have a good situation, girl! Do they want to add a dermatologist to the group? :-)

Thinking of you
