Any women who have had success at starting weight under 130?

Postby minimalistrose » Mon Jan 18, 2010 4:41 am

Hey,

I keep reading success stories with people who are a bit heavier than I and I'm wondering if anyone has had success on the diet when being a bit smaller? I have been on phase 1 for a week and haven't lost a pound, I mean I've cheated a couple times but nothing more than a couple extra nuts or some extra jello (sugar free of course).

I was only walking a day for 30 minutes and I've stepped it up to strength training and then cardio every other day because I know when you are smaller its definitley harder to lose. Also, the eating plan in the book couldn't possibly work the same for someone who is 200 pounds and someone who is 120 pounds right? Wouldn't the smaller of the two maybe gain weight by eating the same exact thing as the 200 pounder? IM JUST SO CONFUSED!

So could you tell me what you have been doing in terms of eating, meals and excersise? What do I do! Help

If you have less to lose it just takes longer is all. It's just healthy eating when you get to P2, and the focus of P1 is normalizing blood sugars and building a foundational meal plan to build upon in P2. Weight loss if there is any, is a pleasant side effect but not the real purpose of P1 to begin with. This isn't a short term, quick fix program. It works best with longevity and consistency and when you adopt it as your healthy eating program for life.

Hey,

Iam facing the same problem! I have 114 pounds but I used to have 106. I am 11 days in P1 and I can´t loose anything, even I am trying really hard. I am not sure if you want to try or whether you are still in progress with SB but if you would like to join SB together, I would be happy!!!

Anyone that reaches their goal weight has at one time only been 5-10lbs overweight. The close you get to your ideal weight, the slower weight comes off.

You might also want to join in with this group topic in the P2 area: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=98948

It's a group of people who are in a similar position, making the last push through the final 5-15 lbs to get to where they want to be.

In your particular case, I wouldn't have an expectation of losing more than 1-2 lbs in P1 if anything at all. That doesn't mean it isn't "working" as the goal is helping to reset your body chemistry and you are likely accomplishing that just by following the program.
