***pick Beth up & dusts off the sand*** Sup B! You're not the only one who's strayed away from the Beach and of all of us, you have a reason to so it's all good. Just don't leave us here on the Beach alone 8)

You have inspired me to begin our home projects. My first thing to get done is our kitchen and yard. I'd like to re-do the cabinets, re-tile the floor and possibly re-paint then the entire yard requires attention  We've been in the house for 2yrs and when we got there it was in pretty bad condition and we've brought it back to life but still needs work. Hope the carpet got laid correctly today and you got to prime the closet last night before they laid it. Sure you will have the yard together before the party, if I know you at all :D

I missed one class on Sunday and ended up doing 3 yesterday. Wasn't my intent, just kinda happened and today my body is paying for it! Going to hit Wednesday and Friday morning class at 6:15am too. I'll make sure to keep up with our pact until you return.

Wishing you a Great day today  8) :D

Postby purenavygirl » Tue Apr 27, 2010 1:59 pm

Hi Lisa, yes I'm starting to get anxious. It's hard because I've been spending so much time with DH and DS that it's going to make it harder to leave. However, I wouldn't give my extra time that I've spent with them up for anything in the world.

Wanda, my dear! I'd never leave you on the Beach alone. I'm just allowing myself a few extra little cheats until I leave, with the knowledge that I'm not leaving the Beach for good and that my weight will probably stall (which is fine with me). The carpet installers are going to be here at 11 am, so I'm doing some laundry and getting our tornado of a kitchen cleaned up. I did get one closet primed last night, and I'll do the other after the carpet is in. I was just getting tired and running out of time. But, I tell you what, my arms/shoulders/quads/calves are feeling it this morning. Nothing like climbing up and down a ladder, bending over to get paint on the roller and painting every angle of a closet! Yippee for untraditonal workouts! I'm rollin' with ya!

Hi there beth! Everyone falls off, i know i did for a week or two straight and just now am climbing back on bored. Its truly great getting to spend all that time with them, those are the moments you'll look back on and smile, in comparison to the beating yourself up at the gym :D

A Woman of Many Hats

Postby purenavygirl » Wed Apr 28, 2010 2:38 pm

I'm holding steady at 155 lbs since last week... I haven't been updating my signature (I have seen 153 twice, but as you all know, I go up and down a few pounds quite a bit.)

I finished painting one closet last night and primed the other one. I will finish painting it today while DH puts the shelving back into the finished closet. We're going to pick up our bedroom furniture and kitchen table w/ hutch today as well. I'm excited, I think it's going to look very nice. I just hope it doesn't get beat up while I'm gone! :P

My muscles are so sore today from painting. I'm happy that I'll be done after today. I'll consider that my workout, fo' sure!

Despite the fact that I'm not eating junk, I really need to get all my items in each day. I'm finally back on track with my veggies, but I need to get my dairy in and at least once piece of fruit. My goal for today, be 100% Beachy. (1-2 pieces of fruit, 2 grains, 2-3 C dairy, a serving of beans, 4.5 C veggies and my good fat (probably will be EVOO)

I know it sounds simple, but I needed to type it out. I've been so busy with all these at home projects that I'm not really that hungry and I've been skipping snacks. I they aren't required, but they do help me with my daily servings!

My other goal is to spend some QT with DS. We've been so busy trying to get ready for this party that he's not getting the 1 on 1 time he deserves. I feel badly, but on the other had, we have things that NEED to get done as well. I'm hoping that tonight I can sit down and read a few books with him and maybe snuggle on the couch and watch a movie of his choice. I'm sure he'd enjoy that! (We did go and fly his kite last night for a little bit - he let go of the string and it flew until it got tangled in our tree...)

Jeff - Hi! Nice to see you back! I guess I can say I didn't fall off for 2 weeks, but you workout and have the drive that you were back with us as soon as you made your mind up! I'm sure you just missed all of us sexy beach babes! And yes, I am trying to enjoy more time with my family. I'm finished with work and I feel like I work more! haha Not much of a vacation. But, the party thing is consuming a lot of our time, so as of Sunday, it will be more QT with the family. (Plus, some addtional goals for DS stated above. :D)

Well, I'm off to hang some clothes on the line. Have a Wonderful Wednesday!!!

Beth, how are you?

I am stealing a minute to stop by and give you a BIG HUG!!!!!

I actually hit 163 for real, no wishful thinking, this morning. 6 days after the party, but close enough! I am thrilled. I know you know what I mean. I think I am just going to bask in this for a little while before pushing on.

You are a champ- you are now pretty close to a good goal wt for you, and you are healthy! What could be better! Your deployment will start on the best of terms, and you just keep up w the effort over there ("there", you know what I mean).

Will be looking to hear from you

xoxo

Top of the morning to ya B!! Glad to read you won't leave me/us alone because we'd all miss you deeply :(

You're getting lots done and hope that you find time to relax, release and relate in between. Once the party is over and home projects are done, you'll still have a few days to seriously chillax so hope you take full advantage of that time. Yes, DS needs his time so try to incorporate the things that 'need' to be done and include him. Even if it's packing and he's handing things to you instead of folding. Just trying to think of things to make it easier all while spending QT.

Your menu has the Kashi Go Lean cereal listed. Which one do you prefer? I LOVE the crunch and now crisp which is new and is toasted berry crumble...uuuummm uuuummm. Top yogurt or eat it plain and just as happy as a pig in s%$t  !

Wishing you a terrific Thursday and hope you're taking care of Beth today please and thank you  :D 8)

Hey Beth!!! I can't believe I've been away so long that you are going to deploy so soon! It feels like yesterday when you posted that you had found out you were going. Well, hopefully you'll be able to keep in touch. In any case I tried to catch up in your journal and see how you are doing. Sounds like things are crazy right now and I applaud you for any mediocre of SB you can maintain. I have no excuses and have had days like you!! So keep going and we'll do this together!

A Woman of Many Hats

Postby purenavygirl » Sat May 01, 2010 1:17 pm

Hi Jen, welcome back to the forums. I don't have much time, but I wanted to say hello back.

Well, today's the big day and it's soooooo frickin' sh*tty outside! T-storms forecasted ALL day. Ugh. :x

Yesterday wasn't really that Beachy. I started off okay, but kinda went downhill. Anything from a few donuts to some candy. Frozen pizza with DH at midnight. I had some healthy things in between, but nothing exceptional.

Today, well, it's 9:15 am and I haven't eaten yet. Getting ready to grab something and try to stay good until the food tonight. Say a little prayer for me that the weather clears up. I don't have room for that many people in my house!

Love you all... Will be back once the wave of being busy is over. Catch ya on the flip side.

Hi Beth!

I WISH you GOOD WEATHER!!!! In NY, it's really nice and warm today! I forgot where you live- where do you live? In any case, don't worry- people will scatter all through the place and all will be well. Once I had over 100 people in my apt (2 bedrooms...) and everyone managed. Tight and cozy.

I think just don't worry about SB until after the party- too much stuff going on will make you go off. You can get it together once you can chillax, to quote Wanda's fave word (now mine too!)

Wishing you a GREAT time tonight, no matter what the weather!

Hi'ya B! Ssssoooo how was the party? Hoping you truly got to enjoy the company even if the weather didn't play in your favor.

I've been instructed to slow down on the classes so only taking 2 this week...well 3 tomorrow. Got some major aches but not distracted. Will rest my body & get back to routine next week. All this guilt free, can you believe it??!!

You're probably packing away & getting those moments in with DS & DH so wish you a wonderful day. Beth I will be praying for your safety while deployed & for your speedy return (I know you have a date but hope it's bumped up!). When you get up & running on the laptop, make sure to email me when you can. Now I have it on the phone so can check frequently...actually typing from it now :-)

Take good care of Beth today please & thank you!!

Hi Ladies!!!

Just a quick note to let you know I'm still alive and kickin' it. I'm not being very Beachy this week. Today, I made up my mind I'm going to be good since my birthday is tomorrow and I know I'll celebrate a little bit. :P

The party went well and the clouds held their rain! Praise our Lord! I don't know how many people actually showed up, but it was quite a bit! The bounce house was the best investment = the kiddies had a blast and the adults didn't have to watch them so closely. We all took turns periodically checking in on them to make sure nothing rotten was going on. You parents out there know what I'm talking about. I was busy and on my feet most of the night, but got a lot of time to visit with different people. I found my new poison (besides Patron Silver). Captain Morgan Tattoo. OMG = YUM! I drank it with Coke Zero all night. My friend had some vanilla rum and I mixed it with Tattoo once or twice. That was pretty good, too. Long story short, I drank about a fifth of alcohol by myself. 70 proof. No hangover the next day, but unGodly tired, as we went to bed very late and didn't get much sleep.

With that, I better get going. I still have lots to do (including start packing...heh heh). My house is cleaned up and the spare bedroom is ready for the girls that will be babysitting while I'm gone. So, that's a relief. It's time for some "me" time. (I swear, becoming a parent/spouse really changed me... I put all things for myself to the end. No wonder I stay so busy and get a little stressed at times!)

Love you all, I'll send emails to those of you that sent your addy to me.

I will stay in touch on here as well. I plan to stick the SB WOE as much as possible while I'm on this deployment.

Hi Beth
So the party was a success! What's in the Tattoo, rum? Sounds tempting!
A very happy birthday to you! Many happy returns! A safe return from the Middle East! And you do have my addy so pls, keep in touch. Don't want to lose you, girl!
Take care of yourself and yes, take some "me" time. We don't do that during motherhood too often. Maybe a mistake. Happy mothers are better mothers.
When are you leaving? Let me tell you- pack mostly for hot weather, w one or two jackets/tops for night time chills. It will be HOT over there!
