Happy Hump Day Beth! I sure hope your last day was one to remember. I'm sure they will miss you while you're gone but look forward to your return :D

Your menu always looks so good and planned out; we all know I don't possess that skill at all  I too am happy we made the pact and got up this morning and went to a class and THEN went again this afternoon 8) They were introducing a new Turbo Kick Round and didn't get there yesterday due to cosmo consumption, lol. And so is life and got right back on the horse today (Big Picture). Please know you, Lisa & Jeff keep me on my toes in the E-department. When I was doing the butterfly with weights in Hardbody this morning, I thought about how you type:
purenavygirl wrote:I also did all of the arm weights, except the butterfly machine,
and giggled to myself

Now what will you be doing up until D-Day? Hoping your plan is to take care of Beth 8)

Beth my dear-

Thank you for the cheerleading. You have such great energy around you, I always enjoy your spirit. You are lucky not to have to deal w the self sabotage thing- I wish I would know how to make things this EASY! Wish you COULD send some of yourself my way- but you do in what and how you write. So I am reading, thinking and listening, and trying to learn. Yes, all the little slips are the culprit, I guess I just have to learn to be more principles, as opposed to being self critical.

I am proud of you and how you do everything, btw food and exercise!

A Woman of Many Hats

Postby purenavygirl » Thu Apr 15, 2010 7:20 pm

Hi Ladies!!! (and Jeff, whenever you decide to return to us!)

So, I had one h*ll of a busy night last night. I went out after work for a few cocktails to celebrate my last day at work. I had a cranberry and vodka and a glass of red wine. I was home by 7 pm. I had to pack all my stuff for Drill and also empty out the closet so DH could rip the remaining old carpet out and get ready for our new carpet. (I'll be painting them early next week and the new carpet should be installed late next week...) I finally got up to Toledo around 12:20 am this morning and hit the hay around 12:35 am. Ugh!

With that being said, I felt a little guilty for all the junk food I had at work and was a little slow from the cocktails. Not being that hungry and not having to feed DS (he was at the DGP's house) I ended up with a Santosha Smoothie for dinner. It filled me up and I got me veggies in!

This morning, we did volleyball for PT. I ran around and sweated a little. I'm glad I didn't overdo it since I'm running PRT tomorrow.

I weighed in at 153 lbs this morning! Yippee! Back down to my lowest since I've started walkin' the Beach. I'm happy. Now, I just need to kick some PRT booty tomorrow.

Judi - Thank you for such a lovely compliment! You're such a good person, too. We all have our goods and our bads! I'm happy that you get on here and lay it on the line. It's a good way to approach and recognize your problems/issues. Plus, it is theraputic and a good way for some free psychology! All the comments/opinions/advice is great! Plus, it makes you think and try to see things from another perspective.

Wanda - You go on that butterfly machine! I really don't care for it, so maybe you can make up for the both of us? I'm going to be helping out with some projects and stuff around the house in the next few weeks. Just utilize the time to spend time with DH and DS. I need to start getting my gear together and make sure all my paperwork is ready for deployment. I will be keeping up my exercising, and hopefully getting more in! I would love to hit my next mini goal of 149 lbs before I leave. Since I'll be at home, I should be able to stick to SB fairly well and just chillax. So, yes, I will be taking care of Beth!

I'll catch you guys tomorrow! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox

A Woman of Many Hats

Postby purenavygirl » Fri Apr 16, 2010 2:53 pm

I think I've edited my post like 10 times today. heh heh I've been busy, but I'm breaking in the wireless and my new laptop at the hotel I stay at on Drill weekends. I had a good day = fairly productive. I passed my PRT - Wanda, I got down pretty d*mn close to my bootcamp time!!!! I was able to run it in 90 seconds less than when I started timing myself a few weeks ago. I feel soooo accomplished!

So, I had about 4 beers this evening. I haven't had beer in forever and a day. I had a tiny buzz going, but let it go since I need to get up and get ready for another fine Navy day tomorrow. Plus, beer is fattening and I probably drank too many for SB purposes. Not to mention, we're going to go out booze hounding tomorrow night.

Christin, Lisa, Thank you for stopping by! I could babble more, but I need to get my a** in bed! I'll see you on the Beach soon! 8)

A Woman of Many Hats

Postby purenavygirl » Tue Apr 20, 2010 1:37 am

Hi there! I can't believe it's already after 9 pm on Monday. Time has a way of flying in my Life. I'm sure most of your lives as well...

I haven't done anything in the form of exercise since PRT on Friday morning. I did dance the night away on Saturday and that must of included some type of head banging, because the back of my neck is still sore today. I guess I do walk around A LOT at Drill. Today, I hand dug out a circle around one of our fruit trees to get it ready for mulch. (I still have 4 more to go...)

My food choices definitely haven't been the best. I did my best over Drill with the exception of Saturday night. I didn't post yesterday, but for "bad" things, I did have a bagel, a few scones and pizza for dinner.

Today, I've been "ok". I did have a few cheats, but I'll get over it. I'm due for TOM any day now and I feel that inner food beast looming. It's funny, I think now that I'm doing this WOE, TOM makes me want sweets more than I ever used to. What's up with that?!?!

I really should get going. I have a TON of rhubarb that we picked today and I need to chop and put it into bags for future use. Plus, I need to finish DS's evening routine.

Michelle - *huggers* Yep, you still have a bean bomb! It's yours and always will be. Thanks for stopping by; it's so good to see you back!

Judi - Thanks for checking in! I'm here, plugging away as usual. Not looking forward to my weigh in, as I feel like a total pig on some of my choices since Saturday. However, I'm working through it and once my neck feels better, I will be back on the E-TRAIN! I hope to stop by yours and other journals soon. xoxox

WHOOT WHOOT!! 1) 153lb 2) 90sec less at PRT You Go Beth with ya bad self 8) :D I'm so proud of you Lady for taking care of you

Point of clarification. I do not use the butterfly machine  In Hardbody, we take the weights and stand, knees slightly bent and raise the weights to do the butterfly; also lay on our backs on the board to do them. They aren't my favorite but one of the easier reps in the class, if that says anything. There's this 'serve the tray' that I HATE and would rather do the military press before serving of the damn tray. And so is life, eh?!

Haven't been beachy over the weekend either so have to get myself back on the horse today; tried yesterday and was alright up until dinner. Hoping you got all that gardening done and getting things done around the house. Do Not wait until the last minute to pack either. Even if you pack something each day, do so please. This will allow your anxiety to lower when the day nears and you can enjoy the time with DH & DS instead of spassing about having everything you need. Just my take on it.

Wishing you a great day today!
