Hi'ya Deb!! Congrats on the loss! That's gotta feel awesome knowing you were on vacation and still remained focused and able to drop something and it not be the kitchen spoon

Glad to hear DD is doing better but another tooth?! Good thing is that they should be all in sooner than later at that rate of entry.

I'm here is you all need me regarding the drama queenism. No manual just lots and lots of good stories  Wishing you a marvelous Monday, all my love :D

Hey Wanda - I was impressed that I still lost while in Edmonton............go me!!
DDs teeth are doing ok and she's experimenting with using them................on me!! The little turkey tries to get me all the time now...........she is sleeping a bit better off and on.
My last 2 days haven't been very beachy...............I'm not sure why but I just have been on kind of a snacking thing all day rather than meals like normal. Nothing has happened to trigger this but tomorrow I will be more focused on getting back on the beach.
We are having DD#2 dedicated at church (scomparable to a baptism) on Sunday and I'm pretty excited! It takes a bit of planning as we are having a bunch of people over after for lunch. It will be great to see them all and have them take part in this celebration for my daughter.
I was thinking this week about how long it has been since I've seen certain friends and family and I always use the excuse that I have 2 little kids and it's hard for me.............well, I've realized that's just a cop out and I need to go and see the people who mean something to me and my family. So next weekend we are off to see a whole lot of family (aunts, uncles and cousins on both sides of my family) but there will be a 75th bday party for my aunt in there as well. I haven't seen her since before I got married (and children) and I'm thrilled to be able to get out there and see her. It will be a tremendous amount of driving for me and the kids (DH will be working) but well worth it I'm sure! I just got DH to bring home a portable DVD player yesterday so I can remain sane throughout this trip. It is 5 hours straight through one way. So for me and the kids that should be about....................8 or so.
Then the next weekend we are off to see my girlfriend that I went to university with. She lives about 4 hours away and has recently moved into their first house (from a trailer). They have 3 kids - twin girls that are 4 and a boy that is 5 1/2. My DD#1 will be in heaven with 2 girls to play with!! I chatted with her last night and there were 4 of us in university that were inseparable and I don't know that I would be the person I am or been able to do what I have done without those girls (sniff) and we are looking into a camping trip this sumemr that we can all meet up somewhere. It comes down to money for a couple of them so we will need to plan something a bit low key but fun nonetheless. I am so thrilled because one of them I have not seen since my wedding almost 4 years ago! 3 of us live in Saskatchewan and one lives in BC.
Anyway, I have just had this stuff floating around in my head and thought I would share. I will be back full force on the beach tomorrow!!
I hope everyone has had a great week and have a wonderful weekend!! The temperatures out this way are so nice!! I could have almost gone outside in a t-shirt today. It was +8...........yay March!! (ok, maybe long sleeve t-shirt  )
Oh ya, I dropped another lb this week!!!!! Woohoo!! That means 41.5 lbs gone and 7 lbs to go!!

Yay Deb!! Sounds like you are doing fabulous! Congrats on the weight loss and being so close to goal. It feels good!!!

Glad you are reconnecting with friends and family. I found it a little lonely and isolating when the kids were little, trying to find time for friends. I've always been so good at planning the social scene my whole life, but not when the kids were small. But it gets easier as they grow and I'm back full force now. Recent planning is a huge girls cruise in November for my 40th b-day... FUN TIMES!!

Can sympathize with the teething. That goes away too very soon. DS lost 2 teeth this week and last night the tooth fairy almost forgot to show up (LOL)> This morning he told me he saw me take his tooth... Man!!!! Hope you have a great weekend and all that driving is good. We too use the DVD player for long drives. It really helps!! Have a great and sane weekend. 8)

Deb YOU GO GIRL on the loss!!! 41.5lbs down has to feel Great so Go You

So you and Lisa have small kids but mine is now 16 and still sometimes don't find/have the time to visit friends (which are as close as 45mins away  ). This year I vowed to make the time and plan out visits. The month of March every weekend i've had somewhere/something to do. Today is visit our friends that just had a baby, then head out to my friends in IN; next weekend I volunteer for the 8k and the following weekend heading to WI to visit another friend. For me it's about planning and sounds like you're doing just that so kudos and good luck to ya!

Take good care of your and hope you have a great Saturday ahead of you

I am doing ok at the moment. I maintained for this week so that's ok. I didn't entirely eat "beachy" so that is not a big surprise!! I have been doing ok. My DD@ has a viral infection again.............so she has been up sporadically in the night again (2-6 or 7x/night)!! I go back to work in 6 weeks and I'm scared that I will never get any sleep again!!
I pray to God every night that my family gets a good sleep!
Have a great week!

Deb, you may have to teach them how to sleep. I know we've had this discussion before. The book "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child" or the other way around is a really awesome book. Anyway, hope you all get healthy again soon and get back on the beach.

I just got back tonight from visiting my family 5 hours drive away from me (7 hours with the girls). My hubby had to work so I did this one solo. The girls and I had a fantastic time but my butt is dragging severely tonight. I am off to bed so I will write more tomorrow when I can think a little more clearly..................goodnight all. :D

Hello All, I am doing well. Lisa- the car ride was good and the portable DVD player is worth it's weight in Gold!! It was incredible!! And she would do whatever I asked to be able to watch it..................well worth the effort to buy one!! The 5 hour drive took 7 with the kids but we stopped and visited a couple of people and the kids got a chance to get out and play. Anyway, our weekend was filled with visiting with family (aunts, uncles and cousins) that I haven't seen since I got married 3 1/2 years ago (at the most recent). Some of the family we were able to see I haven't seen in 10 years or more! It was really great!! Nobody out there have met my kids so that was exciting! My kids played their little hearts out and had everyone's attention, of course.
My aunt that celebrated her 75th bday got to see a low income seniors place last Saturday and loved it so she is going to be moving in this Sunday!! She thought it was quite nice and is ready and willing to move off the farm! I am so thrilled for her! This is a big step. (Her husband just passed away a month ago.)
Anyway, all is good in my world..........not as beachy as it could have been but good. :D

Morning Deb! Glad to read your trip with the kids went well and you got to see your family. That is awesome and time does fly by so quickly that you don't even realize how long it has actually been. Also happy to read that the portable DVD player worked wonders for you! We have a 16yr old and she too Loves it but we've had one since she was younger too and know the benefits of it :P

Wishing you a terrific Thursday and hope you're taking good care of Deb today

ah yes, the portable DVD player is a wonderful invention. We only pull it out for long car rides, not just regular trips. Keeps it special and works like a charm. So happy to hear you had such a good time and a successful trip with your girls.
