Ford Windstar. Surprised me when it shot forward from me just barely putting on the break.I was half in ditch and half out. The helper guy put a rope on my van and i got in to start it up. before I could he moved and something gave a loud pop. Then I slid to my right and started turning over into the ditch. I had put my seatbelt on ,thank God. I ended up on my side. I had to release the seatbelt to get out. When I did I fell hard onto the passenger side of the van.I got help out and up the ditch and was driven home. I was in shock but had my wits about me. I kept saying I wanted to get my purse things. I knew I had money, medcaid cards, SS cards, and other important papers.I did get my purse and didn't lose any info.

Last night I had a scratch on my right ankle and a small cut on my knee, otherwise i was in shock and out of breath. today I have bruises on my right leg and sore arms and back (probably from falling out of the seatbelt). But much better off than if I didn't have seatbelt on.I probably would've hurt my head, being flung around.

No I didn't go to hospital or have ambulance check me out. I was bruised and in minor shock. They would only give me IB..I take hydrocodone for pain so i have better stuff than they would give me. i took valium last night to calm down. It helped. Now just dealing with minor bruises. Arms are sore but not bruised, back either. only leg is bruised. I think I hit it on door/window handle.

Happy Valentines Day Babes!
So, what did I miss with all the drug stuff posts? Are those real? Anyway, it is a beautiful snowy morning, and still coming down fairly hard! I splurged at Sprouts and bought crab legs and lobster tails for dinner tonight! Actually, they had such great prices it was barely a splurge!
I am giving myself the day off from workout today, I was up almost the entire night. I stopped looking at the clock at 4:00 am. I do not know what is going on here! I exercise every single day, and am pretty active all day long. This getting older is rough!
You all enjoy your love day today!

Greetings everyone-

I "encouraged" my husband to go to the gym with me on FRIDAY.....I printed off a one week free pass. I told him I needed it for my MENTAL HEALTH. I was hitting the skids. He ACTUALLY DID IT! Then we set up an appointment to have someone show how us to use the machines correctly on Sunday. I cannot do much in the way of aerobics. Treadmill is out. Even sometimes on the bikes; my toes get smashed too much on my L foot and too much standing on the elliptical....so machines are better than nothing and at least I have the knowledge of knowing I went. They are a lot of the same ones on the Biggest Loser. OK....get ready for it...........we got up at 5AM today and were there by 5:30 so we could be back home by 6:30. It helps that's it's less than 5 minutes away!

Eating is going OK. No gain- no loss. Hoping the gym will make a dent (in all the right places)!!

Hoping that one week pass will rub off and he will join so he will keep going. It's been such a blessing.

That's awesome Liebly! I hope you will find the right machines for you. You're a better woman than I am. I couldn't get myself up early to exercise for anything! Hey, how's the Topamax working for you?

I am not sure about the Topomax.......I have had one headache that was not fun; so I suppose that's an improvement.
I have had no side effects except for I feel like I have nasty breath- or a nasty taste in my mouth even RIGHT after I brush my teeth. I haven't lost an ounce- in case you wondered! I never react to anything the way most people do!!
But, I do think it's lessening them; so for that I am thankful.
The doctor also recommended this home traction device provided my insurance covers it and I got to try it out today.......WOWOWOW! I am think I AM IN LOVE! It opened my neck up so much- I almost feel like I am in la-la land right now!! LOL

Gym is going to be slow going. Two days of work and foot is throbbing. Trying to think of something QUICK I can make us for lunch tomorrow so I don't have to stand up cuz I just can't muster the energy of standing up!!
I NEVER cook QUICK!!

HI guys!

Liebly, that is so great that you are trying to do the gym! And majorly impressive getting up at that hour! Keep up the good work! I hope your husband takes to it, that extra support and motivation would do wonders :D The traction sounds interesting!
I have not been back to work yet from my surgery 5 mos ago, I can only imagine what you are going through!
I am in week 3 of p2, and fighting discouragement. I have never tried so hard, been so consistent, cooked so much, said "no" to all the sugar I usually have, and still no real results. Well, I am seeing results somewhat, and I have been giving myself the pep talk I would give someone else, it is just discouraging! I am down 5 pounds, it was 7 but probably just a fluctuation. I have decided to just try this next month without expectations. It truly is hard to break my old mindsets, but I am really working on it!
I have to eat anyway, so no matter what I might as well eat in the way that keeps me feeling healthy and energetic! Even if I never lost another pound, I am still healthier than before! That being said, I really wanted a fresh baked cookie at my friends' house today, but could not bring myself to have even one! I came home and had my apple with homemade peanut butter! One day at a time, sometimes just one snack at a time!
Hope all is well with everybody :D

QUEEN JEAN:
Your statement of :

is the story of my LIFE!!! The ladies that have been on this list since LAST JAN 19 KNOW IT!!! THEY all got on the scale and LOST and had great stories most of the time. There were those moments, of course, and occ. setbacks; but for the most part; I was the was the one who plugged along and a YEAR later finally lost 20 pounds. Of course THAT fabulous day was the day before my foot surgery and then I sat around for the next well, what's the date again, oh yeah Feb. 17, 2010!!! So, I have a good 5 pounds LEFT to lose that I gained BACK!! Do you have any cheese to go with my whine???

Liebly- What's the name of the traction device? I have had a neck ache for the past 2 weeks. I think I told you that my herniated discs act up from time to time. I wonder if something like that would help me when that happens.

Jean- It was a slow road for me too, but I have been told that the slower you lose it the longer it stays off. So, I'm ok with that. What's with your friend making cookies every day? Tell her to stop that! Good for you for resisting though :D

Good Morning!
Shaking up my routine this morning! I had one of those menopausal nights again last night! I laid awake from 12:00(after getting up 2-3 times for bathroom) until 3:30! Ugggh! I am such a zombie this am and so not ready for my workout!
Teachermom-I like the longer it stays off part of the slower you lose!
Liebly-Would you like some low fat babybel cheese for that whine! Coz you know we are not allowed full fat cheese! :D

I read and copied some good recipes last night for desserts. I try not to do them too often because that is just substituting for all the sugar I used to eat. A few a week is not a bad thing, especially if I am feeling particularly weak!

I know we all struggle with this journey, that is the greatest thing with this board! I do not want to whine all the time, but sometimes I just have to spew it out and be done with it!

So today is a new day, and I must go face down my workout! Talk to you all later! Love ya!

Happy Friday!
How is everybody doing this fine Friday? Did my workout, put some extra time and effort into it, it felt great!
I am contemplating going to a quilting retreat next month. I always have a great time and accomplish quite a bit. The huge downside of this is that the major focus of these events is, you guessed it: FOOD! I kid you not, the last retreat I went to had 3 six foot tables, laden with everything that you could possibly imagine that 80 women would think of to bring. It was actually so overwhelming, and kind of disgusting to see people gorging 24/7. However, that has not stopped me in the past from grazing on junk all weekend long. I have worked so flipping hard these past couple of months, and I fear the damage 3 days could do!!! Now sitting here safely at home, I can come up with alternative plans, bring my own snacks, etc., etc. I just do not know if I could be strong enough to continuously say no! I hate to give up a fun trip because of my weaknesses, but I know myself and sugar! It is the demon-possessed stuff of my previous disasters! I must give this more thought!~

Have a lovely day on the beach, and may you not encounter buffet tables to distract you!! :D

Hey Jean,
I think everyone is busy these days. Have you joined a group that has people that started South Beach when you did? That would probably be better for your support.

Hi Guys!
Teachermom-Actually, I only started one day before this group. I certainly understand everyone is busy, and I have more the usual amount of time to invest! I will peruse other groups as PaulaB suggested as well!
