Hey Gramma - yes I`m having the same problem with the screen jumping on long posts... and I`m a long poster so it drives me NUTS too!

Thanks for the chocolate cake. That sounds delicious! Do you think I can use olive oil instead of the butter :?: I wonder if it will work out the same.

Hi Girls! Thanks for visiting :) Needed that hug, YB, right on time. And CHESSIE...SO WONDERFUL to see you back. Been ages since talking to you. How are you??? Give an update when you can. I'll ck back often.

Beaching It, I'm sure olive oil would work well and I've but the amt down to 1/2 T butter, thinking the same for evoo. It's soooo good! My birthday is next Tues...YES, GroundHog Day, no less, and I'm requesting this recipe for my treat :) Let me know what you think of it after you've tried it, k? And that jumpy screen, pushing me over the edge! Heard anything about it from RedRox, maybe?? I'll make time to let him know tomorrow, just in case the folks here are unaware of the problem.

Not much time to write this evening but am eating beachy except for a repeat no-no....twice recently I ate heatlhy at our fav hole-in-the-wall mexican joint and twice I ate the chips...hot, thin corn ones with TONS of salsa which is safe but the chips...they are NOT beachy at all. Came home SO disgusted with myself, vowing to NOT do this again. Pedaled hard to try and do penance :) Walking in the morning too. Vowed to not eat out again until my birthday next wk but thinking I may not even eat out then, as long as I have my chocolate SB cake, I think I'll ask the family if we can eat at home instead. Sounds like a plan...

Getting DJ again Thurs and Fri so his family can attend a wake and funeral. Dinner on the grounds at church this Sun but I'm taking my own healthy food. Will NOT get caught w/out SB ammuniton to combat all the non-healthy stuff the rest of the church will bring :) NOT a good time for me to be tempted!!! Going armed!!!!

Hope each of you are doing well. I know I haven't 'talked' to many of you recently; hope not to have let anyone down. My life has gotten so strangely different w/dd's presence here all the time. Small place here to begin with and add her to the mix...I just don't have much 'me' time at all anymore. Pray for me if you think of it, that I'll get in the time I need to plan and implement my food plan and stay on track. I'm committed, just need to continually focus on my goals.

See you in the sand...I'll have my lime green polka-dot flip flops flapping along :) Hugs.

Hi Gramma!
I'll keep y'all in my prayers.
I understand about not having much space, and I also understand about not having much 'me' time.

God Bless and take care, hon!

Good morning Gramma, your flip flops always make me giggle, especially on a cold winter day. :D
Set aside that "me" time, only YOU can do it. Communicate with your household, let them know your needs. I'll bet someone else in your home is feeling similar!

Congrats on taking control at church meals. No excuse for giving in to naughiness at church with your own food planning. Bonus is you'll know just how you're going to feel afterward. Nothing worse than eating something non SB and feeling physically horrible afterwards.

Keep those flip flops moving down the beach. See ya there!

Sounds like you're doing great, even with DD in the house and not as much time for you as before! I'll keep you posted on the cake. I'm definitely making that this weekend.

Top of the morning to you Gramma :D

Glad to see that even though you've got lots going on in life that you remain steadfast on your journey. You will get back on the e-train fully when you can as now your body is used to it. Just look at how far we've traveled from a year ago...AMAZING to say the least 8)

I know you will be very busy beginning today with Little DJ coming over. It is my hope that you are taking good care of yourself and putting Kathy first! Wishing you a terrific Thursday as we continue our journey on the Beach. All my love

p.s. Sent you a PM.

Hi Gramma :waves:

I am with you on the having space thing; I have gone from just me and df to a house with 5 other people, 4 dogs and a cat, and just keeping on top of all that really makes a difference to that 'me time'! It's less possible to take some serious computer time, I know :) but I thought that I would just try to call in when I could anyway, if only to say hi. I am back on the beach now (although I sampled a few Valentine's candies today that I made!) and I know that it just takes planning to make sure that it's easy to stick to. Tonight I made a roast chicken dinner for everybody - now I don't eat chicken so I put some salmon in some foil (With some chickpeas of course!) and just added some pesto, and took my fill of the veggies. For pudding we made a trifle served with icecream, so I had some stewed rhubarb and yoghurt with sweetner - and I didn't feel like I was missing out at all :) it was a great dinner!

I hope that your meal at the church goes well today too, I'm sure that you will come back feeling much the same as I did :) Love and hugs! xxxx

Thanks so much for all the great birthday wishes :D Tues was my birthday, Wed was our anniversary so lots of partying going on here :) YES, I did eat a whole chocolate cake by myself...chocolate/coconut to be exact...perfectly beachy, and the whole cake was actually an individual sized one...just 210 calories. I know..that's double the recommended SB daily calories but hey...it was 2 holidays...right!!?? And Suzzi...you missed a great blackened shrimp salad from Pappadeaux....you're close enough you could have had birthday/anniversary lunch with us. Will let you know next yr ahead of time, promise!

How are YOU all doing? I hope you're on track for life. This SB definitely gets in your blood, of that I can attest. Even when I ate non-beachy things, it was forever in my brain that I should be eating beachy :) That says alot about how eating healthy begets eating healthy.

Life continues to move on...I get about an hr total online daily compared to 6-10 hrs daily just a yr ago. 6-10 was way too many, an hr, way too few but then, that goes right along with my wonderful gift of being obsessive/compulsive..either all or nothing, that's me!   Hard to get my email letters responded to in that hr and have been absent here more often than not. Beautiful fact is, though, I'm on track food-wise. STILL not getting in my exercise like I should but am happy wiht all that's going on here, that I'm able to eat healthy. There are days I'd literally KILL for some non-beachy foods! Not cravings of that sort really, just stress and emotions trying to overtake the new me. I've been good, though. You'd be proud of me.

I've had several family members contact me recently, asking for SB info, recipes, tips, etc....I've copied, pasted, emailed, snail mailed and am encouraging these loved ones to JUST DO IT! Going to be exciting watching SB work for them as it has for all of us here. I shared our website with a couple also, haven't seen them here yet but hoping to.

The construction crew that's taken ownership of our entire neighborhood as they replace gasline pipes is still here. Makes walking my neighborhood impossible; they're here before daylight, stay until way past dark, work Saturdays too. (I'd like to have their paycks!!) Sundays...been walking on Sundays, but once a wk is NOT enough. Weight loss is slow but understandably so...not much exercise equals slower metabolism equals slow or no wgt loss. Doesn't take a rocket scientiest to figure that one out, huh  Am happy with having 5 lbs off since returning from Ohio in Dec, though. Will count that as a positive.

The jumpy page syndrome has started, signalling its time to end this post. You all take GOOD care, know you're in my thoughts, heart and prayers MANY times a day and that as my time becomes more mine...I'll be here much more often. Love you all, Gramma
