Sounds wonderful. Rox! I think it's fun to change it up a bit sometimes. My last class we went from tripod headstand down on one leg into half moon-fun! Harder on one side for me than the other. I celebrated my 3 years of yoga birthday on December 26th-can you believe it. I truly love my heated power vinyasa-it has been life changing for me on and off the mat.
Yesterdays food was spot on and I feel good stringing clean beachy days together after indulging during the holidays. Chose not to drink after paddle last night so I could keep the day Phase 1 ish. Going to try to avoid fruit and grains this week to detox all the sugar and white flour I treated myself with. Probably do phase 2 next week if all cravings diminish. Not typically one to do phase 1 again and again after working this way of life so long so it is a lesson in discipline, creativity and flexibility in my food choices. As always working it!

Congrats on the yogaversary!! :D

I actually would have gone home, had a bite to eat and gone up to the Boulder CPY studio for a 2 hour rock n roll vinyasa workshop late that afternoon with 2 instructors I really like up there (they are a couple as well), but we decided to go to the movies and see "Up in the Air" instead at their discounted twilight rate. (cheaper than a matinee!)

Thanks! That rock and roll workshop sounded like a blast!! Did you like that movie?
Jams said too much protein yesterday and I thought too much fat. I really need to get myself out in this snowy weather and food shop. Need to get him posting on my journal and these boards again-all new people and he needs to share his expertise with more than just me.
Calories on the turkey sausage were 90 calories each and I had three!!!! I was hungry! Need to re look at phase 1 food list and build a shopping list. Feel better eating healthy. Funny, when I eat crappy I think about food so much more. Playing paddle at 1-so need to get this arse in gear!

yeah it was a pretty good movie. But if you like happy tidy endings, then probably skip it! It was really funny through most of it though.

Mmm. You must not be keeping me busy enough elsewhere if I have time to read journals.

Spent the afternoon locked behind closed doors writing an elevator speech. Tomorrow should be better.

Hope it is uplifting!(elevator joke!)
Food yesterday-
B-two egg omelet with feta cheese and spicy V8
S-pistachio nuts
L-large salad w/ chicken, olives, chick peas and blue cheese dressing
D-Chicken French on spinach w a small Caesar salad ( yes I realize this is dredged lightly in flour but ate it all during my successful weight loss phase ) Does not trigger me to eat white flour.
Exercise-1 hour on the dreadmill-loving the inclines and the change in speed and running more.
Sweet black pants are fitting better!

Playing paddle at nine this morn in a snow storm with seven other crazy women for round robin play-fun. Then a lunch date with my paddle partner who is also dieting so we will be good and on track.

Little time to get on here yesterday. Had 44 swimmers and divers at my house at 6 pm for a pasta psyche party and paddle tennis after(another win next week and we move up a level). The day was spent shopping, cleaning and preparing. NUTSO!!!All went well and the house still looks clean-absolutely miraculous! Food yesterday was sparse but clean.
Lunch-Very large salad w/ chicken/chick peas/olives/avocado/poppyseed dressing
Dinner-Vegetable soup, Greens and Beans, raw veggies
This morning I play paddle again and then need to work a bit.
B-Greek yogurt w/ SF syrup and nuts
L-? maybe tuna
D- Squash soup(if I get the chance to make it!) and some kind of protein

Swim meet this afternoon-so three hours on my arse in a hot pool-yehah!!!

Yesterdays Food-
B-Greek yogurt w/ almond extract and nuts
L-squash soup
S-cheese sticks (2)
D-Large Cobb Salad w/ Blue Cheese dressing
S-2 squares of Dark Chocolate
Exercise-90 minutes of platform tennis

Today I begin the spring semester teaching 4 education courses at the College I work at. I am teaching a different schedule than typical and I am interested to see how well it works. Shorter class times but we meet three times a week. Need to be on task and efficient w/ time. Will make sure I eat breakfast before I leave since following class I immediately run out to make a paddle match at 1:00. May be tricky!!!
I have been doing phase 1 since January 3rd and feel very ready to add back fruit but will wait the full two weeks before I do. Loving my treadmill and feel thinner. Two more weeks of swim team practice and then we will have no more meets playing havoc with my schedule except sectionals and pennant party and banquet prep. I like being the team parent manager but it is a lot of work. Working it in so many ways but feet on the sand on the beach. (and of course now with sunscreen)
