Postby 080909 » Sat Oct 24, 2009 8:04 am

Well, here i am, 16 pounds lighter after 2 months! i didn't realize how easy it is to make this lifestyle change. Of course its been a challenge at first, especially, for me, being asian, we love our white rice!

Good luck to everyone on the SBDiet, you can do it! :D

Hummm, I must be doing something wrong. After 2 months I have only lost 10 lbs and plateaud. Though what I have not lost in weight I have gained in tons more energy and a new and healthy life long lifestyle.

First post lady give me a idea of a typical daily menu and what you do for exercise, cause I have the exact same height, starting weight, and age. Or all of you for that matter - what is an easy daily menu to follow in Phase 2 that helps to get past plateaus.

Thanks!

Update to my last post about plateauing. It turns out our bodies sometime plateau for 3 weeks then the weight loss resumes again. For me, after a 3 week weight hiatus, I am once again happily losing pounds and gaining energy. And now within 1 pound of my goal weight of 135 after 2.5 months and a start weight of 150. I may revise my goal weight since I'm so pleased with this new eating lifestyle.

FWIW, that kind of lengthy plateau and then weight loss resuming is really very typical. Hence my common response to people that weight loss is neither linear, predictable, nor comparable. Each of our journey's is going to be different. If all you focus on is the scale, you will have a difficult time sustaining your effort over time simply because it is not linear or predictable. You can have "perfect" weeks and not lose anything and have a "bad" week and lose weight. Sometimes the scale just doesn't make "sense". When the focus is on eating right, moving more and making it a sustainable lifestyle, then eventually the scale will usually work in your favor. Anyway, glad you were able to work through your plateau and essentially reaching your goal! :) Just keep going! :)

I also have very similar stats. Have only been in P2 for 2 weeks and have not lost any more weight...but do feel ok and can control the cravings. I am glad to hear about the weight loss stopping and then resuming. It will help me not to lose faith!

That's a very common pattern. People often put back on a little of the water weight that they lost in p1 as they add back the fruits and grains/starches. It doesn't mean you aren't losing bodyfat.
My FAQ-- food lists, portion guidelines, etc.
